The room itself was great and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing and, at times, very strange.
We arrived early on a Friday, and since our room wasn’t ready yet (which was understandable), the front desk took our phone number and said they would text us as soon as it became available. We went out and returned at 4:00 p.m., the official check-in time, only to be told the room was still being cleaned and would be ready shortly. We waited in the lobby until about 4:40 p.m., then checked again. At that point, we were told it still wasn’t ready, but they would “take the hit” and give us someone else’s room — which was a confusing and concerning thing to hear.
Although the room itself was very nice, we had requested a cot at the time of booking and it was not in the room when we arrived. After calling the front desk, the cot was delivered about five hours later — without pillows or blankets. We called again to request bedding, but nothing was brought up. Around 11:45 p.m., we were startled awake by someone knocking and attempting to enter our room with a key. It turned out to be housekeeping delivering pillows — still no blanket. Had we not engaged the deadbolt, they would have entered the room while we were sleeping.
We requested blankets again the following day and never received them.
On checkout day, about an hour before our scheduled checkout time, someone attempted to enter our room again — this time without even knocking. It was a staff member asking if we were checking out. We still had an hour left, so it was unclear why they were trying to enter the room at all, especially without knocking first.
Overall, while the room and location were excellent, the repeated attempts to enter our room and the lack of follow-through on basic requests made for a very uncomfortable stay. For a property at this price point, we expected far better service. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.
