"A’jia Istanbul’s heart, the Bosporus Strait, snakes through the metropolis and splits Asia from Europe. Away from the central city hubbub, A’jia is tucked into the upper Bosporus shoreline with panoramic views across this watery highway. Guests staying here dip their toes into a waterfront world once reserved as a summer haunt for the sultan’s family and high-ranking members of the Ottoman court. Built in 1897, this yalı (waterfront mansion) was home to Ahmet Rasim Pasha, the Ottoman governor of Tripoli. The painstaking conversion in 2005 preserved the bones of the original, ornately flourished architectural style while transforming the interiors into spaces designed with a white-on-white palette that draw guests’ eyes directly to the stunning Bosporus. High-ceilinged rooms are flooded with light and dominated by oversized beds with Italian linens. Bathrooms are outfitted with Philippe Starck fixtures and fragrant bath products by Acqua di Parma that encourage long soaks in bathtubs with a view."

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Ajia and I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The food was exceptional—every dish was beautifully prepared and received rave reviews from all our guests. The service was outstanding as well. Nuse, the hotel manager, was incredibly supportive and professional throughout the entire planning process and on the day of the event. She was always punctual, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on time. Her attention to detail and commitment to making our day special truly made a difference. Overall, Ajia exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and accommodating wedding venue!

Thank you for a dream wedding! Our son got married in Ajia, in August 2023. We also booked the rooms for the night. The wedding reception was perfect in an iconic background. Food was incredible. Many of our guests particularly complimented us on the quality of the food. It was a multinational list of guests with an Italian bride, and they were all very happy. Service was very good, all the hotel staff very helpful. From the first day of our contact, Nuşe Alpaslan was extremely helpful. She gave us excellent advice and was there during the whole event, making sure that everything went well. Thank you!

Fantastic location with stunning views of the Bosphorus. We were delighted with our balcony room and the spacious, immaculate bathroom. The daily Turkish breakfast right next to the waters of the strait was excellent and featured the famous local yoghurt from Kanlica. We tried the hotel restaurant once and were impressed with the kofte. Lots of great and affordable food is available nearby within a short walk. Do note that yachts going by can blare noisy music in the evenings but the mood otherwise is idyllic and the service excellent. The hotel arranged a very professional and honest taxi driver to take us to airport.

This used to be very nice hotel and this is why I prefered to stay here for a “great evening” with my family in İstanbul The location is fantastic, but be cautious about non-sea view rooms. Unfortunately, our room faced a construction work on the road and there was a GSM receiver underneath. Please see the photos from my room, not exactly same as the photos you see on the website. While the overall experience was good, the reception's assistance fell short. Avoid park view rooms; they may not justify the cost. It doesn’t worth the money you pay

It should definitely be reopened for daily services. Whenever we go, there is a celebration for foreigners or jet-sets. Gorgeous view. It was one of our favorite places as a team. However, if you want to drink coffee and experience the scenery during the event seasons, it is not possible without establishing enough intimacy. Services are great.

I spent a rainy 24 hours in the hotel, which was an exciting experience since it was a Sunday lockdown in Istanbul and Beykoz neighborhood was much more beautiful with less traffic and no fishermen. The hotel is absolutely unique in the area and just on the edge of the water with amazing views of the European side, quiet and cozy. The staff are super nice especially Izge, the front desk girl, with a very good command of English ( despite the generally weak English in Turkey), warm and welcoming; However, it seems that it’s been ages since the hotel was last refurbished. Rooms need serious and immediate restoration. The air conditioning did not work properly and the best terrace suite where I stayed did not have a shower but just a tub. By and large, it’s surly worth visiting once.
