Very cool little store. He sells Japanese Pokemon cards for market (except 1) super honest and fair store owner. Lots of selection on other goods as well. Stickers galore! He gave us free stickers w purchase. Such a nice man! We’d worth checking out this store!

Nice store....but one of the guys behind the counter drop at least 20 f bombs within the 8min I was there..should have better customer service..you want people to purchase then how about wait until they leave to unload your thoughts or maybe do them quietly...the other gentleman stood up when I walk in and was very respectful of customer presence.

I visited the store as tourist from California and it was underwhelming. They're keeping up with trends with current and popular anime titles, but their merchandise selection and inventory are lacking. Their shelves are somewhat looks empty to me. I was hoping for art books, but they only have few Japanese language Manga and Dojinshis. Also certain low price merchandises are questionable. It would be nice if they can setup franchise with ANIMATE store chain in Japan.

Excellent hole in the wall spot for anime merch in Honolulu!! I was able to find exports that I can't find back home in texas for a great price. Definitely recommend checking it out if you are in Honolulu!!!!

Google
They have rare anime goods and doujinshi that you can't get anywhere else in the United States. It's expensive but worth the price. I didn't buy anything but it was still cool to come and look around.

Seriously great little niche store packed to the BRIM with goods. Owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you like niche things and series other than what is mainstream, this is the zone! They also have a variety of mainstream things too

Admittedly, you can find some interesting imported goods here, but they are WAY overpriced. For example, in this pic, you can see that they sell an Asuka cushion cover which is originally ~2000 yen (~15 dollars) at 65 dollars. This is insane. I mean, I know the living expense at Honolulu is high, and they have the freedom to set the price as they want, but a more than fourfold increase? No thanks. P.S. the figurines here are mostly Keihin and Ichiban Kuji. If you are looking for something serious like pf, don't go.

Up in the top left hand corner of the Mccully Shopping Center is the most eccentrically adorable anime shop on Oahu. The owner and cashier were very friendly and offered to help me find merchandise of any anime I mentioned. There are also tons of sales, figmas and artwork to keep you distracted while on waitlists for the restaurants in the area. I got a stamp card for every $10 spent and they gave me 2 free packs of tissue with KNY characters on them. This is a very nice shop and I definitely will be back soon!

Yelp
I've always wanted to visit this anime store and finally did today because I saw their Instagram list something I wanted. They recently added Hatsune Miku x Cinnamoroll merch and I wanted the Cinnamoroll plushie. I compared the store's price of $45.99 to sites online and it was way cheaper to buy at Akihabara Tokyo than online surprisingly! Must've been because it's mostly resellers who have this in stock instead of official stores. The server was good and we even got to choose from a bin of free things with our purchase. We got a cute onigiri sticker but the bin had a huge variety of things to choose from. Something I noticed was that this store looks way bigger in person than it does from photos online. I thought it would be tiny but there's a decent amount of space and variety to choose from. They definitely sell the kind of merchandise I like compared to other anime stores. The merch here reminds me of the kinds of things you would find at an anime convention like KawaiiKon. I'm very happy with my experience and will definitely come back soon because I saw other merch I want to get!

Yelp
Selection of things were a lot of stickers and little Knick knacks. Granted majority of the things that were there aren't things you'll see available in other shops. Pricing was $$.

Yelp
I kept seeing this place pop up in the the Hawaii pop culture social media groups and since I end up at McCully Shopping Center pretty often, I stopped in. It's located on the second floor of the mall next to the ramen shop and Test Kitchen. It's a small location but packed with bright and colorful merchandise. The store is well organized and kept super clean with most items in plastic bags. Upon entry, the cashier is to the left with high priced statues and other goods behind the counter or in display cases. To the right is long shelving with toys, action figures, statues, costumes, and cosplay items. This is a niche shop that focuses on all things Japanese anime. While I have watched a few, I have to admit I didn't recognize many of the characters in the store. That won't detract from how fun this place is for a look. If you're an anime fan though, this is a must-visit shop.

Yelp
Guy just watched me like if i didnt belong, not asking if i needed help. Additionally everything was x3 retail price.

Yelp
Considering there are very few shops (at least, with what I'm aware of) that specialize in selling anime merchandise, I found it amazing that another anime goods shop had opened up at the McCully Shopping Center. This store just opened up in December 2021. Akihabara Tokyo is located on the second floor of the shopping center and offers a pretty good variety of anime figures, body pillow covers, posters, and more! Once you purchase an item, you are given a single package of tissue with an anime design, and for every $10 you spend, you'll receive a stamp on their Point Member Card.

Yelp
As big of a weeb I am, I agree with the reviewer who stated the prices are basically criminal here. I've seen keychains priced at $46. What?!! They retail at approximately $6. On the positive side, they run ichiban kuji, have 2 gacha machines, and occasionally run sales. At least there is free parking available since it is at McCully Shopping center.

Yelp
Our kid is completely obsessed with anime, especially characters in Genshen Impact. As one of the only anime stores we could find (which is weird given Honolulu has an anime convention!), we still lucked out really well with this place. They had a good selection of all the various anime genres in different formats like stickers, figurines, keychains, etc. The owners/store employees were really sweet to our little one so much so she left their store as happy as a kid in a candy shop!

Yelp
I found out about them via Instagram when they were posting merch for the JJK:0 film. Initially, I wanted to check them out and see what was in store. The shop is a little smaller in comparison with similar shops, however, they did not disappoint with the items they have in-stock. There was a lot of variety that I'm pretty sure there was something for every anime, gamer related fans, even for collectors. What they have that other similar shops don't have are the official comics and magazines straight from Japan. Which is like a collectors item in my eyes. Even though the shop is small, they categorize their shelves by anime/game title, which is awesome for someone who gets overwhelmed and trying to search for a specific character or anime. Starting at the front of the store with the current and popular animes today like Demon Slayer & Attack on Titan. I also like the fact they provide you with a member point card that you can use whenever you shop at the store. 1 stamp when you buy any product of $10.

Yelp
They have a decent selection of anime figures and merchandise, but their prices are criminal I've never seen items and figures scalped this high. Prize figures that originally go for 20 bucks are going for 60+ here. Don't waste your money here. Not to mention the staff was very.. odd. It seems like it's run by some guy and his mom, neither of which are very helpful and kept asking if I was done yet despite being in the store for a grand total of 15 minutes.

Yelp
We visited Akihabara Tokyo over the Christmas New Year's holiday. The kids loved the store and the guys there were very helpful in answering any questions. I am sure we will visit again on the next visit to Oahu. Thank you.

Yelp
Cool store and chill staff. They have mystery bags that give you a lot more than you initially spend!!
