Akademie Street Boutique Hotel came highly recommended by a friend and they couldn't have been more correct! What an amazing gem tucked two streets away from Franschhoek's main road. The hotel is peaceful, beautifully decorated and just superb on every level. From the moment we arrived it felt like a home away from home. The staff are simply put: incredible. Our every whim was catered to and they went out of their way to ensure we were having the best stay possible. Our room was large, comfortable and really quiet (despite being next to the pool). Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options. Evening Aperativos in the green room were fantastic. I honestly can't fault a single thing about this hotel. Declan and his team are the very definition of hospitality. We will 100% be back.

This truly was one of the best hotel experiences we have had and would highly recommend to both couples and families. |The rooms were really nice, clean and spacious with a great vibe. We had a wood fired hot tub in the balcony that was so nice. The team heated it up for us and we loved it. The breakfast selection was amazing, even for vegetarians.|The hotel is in a good location, a few mins walk from the main street. The ambience, decor and privacy of the hotel is great. The team are amazing and take good care of you. We had to leave at 4am and they prepared us coffee and breakfast to go and helped with our bags.|The heated pool and jacuzzi were sublime, we coud have been in there for hours.|Overall a great experience of travellers who want to relax and spend a good part of their day in the hotel. We will surely be back!|Its definitely one of the more expensive hotels in Franschheok but well worth it.

This was genuinely one of the best places we’ve had stayed and we have travelled a significant amount. The hotel manager and staff were exceptional and truly made you feel so at home. I was even given the recipe for their granola, which was exceptional, in fact everything at breakfast was exceptional. The rooms were ridiculously charming. We will be going back without fail, we wished we had stayed longer than our 3 nights!||The perfect base to explore the vineyards, we loved the tuk tuks arranged by the hotel, they helped us with everything we needed. If we could give 6*s we would!||The pool was so peaceful and the town is walking distance for dinner options. I’m not sure there are enough words to describe how incredible it is, in a beautiful stylish subtle charming way. OUTSTANDING!!

We had an incredible start to our African holiday at Akademie Street Boutique Hotel. All of the staff were incredible, anticipating every need without being intrusive. Their attention to detail was impeccable, and their smiles were infectious. It’s clear that the staff all take pride in delivering a true 5 star product. ||Our room was very well stocked with all necessities and luxuries, and the Hotel’s designers did a beautiful job of curating African pieces throughout. One thing we especially appreciated was the shower pressure which was great and not a trickle. To top it off, there was a guest pianist on our last night performing in the Orangerie which was a beautiful way to enjoy a sunset G&T. We truly felt at home, and left incredibly relaxed and in love with Franschhoek and the Akademie Boutique Hotel.

Akademie Street Hotel is one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed in Southern Africa and I’ve been travelling to the region for over 20 years. It’s in a great position on a quiet street but within a very short walk of all Franschhoek’s shops and restaurants. Declan and his team are outstanding, absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are delicious and the orangerie made a great setting for evening drinks. It’s a truly delightful spot.

Staying here has truly been the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Everything feels so carefully thought out, every single detail is perfect, from the warm welcome, the planning and design of the room, the shared spaces, both indoors and outdoors! The communal areas, both inside and outside, are wonderful. The breakfast and the afternoon cocktails wire wonderful. And the owner sndcthe staff are kind in a way that feels genuinely heartfelt. This is a true gem!

Wow where to begin. This hotel was one of the best we stayed in during our honeymoon. Declan, babs and all of the team couldn’t have done any more for us, they went out of there way to make our experience what it was. The rooms are amazing, every detail has been thought about, and the breakfasts were incredible. We cannot recommend people stay here enough if you want to treat yourselves:)

Akademie Street Boutique Hotel in Franschhoek||During our safari trip to Africa we had the good fortune to spend a few days in the Cape Winelands region of South Africa near CapeTown. We stayed at THE PERFECT hotel….. Akademie Street Boutique Hotel in Franschhoek and absolutely loved it!! This gem is just a couple short blocks from the quaint main street shopping & dining area in this vibrant little town in the heart of wine country! |We had a luxurious suite with an extra- length king bed draped in high quality linens with the most comfy bedding. Our room had a spacious bedroom and living room area and also featured a private terrace with wood fired hot tub! The well furnished, large marble bathroom features heated floors & towel racks, plus every amenity one could ask for. This unique boutique hotel features 9 suites in 4 buildings, each with their own private entrances. This luxurious well appointed property is uniquely furnished with a blend of antiques, fine art and comfortable conversation areas in the main building, with a scrumptious made to order breakfast served either poolside in the gardens, or in the charming orangerie. The small complex features a wonderful pool and jacuzzi surrounded by lush gardens. Once you step inside the door at Akademie Street Boutique Hotel you are met by a friendly professional staff, offering the best services to meet your needs and desires. The discreet staff can arrange everything from dining recommendations and reservations to wine tours to historic information on the region. |What we loved most about this property was how comfortable, quiet and peaceful it was, and how close it was in proximity to everything we wanted to do in the Winelands region. We would start our day off with a delicious gourmet breakfast in the gardens, and then head out to see the sites. We toured amazing wineries in the Franschhoek area, as well as taking a day trip through the nearby beautiful wine country of Stellenbosch. We would return to the Akademie Street Boutique Hotel usually in late afternoon, then take a swim, enjoy poolside cocktails, and then walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner! We can’t say enough great things about this perfect hotel! When you’re planning your visit to CapeTown, save a few days for the Cape Winelands and give yourself a treat by staying at the Academy Street Boutique Hotel. Make your reservations early as it’s a very popular spot! |We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!
