⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ájtte Museum A truly fascinating and well-organized museum! The exhibitions offer deep insight into Sámi history, culture, and the natural environment of Sápmi. Beautifully curated and easy to follow – highly recommended for anyone interested in the North and its heritage.

Very interesting museum, which teaches a lot about the history of the Samipeople, their art and culture. Nature and animals of the north are explained very competent too.

Super museum - for all ages. Even if you are not a museum lover, it's a great way to fill time.

Fantastic museum Well laid out and interpreted. Loads for kids to do and a fly though 3D experience of Lapponia that was breathtaking. A pity the cafe was closed and there was no coffee BUT there was a great Grill House around the corner.

We were there because I'm very interested in the samí-culture. The exhibition was really interesting. You can borrow some informations in a handbook in Swedish, english and also in German. Was really great!

Very interesting and informative! Make sure to grab an English pamphlet by the entrance for translations on the exhibits. A good museum on an amazing people. Lockers available. Give yourself at least 2 hours to see entire musuem.

Very good museum, my daughter who is currently writing her masters on history/museum learned something about how the Swedish state still suppress the Sami culture, by not giving credit to the Sami people who assisted on expeditions.

It is an excellent museum! Not much of the text is in english but there is an audioguide and the entrance was only 90kr. The displays are vivid and interactive, and it takes about an hour or 90 minutes to cover. Recommend!

Yelp
Simple but nice and fast place for lunch, perfect when travelling thru Jokkmokk to get a quick meal before heading on. Located just next to the Museum, free parking outside on the street. For the classic "dagens lunch" or daily lunch, coffee is always included and food is served buffé style. Been here twice when travelling thru Jokkmokk.. They seem to serve another menu on evenings, probably with more Sami influences but so far I haven't been around during night to test it out. Good quality for a fair price! - will be back when in Jokkmokk...!
