Really nice place to stay! Old style building was perfectly furnished, we were given towel, toilet paper, and bed came dressed with bedsheets. Perfect stay, cannot fault them in anyway! Me and my friend stayed in a private 2 bed room. |Room 9||Staff is friendly and there to help. Booked through hostel world, all good according to price. |No complaints from me!

I cycled to Akko and stayed at the Akko Gate Hostel. They were extremely friendly and accommodating, putting me on a lower floor so I could carry my bike and gear easier to my room. It was very comfortable, and I slept well with the sounds of the old city in the background. Great experience! My room was simple but very clean and everything worked. Highly recommended.

Location. Location. Location. That is the best feature of the hostel located on the noisy main Akko thoroughfare. Meet Walid, Walid, Walid and Chalid, your hosts and operators of the family-run accommodation.||||Rooms in this Ottoman-era building are large. Some have refrigerators and some have a bureau but ask for one away from the street if horse-drawn carriages of tourists, blaring Arabic disco music bother you. The room was clean but with an overpowering smell of air freshener and there were no top sheets between us and the blankets they provide. ||||The so-called communal kitchen was dirty and lacking coffee, sugar and milk. There is no common area for sitting but there are tables set up outside at the next door cafe which they also own and operate.||||W,W, W and H were friendly and helpful, especially, as noted, Walid senior, perhaps a little too friendly. But if you are looking for just a place to sleep and shower, use the wifi and park, then the Akko Hostel is a good choice.

We had Room #18 which was recently renovated and included a small refrigerator. We loved the balcony that had a nice view of the ancient city wall. The ac was cold, the shower had great hot water, and the AKKO Gate Hostel had the best towels we saw on our entire trip both in Israel and the week we spent in Bulgaria. We had an issue with our booking which the owner graciously worked to fix. This place is definitely worth the stay.

Acceptable plan B: if the other better rated hostel next door is full, you’ll find here a dorm room with six beds and a small bathroom. Contrary to other reviews we didn’t have any issues with cleanliness, wifi, bed sheets or hot water. Everything was decent and the people warm, but it’s more an old hotel than a standard social hostel: not much of an area to hang out and one has to negotiate to access to the kitchen. We liked Akko so much we decided to stay two nights here and had the dorm to ourselves.

This hostel is a hostel. Not a hotel. Not high standard. But prices are not that low, either.|If you need a bed and don’t really care about whether the room is clean it could be an option of Course. It is well located for sure. Offers free parking and wi-if. The staff was ok.|But... this is not enough!. Overpriced and not nice. A very old building which needs renovation urgently. Electric wires coming out of the wall. The toilet was broken. The floors dirty.... funny smell in the bathroom... the beds were not made with both upper and bottom sheets but we got only blankets at first. And so on!|Was like staying in a cheap hotel in Africa.

This is one of the only budget friendly options in Akko and it shows. Dorms were small and a bit crowded and there's no common area to hang out in which makes the stay a bit uncomfortable. There were also no lockers available and the reception where the room key was kept wasn't always staffed so virtually anyone would have been able to walk in and go though the luggage kept in the rooms. Other than that staff was nice though and the location was perfect on the edge of the old city so everything, including the beach, could be easily be reached by walking.

I went off to Akko for a few days, couldn't get into hostel I wanted but I really enjoyed my stay here. its well located in the Old city, perfect for wandering around and close to all the major sites. i found Moshe very helpful and provided suggestions for restaurants and the must see sights. the hostel is decorated in traditional fashion which I found very interesting. I stayed in the 6 bed dorm, as there was only 1 other person we were both very comfortable and had aircon. I think if it was full it would be not as ok, but if you have a group of friends then the dorm would be perfect There is free coffee and a lounge area downstairs where you can sit and talk or watch TV. The bathroom was basic but I had a comfortable and enjoying stay. Really good for budget travelers.
