Akar Cafe

Beautiful quiet Bali street, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was absolutely delightful and presented nicely! Great flavours. Can't remember when I last had such a yummy brownie! Oh, almost forgot - it's all vegetarian and vegan!!

This may have been the most delicious breakfast I have ever had! Definitely in my top 5. Service was fairly quick and the coffee was good too. We had a super cute table out back looking over a creek, so the ambiance was nice as well. Seriously, if you are looking for a sweet breakfast, go order the banana pancakes with lychee and coconut ice cream. You will not be disappointed!!!

We had to go back to Akar cafe the next day for breakfast, that’s how good the food was! We ate delicious omelette, avocado on toast, muesli bowl and the BEST pancakes ever with mango ice cream. Service was super friendly too, highly recommend visiting if passing by Lovina!

Highly recommend the gf pancakes with berry compote!! They prepare the regular and gf pancakes/waffles on the same surface. Since I’m pretty sensitive to cross-contamination, I chose the pancakes and asked them to clean the griddle. Delicious falafel too! Pan-fried in new oil so it’s celiac-safe.

An absolute treat. The menu is amazing, absolutely spoilt for choice. The food was delicious, the falafel wrap was perfect. The coconut and mango lychee ice cream was dreamy. An absolute must visit for everyone in Lovina.

Great little place for vegetarian/ vegan options. The samosa were great and the Balinese red rice stir fry was delightful.

Came here for lunch two days in a row :) Had the falafel plate and a baguette which were both really good, stand out was the rich chocolate ice cream though, insanely good. Staff were welcoming and loved the seating outside by the river

Some of the best chocolate ice cream and brownies I've ever had. Tasty healthy meals. Lovely back area overlooking the river too.
