Stayed for 2 nights with our granddaughter. Everything was so nice. The room was ni e and hade some space even if there was a cot as well. It felt clean och fresh. We hade our early dinner there once and it was so nice and plenty! Got some extra bread fore our granddaughter at no extra cost. That doesn’t happen at all hotells. Even got free cheese fore her.|I can really recommend this place when in Uppsala.|And the staff was amazing

This is a small, quiet and convenient hotel, with a history. My room had a beautiful view on the Uppsala cathedral. The room furnishing is simple but convenient, and the bed was very comfortable. A small suggestion for improvement: I would advise the management to provide better towels, because the current ones were old and rather thin.|Some rooms have a "historical bonus": they provide information about a Swedish person, such as Nobel Prize winners, in the form of a poster and additional decoration in the room. Nice idea.|The breakfast is nice with sufficient options of all sorts of food.|The hotel staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. I would particularly mention Ms. Linnea. |The location of the hotel is excellent: less than 10 minutes walk to the university campus "English Gardens", the citadel, the botanic gardens, and less than 5 minutes walk to the cathedral. The train station and city center is also at a short walking distance. |I recommend this hotel and will be glad to stay there again if I return to Uppsala.

A basic hotel with B&B-feeling. Pet friendly, which awards it an extra star (as usual) and the dedicated rooms weren't a disgrace either. Breakfast buffet selection smaller than average but still good. The scrambles were among the best I've had - ever! Location is perfect, just by the cathedral and other sights, such as the castle and botanical gardens. A little minus for the front desk that wasn't 24hrs. The room we stayed in was a "superior" but felt like standard double in comparison. No coffee maker or kettle in the room but complimentary hot drinks were available in the restaurant during their opening hours. Also, if you are a light sleeper: be aware that bells chime, toll and ring every 15 minutes around this part of town. Not the hotel's fault but just f.y.i. if that's a problem for you. All in all, this is a cute and calm hotel with OK value for money. I'd stay here again sometime if I'm in town for business (for pleasure - I'd look up something else, I think). They are soon opening a selection of suites that might be interesting to check out.

Spotlessly clean, great location, rooms are rather compact so if you have mobility issues it could be a problem, best to enquire with reception before booking. Excellent breakfast buffet. Close to the cathedral but be warned the bells ring for 3 minutes solid at 6am so if you want to sleep late wear some earplugs!

The hotel staff bent over backwards to accommodate my mistake I made in not booking an additional night. I had left for a day trip the day I was supposed to check out, but I thought I was staying for another night. After a round of emails, even when they were booked, they packed my things from the room, and booked me in with a hotel nearby. This was above a level of service I’d ever have expected. They could have said “good luck find another place to stay!” Or “you must come back immediately to retrieve your things” both would have been the level of service I’d expect from a mistake that was my own. I was just… wildly impressed how accommodating they were and how patient. They were really kind on the phone, and even made *me* feel better. Truly outstanding service. Plus, the rooms were amazing and cozy, heated bathroom floors, excellent view of the city from many places, and a delicious breakfast. Definitely highly recommend!

We are 2 adults over 65 who were in Uppsala for the start of a 3 week family history research visit to Sweden. We found this hotel to be overall one of the best we stayed at. The room was on the small side but very clean and neat. We had a good view out toward the cathedral. We were in walking distance of all of the central city. Breakfast was among the best we found in Sweden, and the coffee machine was definitely the best! So many choices, all good. We found nothing like it anywhere in Sweden, even in much more expensive hotels. Service was good. Our only minor negative was the small size of the bathroom, the shower had doors that folded inward to make more room when the shower was not in use,. Also, it was quite hot when we visited, and the lack of AC made it hard to sleep-- we needed to pull curtains to block out the midsummer light at midnight!
