While listing as walking distance from the aizu-wakamatsu station, it could not be sighted from the exit of the station. As usual, a kind japanese staff at the bus terminal showed us the way. The hotel is hidden by another tall building. The hotel is hidden behind the Tokio Marine building. It's about 5 to 10 minutes walk from the station. If you have large luggages, it's a tough walk as the road leading to the hotel is rough and you need to negotiate 2 traffic lights. It's a fairly old hotel. On checking in, we were told that due to maintenance there will be no electricity until past 4 pm. Room is small and could barely fit 2 large suitcases. Breakfast was just adequate. However, there are not many other hotels in Aizuwakamatsu near the station

The receptionist Oono was super rude. She just threw the luggage at you without saying anything. But she was a complete different person to the locals. She should not work in hotel if she doesn’t like foreigners. The toilet and bathroom were extremely smelly. The smell was coming from the mould underneath the sink. The toilet was not well ventilated. It was not clean as some of the comments describe.

The rooms were old and had no AC. The Wifi was weak. THERE WAS A COCKROACH IN MY ROOM!! I will never stay here again. Plenty of other hotels in the area.

Location is strategic as it’s near to the train station. Opposite to the hotel is the famous restaurant selling pork katsu don. There are 2 convenience stores nearby.

The hotel room was fine and big enough for us with our large rucksacks. It was clean and we were able to both shower then fill the bath for a soak each evening. They have bath salts on the front desk you can take freely. We got a good nights sleep. We didn't book breakfast but we went for breakfast and added the charge to our room. It was a full buffet breakfast and all was delicious. The views from the restaurant are very pleasant. The location is great being nearby the Train Station and for sightseeing. We booked this place as it was easy and having traveled from Goshogawara. We wanted a place we could get to quickly. Although the hotel is likely classed as a business hotel it didn't feel like one. It didn't feel like a hotel-hotel either. Nor a luxury hotel. Something felt odd about it. Maybe they focus heavily on getting people in for weddings/events.

Hotel was nice and staff helpful despite minimal English. All was great until we went to get under the covers and go to sleep quite late around midnight. My wife felt bed mattress was wet through the sheets. She complained that it smelt of urine. I did nt initially believe her and I had to check for myself. Sadly she was correct and I felt what she was feeling. The hotel was fully booked so we decided to sleep top to toe on my side of the small double bed. That was difficult and the smell had come through the covers. So needless to say we sat up in the very small space and got zero sleep. Upon checking out I attempted to tell staff of the urine soaked bedding. They didnt understand and I left them an English written note. Everything else at the hotel was great but a urine soaked bed is gross and spoiled our visit to Wakamatsu. So be careful if you got to this hotel Check the mattress straight away. It is obvious that cleaning staff just ignored it and put new sheets over the top of the very wet mattress. Gross.......

I stayed overnight in a very compact but also very practical room with everything I needed. The space was well-designed with a good-sized desk which had three powerpoints above it (yay! doesn't happen everywhere), so easy to plug in tablet and accessories, and also charge phone and camera battery. Small fridge and tv, humidifier, electric jug, nighshirt and complimentary slilppers. Lovely ceramic tea mugs. I did find the waste bins a little small (no recycling but that's often the case in Japanese hotels). Wi fi worked well, and there was a radio. The comfortable bed had a nice flat pillow and lighting console conveniently placed. The bathroom was small but there was a good deep bath. Interesting city and mountain views from the room. The hotel lobby was attractively decorated. The location was conveniently close to the JR Station as well as eateries and some shops. Good value, and would stay again.

This is the first time I come to Aitsuwakamatsu. I stayed here for four nights. Its location is not far from the main station with 7-11 and Lion d'Or supermarket around. So pretty convenient. It's breakfast is perfect with different kinds of choices including western and Japanese styles. It will be my first choice when I visit the city next time.
