AK EFE HOTEL / EDIRNE

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Efe Hotel. The location is great, right in the heart of Edirne. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and all the bed and bath linens were very clean, so who cares if the carpet is a bit worn. Our room - 103 - is probably the largest in the hotel, and had lovely furnishings - a sofa, two easy chairs, a large coffee table, and dresser,  in addition to the wardrobe. We saw other double rooms in the hotel that were perfectly functional though smaller.  The buffet breakfast which is included in the price was fresh and fine. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, and speak way more English than we speak Turkish. The Wi-Fi signal was good, and the heat and hot water were fine. The only negative comment would be that there was the odor of cigarettes in the room. We suggest to all hotels that they offer non-smoking rooms. We would definitely come back and stay again.

As most of the hotels in Edirne it is located in a narrow street parallel to the major pedestrian shopping street. Difficult to get it if you drive, unless you have a GPS. The staff will help you to a free parking. Ideal position as it is at a walking distance from the markets, the mosques and the major attractions of this very interesting city. It is a small hotel, with a few stories and no elevator. The lobby, the stairs and the room are cleen and tastefully done, although a touch overstuffed with memorabilia for my taste. The rooms are nice, well appointed and quiet, with double panel window. Good and well maintained bathroom. The desk staff was great and very helpful whereas that of the restaurant, to be avoided, was ineffective and poorly trained and managed. The quality of the breakfast was good but the location, a room downstairswhich serves as a pub at night, badly needs some recarpeting and renovation. All together a very good hotel and value.

A good hotel option in Edirne||||- Location: Very good. A very short walk to the city center, the markets and the major attractions.||- Atmosphere: Pleasant.||- Decoration: The furniture and decoration were dated, but comfortable.||- Room: It was of a medium size, clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom was small, but clean. ||- Service: The staff were friendly and helpful. The receptionist speaks English. It’s an important thing because is difficult to meet locals that speak English. ||- Elevator: No.||- Parking: Close to the hotel and free of charge.||||There are some restaurants within walking distance which are of a fair standard.||||- Would I stay there again?: Yes.

This hotel is directly located at the pedestrian zone of the historical part of Edirne. Perfect for a city trip with good breakfast and lovely staff. The rooms are in need of renovation, but clean. It was our second visit and we felt quite comfortable like the first time.

If you are not keen on luxury and if you like to be close to the city center this hotel is just for you. Cosy place with nice rooms and warm atmosphere. Cleanliness is good. Personnel is warm, friendly and helpful. And the breakfast; it was very good. You don't expect this for a small hotel.

Efe hotel is located in the heart center of Edirne, very closed to best attractions in Edirne. It's within walking distance to Selimiye Mosque, Eski Camii, Salaclar Caddesi, Tunca and Mehric River, etc. If you want to walk a little bit further, Karaagac is also not too far. I did reservation by email only and without deposit payment. It's an old hotel, that's what I thought when I came to my room for the first time. The furniture is with old style. The carpet looks like very old and not be changed for a long time. But, the room is clean, staffs are informative, breakfast is good. And the most important thing, some of their staffs speak English fluently. It will be very helpfull since Edirne is not really famous as tourist destination, and it's quite hard to hear people speak English. In my two days visit in Edirne, I think that I'm the only international tourist in this hotel. Or at least, the only tourist who speak English,

We stayed one night in the Efe Hotel and found the staff helpful, the room spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is included in the room price and was a standard buffet affair. The hotel is within a few minutes walk of Selimiye Mosque,the covered bazaar,the very helpful tourist office and the centre of this quiet and relaxing town.
