Ajoblanco Restaurante & Coctelería

This place deserves more than five stars! Our reservation was canceled at another place and this restaurant accommodated our large party of seven bachelorettes! Everything happens for a reason, because this place was absolutely amazing! The food was to die for, and the service was even better! These guys made our trip! There’s also a night club that we got to go to also that was SO much fun!

The waiter very friendly and helpful! The octopus was crunchy from outside and soft inside, delicious!!!

Went for preprints before gatsby, great ambience and staff friendly, cocktails great! Definitely don't miss!

It was a real treat to find that Ajoblanco has reopened. Had a fantastic evening tasting their fabulous cocktails, which are obviously made with love. The food was delicious and perfect for us as one meat eater and one vegetarian...plenty of options and the veggie dishes are so enticing that even the meat eater loved them. The steak pie looks incredible 😋 The desserts were superb, especially the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Thoroughly recommend

We had a fantastic evening at Ajoblanco with a group of 8 Belgian friends. The food was truly excellent, beautifully presented, full of flavor, and perfectly paced throughout the evening. We went for the set menu with wine pairing included, which was a great choice. The first wine served had very earthy tones that weren’t quite to our liking, but the owner immediately noticed and replaced the bottles with a much better selection — a gesture we really appreciated. The service was attentive, professional, and warm from start to finish. The cocktails deserve a special mention: creative, well-balanced, and crafted with care. The barman clearly knows his stuff and can guide you toward high-quality cocktails and spirits based on your taste. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Barcelona.

We had the nicest girls drinks night here! We got welcome drinks when we came in and then directly got seated at a lovely table! The restaurant is a vibe, with live dj and aesthetic drinks. Juliano was the best server and made our night so fun. Definitely recommend to come here before you go out!! :)

Amazing cocktails and incredible food. We ate some stunning dishes, especially the beef pie with bone marrow, a real show stopper. As for the salt baked potato wedges with crispy skins and garlic they're a game changer. Thank you Ajoblanco, we'll be back soon!

My sister who lives in Barcelona said this place is a must! We went for a typical late Spanish dinner and were not disappointed. Juliano, knew the menu well and gave us a great description of the chefs vision. If the slow cooked beef pie with bone marrow (tuetano) is on the menu get it, it is a crowd pleaser.

Friendly owner with excellent service and tasty drinks. The music by the bar is awesome and has a great vibe!

This was by far our favorite restaurant in Barcelona! Everything was delicious! You must start with the Tomato bread that is common in Barcelona. After that, anything you get will be fantastic! Enjoy!

We visited Ajoblanco for Christmas dinner, and it was excellent. The warm lighting and jolly Christmas music contributed to the festive atmosphere, and the five of us were seated together in a cozy booth. The menus had English translations, which we appreciated, and many of the waiters spoke at least some English. It made the process nice and easy. We started with tapas like Patatas Bravas, bread with tomato (a staple in Spain), some vegetable dishes, and fried goat cheese that was delicious. We also enjoyed their seafood and sausage paella, which was excellent (and big! We ended up taking leftovers home). We shared a bottle of wine, and after the meal we shared a few desserts (the chocolate coulant cake was very yummy). At the very end of the meal they brought us complimentary champagne and candy, and very celebratory and kind thing to do. We had a great time and would absolutely come back.

Second time in three days. Great restaurant, staying nearby loo ked I inviting, great service, better food. On Saturday had great chef specials. Came back Monday, chef made some of specials, even though there were not specials for Monday! If there late on weekend, like 1AM, realize turns I to night club .

Was not the biggest fan of this spot, nice atmosphere but quite pricey and the food was OK and wait staff was meh. Drinks were good though, would recommend for drinks on patio not for a dinner.

Went here for Christmas dinner mostly because they had space for 5 of us. (Hard Rock cafe did too, but come on, this was our first Christmas in Barcelona.) I'm sure hardrock is fine, but I don't want to sit next to tom Petty's dirty T-shirt while eating a Christmas Hamburger. Service was really great. English menus were nice. Food was great. Barcelona is a foodie dream, so I'm not going to lie and say this is the best food in town, but they know what they are doing, and they know how to do it. And the complementary champagne and chocolates really finished the off 2.5 hour meal perfectly. Not cheap by bcn standards, but nice for special occasion.

As a restaurant this place is decent but after midnight the front part turns into my favorite cocktail bar in Barcelona, I would get there by 1130 to secure seats.

The place is cool. Good decor, really good food and reasonable prices. At midnight it turned into more of a club and the music changed to disco/70s/dance which I liked. The only negative was the service. Servers were nice and I appreciate they were busy but they were inattentive and slow. We were sitting right on the main aisle that runs from the bar/front to the back and we still could barely get service. We sat for at least 15 minutes without even being asked what we wanted to drink until I flagged someone down and he immediately took our order. After that the starters came right out but my drink didn't. I asked several people who walked by to please help with my drink and eventually it came 10-15 mins later. While we were waiting for our main dishes someone dropped off dessert menus and asked if we wanted desert or coffee. During the meal I ran out of water and once again no one was coming by and I had to ask 3/4 times for another bottle. It was our first time there so I don't know if this is normal or an off night. I would go again because the food was really good and the place is cool and fairly priced, but if I had slow service again then it would be my last visit. I will give it 4 stars with the benefit of the doubt but next time it would be 3 or 2 if the service isn't better.

Hace tiempo que le tenía ganas a este bar porque me lo habían recomendando mucho. Por fin me pase y la verdad me gusto bastante. Es un buen sitio para ir x copas antes de salir a Sutton o bling bling. Nosotras estuvimos en la barra de la entrada y es verdad que en algún momento lo sentí muy lleno, pero si te incomoda estar entre tanta gente, te puedes ir a la parte de atrás que es un restaurante y ahí te puedes tomar tu copa tranquilamente. Me pareció un buen lugar para hacer festejos, vi varios grupos grandes. Es un lugar pijo por lo que las copas te costaran aprox 12€. Yo probé el gin mare y me pareció delicioso. A ver si se animan!!!

This is probably the worst place for a tourist to go, by no means is it one euro sign. They have bad customer service, rude waiters, and in general a small portion size. My pasta advertised prawns and salmon. But instead I got one prawn and a don't think the cannoli had any salmon in it, needless to say the food is bland and not very filling. At the end of the day when we asked for the check the waiter was very short tempered and left without giving us our bill when we told him we'd like to split the bill. He comes back 15 minutes later (barely any ppl at the restaurant), and finally charges us. All in all the food is bland, the service is bad, and the dishes are over priced. There are plenty of good restaurants in Barcelona, but this isn't one of them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I went here with a group of friends and loved the chill dj playing house tunes with a mix of 80s. The atmosphere was classy with more of a 30 year old vibe. Bar a bit crowded, but definitely a place to return to.

Wow! I almost walked out of the place. Now I'm seriously wondering whether or not I should have. I walked up to the host, and he subsequently stared at me for a few seconds as if it was my place to introduce myself. Needless to say we eventually found our seats. Fortunately we were on vacation, so we were relaxed, and not in a hurry to be done with our meal. That having been said, we proceeded to wait for over 20 minutes before anyone gave us menus, then another 30 minutes before anyone decided to take our order, then we patiently waited for our food to come out. Unfortunately they did not even ask us whether we wanted anything to drink, so it took us nearly an hour before we even got anything to drink. Evidently they like to save their best service for the tourists. Honestly, I did not know that Barcelona was such a friendly place! When the food finally came out, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Though, waiting over an hour and a half for anything tends to do just that. Overall, I would say that the atmosphere is nice, but that is where the quality starts to go downhill. If you are looking for a nice relaxing meal, I'm sure that there are many excellent places in Barcelona that would be happy to take your Euro, if you are very, very patient, this can be one of them:)
