I should have read the reviews before going to this restaurant, but it was recommended by the hotel, so I assumed it would be good. It was not. First the service was absolutely poor. They have far too many tables for the number of waiters, so they were slow to attend to you. Second the food was mediocre at best, and that's being generous. I ordered an octopus, and the meat should be tender... NOT! It was hard. We had an orange salad that wasn't bed, but can you really mess up a salad? I really would not recommend this restaurant if you want to have good food. If you want to be in a touristy area and have a drink, it's okay as long as you are patient.

Despite the reviews still tried the location…should have heeded the advice. Service was slow, had to ask for our bill 3 times. Food was okay (does not justify the prices they charge). They automatically give you stuff to raise the bill (like automatically give you bread and charge you $1.50 per person). Overall, would not recommend to eat here.

A bit of a tourist trap. The location is wonderful, but the food is sad.

We appreciated our dinner over there. The waiter was very fast to serve the food and the drinks. There was no pinxtos available that night, only the items on the menu. Everything we ordered was good. Recommanded.

Great place for lunch. Large portions of delicious food

We went to this nice restaurant tonight, a Monday, while in Astorga for the night while walking the Camino. We were immediately seated at a great table by one of the serving staff. Very quickly we were attended to by the head waiter who brought us a basket of bread (free) and took our drinks order. I had a beer and my wife had a nice glass of red wine (€2.40 each). We both had the Aizkorri hamburger with fries which arrived quickly and were delicious. The place quickly filled up with other pilgrims plus a considerable number of locals who were enjoying drinks and tapas. The atmosphere was very good with a great decor and a nice vibe. The total cost was €42 and was exactly as expected. I did visit the bathroom which was clean and had an electric hand dryer that worked well. Overall we really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant and I cannot imagine why there are so many negative reviews. Perhaps disgruntled competitors?

The Fries were severely undercooked and drenched in a disgusting, artificial cheese sauce that smelled disgusting! The prices are ridiculous! Undercooked Huevos Fritos con Patatas for 9 Euros?!? And then they are THAT bad?! The cook has NO respect for the food nor the customer! And the waiters treat you very bad indeed to top it all off :(… the second bad experience in this plaza after we were also treated even worse in the Restaurant next door. Avoid this awful experience and go to a better and cheaper place nearby in a sidestreet!

Was an excellent opportunity but lunch starts @ 1pm. Refreshing stop. Astorga is a great place to be.
