Ajisai Sushi Bar

I tried their BBQ Salmon Bento (which on their website it seems to be called 2 Go Bento), and their BBQ Salmon Onigiri. The BBQ Salmon Bento was good, I liked the fair diversity of ingredients of the Bento, and I liked their flavour. Regarding the BBQ Salmon Onigiri, I really liked their size and flavour, the flavour of the cooked salmon was really good. About the restaurant itself, I liked how it works very well as a Takeout Restaurant, and the variety of options available for the ready-to-go service, and how they also offer the House Special Roll of their Sushi Bar as a ready-to-go option. The service was fast, friendly enough, and good. The atmosphere for a Takeout Restaurant was nice.

Love love love this! Finally, kerrisdale has our own cute little Japanese corner store! Great expansion around the corner of Ajisai with a great lunch takeout, snack and condiment selection, it's got all the essentials! Narrow space fits only 1-2 customer comfortably, but the intent is grab-and-go so I think this is totally fine as long as customers are mindful and wait outside for their turn.

The name is fitting as when you want to have last minute Ajisai quality food quickly , you can easily pop in and grab a bunch of sushi 2 go. From small boxes , to small set teriyaki and chirashi box, aburi and sushi sets, it's absolutely perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. In addition, as a mini store you can fulfill your drink and snack needs. They also have spices and cooking supplies (mirin , soy sauce). Also some frozen take home like frozen udon. All in all, what a wonderful addition to the neighborhood for some niche and quick shopping and food without having to go to the bigger stores.

I go to Fujiya regularly for to go sushi and bento boxes. In comparison, the price is a bit higher but the food is much more interesting in both flavor and ingredients. The inari sushi was awesome. Wish they had more locations in East Van.

Reasonably priced sushi. I went a bit late in the day (around 4pm) and there wasn't much left. I would recommend going earlier (maybe around lunch time). The sushi was delicious. Can't wait to go back to try other items

Decent, expected better. Smaller rolls than their main restaurant, less fresh but with the convenience. Always good service though.

Today, I bought my fourth roll. Compared to other places, I keep using it because it tastes better and more basic, but today it was salty overall.

High quality takeout sushi. Blue fin tuna don is only $21! Very fresh. Will go again.
