We decided to try Aixois late Saturday night and sat on the patio. The atmosphere was beautiful, although we did feel a little under-dressed compared to other patrons. We tried the white and red blends and they were just okay, but well-priced. We tried the pistachio pasta with salmon (good) and the grilled hangar steak with fries. The fries were cut and cooked nicely and the salad greens were a nice addition. Unfortunately I ordered my steak medium and it was served to me blue-rare. I didn’t mention it to the server because it was getting late (she had already mentioned last call for bar), but honestly I was pretty disappointed. Considering the steak is served pre-sliced, I’m surprised it was able to make it past the kitchen staff, expo and server without someone realizing it was closer to raw than medium. This restaurant is a wonderful place to grab a late-night cocktail, but for the price point and lack of attention to detail, I would rather have dinner somewhere else beforehand.
