Our family had a really awesome experience. The food was very fresh and delicious we ordered a big variety. They had beautiful displays, and took pride in their meal preperation. Our waitress was extremely kind and was excellent with our kids. She gave us a lot of attention. The other staff were extremely friendly as well. We will be back for sure.

Ajimi was nearby my airbnb so i stopped by for dinner twice during my short stay in FBX. First visit: Had Vege tempura, Albacore Carpaccio, & Mafia Roll. All were 👍 ⭐️. Wonderful server. She showed warm hospitality throughout. Staff were welcoming & friendly too. 2nd visit: Had Ajimi Combo 7. Delicious. They gave generous portions of all items. The sashimi was fresh & buttery. Service was mid this time. A wave of customers came in at the last 1.5 hours before closing so things got hectic. Server was polite though & checked on me. Overall, a solid & reliable place for Japanese cuisine in a central location.

Best sushi in Fairbanks! Everything was flavorful and insanely delicious. Also, portions are a good size. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Ajimi is the best sushi restaurant in Fairbanks! The staff is always friendly and fast. I’ve never gotten anything I didn’t love from their menu. They frequently give out free samples that also hit the spot. If you can only go to one sushi restaurant, this is the one! We go frequently and take every visitor.

Ajimi boasts one of the most aesthetically pleasing interior designs among all the restaurants I've visited in Fairbanks. Additionally, the food is exceptional! Of all the Japanese restaurants in Fairbanks, this one takes the cake. I highly recommend it to both locals and tourists.

We are from socal where best asian restaurants in us are. We have been to multiple great restaurants and this one of the best asian restaurant in Alaska. Not only is japanese food great but their korean dishes like kalbi or bibimbap is top tier. The waitresses are super courteous and the owner is so giving and generous. You must try here when visiting fairbanks.

The best miso soup EVER! We had didn't plan on doing his spot, relying on Yelp reviews that sung its praises. The staff is friendly and prompt and answered all our questions about prep of certain dishes. The interior has booths as well as tables. Everything was clean. The chef offered us a complimentary appetizer of lightly fried asparagus on lettuce drizzled with a plum sauce. Delicious. The ramen bowls were huge and the broth rich and deep. I finished my bowl after later in the evening. Still delicious. I would return to this unexpected gem for several dinners a week.

Service is super friendly and the location is nice for a quiet meal. The menu is large and in the past I have had great luck at finding excellent sushi options. This time the food looked great but didn't wow me with flavor. It was all very good but was looking for more pizzazz from the Colorado roll. Overall very good food.

Service is friendly and casual. The food is made to order. I would put the flavor up against any Asian restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. It's your basic booth style seating with the Asian decor that honestly is simple and beautiful. The miso soup is brought out with your drinks. It is uncomplicated. My appetizer was creamy jalapeño which I thought was going to be a cream cheese with a small amount of spicy tuna filled jalapeño but instead was mostly spicy tuna with just enough cream cheese to make it stick together stuffed into a nori wrap jalapeño and sliced bias. The Ramen was amazing. It's a favorite place to visit in Fairbanks

Service - the best - love the warm towel and free soup and appetizers. The towel smells fresh and gives a calming feeling. They welcome the customers and the two lady servers have great smiles and very attentive. The men behind the sushi bar are excellent in their job and also sensitive to the needs of the customers. They remind the servers if the food is ready - great team work! Ambiance - minimalist but good enough Food - great portion and tastes great too. We ordered bento, combo #5, and yakisoba - all are tasty. Sushi/sashimi are fresh-' This is my first time and will definitely will come again next time I visit Fairbanks. Most of the other customers are regulars and know the workers... Lots of parking too.

My second time here and the sushi cooks at the bar are amazing. Atmosphere is always nice. Customer service is top notch. Sushi we had were both fantastic. I will be back again before go back home for sure.

We're visiting from out of town and went with some regulars. Had 6 in our party, seated quickly and great service the entire evening. Mafia roll was very good, spicy tuna roll was delicious, and the scallops were perfectly sweet. The sake was scalding hot and took a while to cook to a drinkable temperature, and seemed to lose a bit of flavor in the process. The salmon carpaccio was a great flavor combination but challenging to eat... about 1/4 of the crunchy onions and it would be even better! Generous portions make it a good value. Would come again!

Sit at the bar if u feel boring. Had a very long and nice conversation with the staffs who were making sushi's. Food was great. Quiet place with nice people.

Restaurant roulette once again gave us an amazing food adventure. In all honesty, we are total newbies at the type of food served here. After lots of Google help researching to understand items, we decided on 2 lunch boxes so that we could try the egg roll from one and the gyoza from the other. We also substituted beef teriyaki for the listed chicken teriyaki. The food was delivered at appropriate temperatures and was really good. Props to the lady who was serving, bussing, and handling the register on her own. She was so very nice and handled all our questions with a smile. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and casual.

First let me say the owner of this restaurant is a very nice lady. I wish I could recall the name of my dish but what I can say is the food and wine was great. Great ambiance very relaxing and clean. Food is fresh and they have tofu for us vegans which was a plus. Highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner with friends. Laid back not fancy but nice and relaxing with great wine and food

We felt like kings eating here!! First sushi restaurant that has offered hot towels, free miso soup, and a free appetizer! The miso and appetizer were so good, I believe the appetizer was a kind of fried salmon salad. I ordered a sushi specialty roll and the portion size was huge. Service was amazing and the restaurant is big and clean. If I go back to Fairbanks I would definitely come back here!

One of the better dining options in Fairbanks! Not spectacular or impressive but not disappointing either. Looks like the inside used to be a fast food restaurant. It has old school booths so don't expect a fancy sushi restaurant dining experience. I really liked the katsu and sushi. I did not like their yakisoba-tasted like soy sauce only, no veggies.

Ajimi had sushi menus and Korean authentic menus. All the menus were very yummy. And I was so satisfied with their service. The restaurant was super clean and beautifully interiorized. All the prices of menu were reasonable. I would recommend any travelers to Alaska to eat asian foods( sushi, rolls, Korean foods) in Fairbanks of Alaska. I would definitely come back to the place when I have another chance to travel in the city.

Don't skip Ajimi if you are at Fairbanks. I am very grateful that Ajimi is opened on Black Friday and it is a great place to dine it. Everything is neat here and we ordered Fairbanks rolls, fireball roll and fried scallop roll. We had no expectations but we are happy to announce that Ajimi is a place they deserve you stop by. Food is good quality and comparable better dining experience compared to others. The owners are also very nice friendly and caring. They deserve a 4 stars.

All I can say is very good! Probably tops or close to it of of my time favorite Japanese restaurants. I love sushi. Owners are very kind. Chef's are friendly and get it done.

Very good and fresh food. Great service. Only complaint is the lack of portion size. I've been to a many Japanese restaurant, and when I saw how little of the Chicken Teriyaki was given I almost thought it was a kids plate. But I would come back if I'm ever in Fairbanks again.

Sushi is good, but poki dish was slimy, disgusting looking, didn't touch it. Left no tip as the other items ordered weren't served, receipt was $34.90, was very surprised a few days later to see they added $10 to the bill a few days later. Don't usually leave reviews but when the service is so bad and they take it upon themselves to add a tip without customer service feels like theft. Update: Credit Card company reimbursed the $10 they added, they couldn't produce proof of a valid charge.

Wow!!! Ajimi was such a hit! As a huge, huge, huge eel fan I can truly say I have not had better eel. It was so perfectly cooked so that it had an amazing consistency and was not overly well-done as I have found at many other places. We came in towards the end of the night but they were so accommodating to our group. I loved that we got little hot towels at the beginning too. They also upgraded my rice to seaweed salad and didn't charge me (which was so kind of them). I loved their seaweed salad too and would highly recommend. Their rolls were very tasty and they had a lot of different options and specialty rolls. All the fish tasted super fresh and after talking to the owner or manager and complimenting her on their eel I can say I would definitely make a stop here next time I am visiting Fairbanks!

Went in for dinner at 8, got our food and I had ordered a roll with no cucumber and it came with it, the nice older woman was super helpful and very nice! All the food was good and the atmosphere is very inviting with the wait staff. Honestly will return. Thank you so much!

Having spent a lot of time working in Japan, I will admit to being a "sushi snob". This place has totally nailed it!! Fish was amazingly fresh, rolls were nice an tight. We ordered the Love Boat (for 5) for my 2 boys and myself, the wife had a couple pieces and ordered her own food. We killed the boat in about an hour and additionally ordered a couple of our favorites. They had my favorite saki so we had a few bottles. I cannot say enough positive about this restaurant!! My oldest lives in Fairbanks and we will return every time we come to visit

This place was great! First off food was delicious, All the fish tasted very fresh and Authentic, The spicy ramen is also pretty good and well made, Overall our food was delicious and very fresh. 2nd the service was fantastic, The food came out pretty quickly and there was only 1 small error that they fixed easily and with haste, Our server Alex was very friendly, Kind and understanding a job well done, They stayed open an hour later just to serve our family which was great, I'd recommend this place to anyone in town for vacation or maybe just somewhere to stop in for some delicious sushi!

We always enjoy our lunches here. Nice calm atmosphere, fresh delicious food, and great service.

It's hard to find a sit down place in these Covid times but they are doing a remarkable job at keeping quality up along with keeping everyone at a safe distance. The food came fast and the service was remarkable. They have a great team work. When one server was busy another immediately stepped in to fill people's needs so they didn't have to wait for the other server.

Ajib I was an interesting experience. They had amazing service as well as a absolutely delicious meal. The bhogogi box was amazing and very filling.

Bulgogi was good but very dry. Bibimbap - how could someone mess a dish this simple? But gochujang sauce they use isn't what I'm used to eating. Their version was very spicy and not as sweet. I thought all gochujang sauce is just something pre-made they buy from Korean grocery store and it all tastes the same. Not to my liking. Chicken teriyaki - standard. Got 1/2 Mochi ice cream per person on the house. Total bill $48

Love Ajimi! I appreciate that they make Togo orders fun and beautiful as if I was dining in! When I order I usually make a few changes to what I'm ordering and they've always accommodated me and have worked to make my meal a fun experience.

Enjoyed the food, the presentation and the staff. If I ever return to this city, I will be sure to visit this restaurant again!

We all have off days, and unfortunately Ajimi missed the mark this time. There were dozens of interesting sushi rolls to choose from but as a seafood lover, I went with the 'Tropical Roll' off the special menu (shrimp, baby lobster, scallops, salmon, etc). When it arrived it was fairly dramatic in presentation, and attractive. However the size of each piece were far too large for just one bite. I suppose this might not affect others but for me it was awkward to eat and my roll wound up falling apart as I tried to negotiate the food into my mouth. Taste-wise: reasonably good, average. For all the exotic ingredients listed I couldn't really taste anything besides the tempura shrimp. The topping wasn't crunchy and was actually soggy. The plating was ok but they skimped on pickled ginger (my favorite) and wasabi. Service: the two young ladies who were waiting on tables were passably friendly but also aloof, and unconcerned. I had to get up and ask for water, a hot sake, and my friend's side of white rice never came until we reminded her after the meal while we boxed up our leftovers. She still charged $2.00 for it. I think Ajimi has potential to be better, and I'd like to give them another shot. Perhaps sitting at the counter near the sushi chefs to get their advice on the menu would be a good move next time :)

Excellent sushi place! We always plan on stopping by when visiting from Sacramento. Delicious rolls and friendly staff. Even got treated to a complimentary dessert on our recent visit :) A few of our favorite rolls are Volcano, Yakuza and Paradise. Complimentary miso soup and a small plate of edamame is included. Also love how they provide warm hand towels beforehand. Highly recommend this place!

Not being from Fairbanks,but coming here a couple of times a year, I wanted to have a nice business lunch. I came here with high expectations and I definitely was not disappointed. Good portions of food very tastefully and creatively prepared. Good portions of food and very fresh tasting!

The server's attitude is like we owe her thousands of bucks. The beverages we ordered never came until we asked for them again. Service isn't really good. We ordered small udon&cali roll and bibimbap, there's nothing special about the udon&cali, but the mushroom in the bibimbap tasted nasty for some unknown reasons. Not quite sure how the 4+ star rated reviews came from, because the food is definitely not worth that much. Moreover, the food, in our opinion, is too pricy for this quality.

I would say this is the best sushi place in Fairbanks. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to any modifications with any order. I've tried almost all of their specialty rolls and all were super good. Would definitely recommend if you crave sushi in the area!

Double tuna roll and the bulgogi is my favorite! I like that this place makes it an option to order the wasabi and ginger with your sushi. Quality food and great service!

Ordered appetizer. Came out with entrees. I ordered combo #6.... Katsu Was freezer burnt. Spicey tuna was way too spicy. Tuna was way too fishy...trying to cover something up? 840pm....20 minutes before closing....turns customer away saying we close at 9pm?

This was a nice place in downtown Fairbanks. I was really hungry so I came by here. All I had were their beef bulgogi. I can't recall how much I payed but man, the portion was huge!!! Really huge! So well worth the money because it was also delicious. By the way, the chef in charge of gave me a complimentary sushi. Which was amazing too by the way. Very friendly! Very kind. I'll definitely come back and try their sushi this time.

The staff was helpful and attentive to our table. We ordered ramen, which was not the best. It lacked flavor and the pork belly was very fatty with little meat. If you're checking this place out, I would recommend something other than ramen.

Dolsot Bibimbap was delicious! The meat was very flavorful. We will definitely be back.

I eat here once a week and am always welcomed in with such sweet smiles from the staff. I love those sushi chefs and they make the best sushi in town.

We had a delicious and very pleasant New Years Eve dinner at Ajimi. They are one of our favorite restaurants in Fairbanks.

We had dinner at the new location on College. It all was delicious with generous portions! I had the sushi combo C, and besides a slight mix up, it was awesome! We're visiting from Wisconsin, but will stop again when we're back!

Went here 5 years ago with friends. Very fresh ingredients and delicious sushi, we missed our flight because of eating here - food was too good...

They're very consistent with the quality and taste of their food. Very friendly staff. They are very busy during lunch and dinner hours so expect a delay. The servers are basically running during these hours so they are trying to meet everyone's needs in a timely manner. We order takeout and dine-in regularly. I think their prices are worth the quality and size compared to other Fairbanks locations.

If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Food was absolutely delicious and wait staff were wonderful.

In Fairbanks, this spot is a gem. The rolls rock and the fish is fresh as it gets here in the interior. Sit at the bar and chat these dudes up, they are pros.

We were a group of 4 returning back home from Fairbanks after an Aurora viewing trip and were excited to see so many Asian restaurants in town. We were greeted and seated immediately, but the rest of the service throughout the meal was below average. They didn't even have enough chopsticks or sauce bowls for 4 on the table despite the restaurant being completely empty and also despite reminding them constantly. Food wise they had some nice combination options which was good but their rolls were sub par. First off, the rolls were huuuuge which makes them hard to tackle! Second, proportions of fish vs rice wasn't up to the mark at all. On the plus side, the chef gave us some free samples which were quite delicious.

The service is terrible, the waitresses don't pay no mind to you. We waited for at least 10 mins to get a menu. Another 5 mins just for our drinks and didn't even offer us water. Our food took honestly longer than it should've. There were customers who came after us and got their food first. We neatly finished our miso bowls and place them on the edge of the table to let them know to take it. Each waitress just walked by and didn't pay no mind. We've gotten here at 1:09pm and it's 2:03pm still haven't gotten our food. We eventually ended up leaving. Worse service in the world. Never coming here again and defiantly don't suggest coming.

Amazing sashimi, very fresh and delicious! Glad that we tried this restaurant! And also very good service ;)
