This is far from the crowd and should not be mistaken for an hotel. I have been here for four days and am finding it hard to leave. The chalets are varied but all have hot showers and toilets (some squat, some western), the beds are OK but complaints are not unjustified (the facilities are not in their first flush of youth, but are clean). Mosquito nets (of dubious effectiveness) are in place but as yet un-necessary and there don't seem to be any unsavoury bugs creeping about. The restaurant has a stunning view and is of a glorious bamboo construction; the food is ample and tasty while a campfire will keep you warm as the evening cools. Water, birds and frogs are the only noises at night. The integrated village scene is low key, though you will be persuaded to buy small items by the local ladies. There seem to be quite few travelers making their way here so, despite its end of the road location, it is quite sociable.
