As a star rated hotel I expected a bit more, the overall service is great but the decor are but dated. However, I still had a pleasant stay because the location is closer to music festivals and restaurants at decent price point.

The room and the service was good but keyboard to control the room temperature (aircon) was broken, so we have to call reception everytime to adjust it. The sauna was not working also. But overall all good.

Really amazing hotel located right across from Saline les Bains. The hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful even we struggled to communicate freely due to our lack of French fluency but some staffs spoke good enough English so it was absolutely not an issue! ||The rooms were super spacious and comfortable with a nice sit out (we had the garden facing room). Quality of sleep was absolutely amazing due to the very good sound proofing and excellent mattress/pillow. No complaints at all!! ||The only drawback, if at all, was the lack of eating options within the hotel. However, there’s 3-4 excellent restaurants along the beach and within a 3-4 minute walk. ||Really highly recommended hotel to stay if you’re visiting Reunion and want to just recharge your batteries!!

Lovely hotel and manager was super helpful.|We only spent one night after our flight was cancelled. The room are spacious and the bed very comfortable. We had a good night sleep and tried a very good breakfast. The view on the sea is beautiful. We will have to come back for a longer stay next time!

Really lovely hotel and staff. Very attentive staff including management- stopped by every day at breakfast for chat and check everything ok. Lovely infinity with amazing view. Pool always spotlessly clean. Beach a couple of minutes walk, very clean, hire kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel mask. Lots of places on beach for drinks and snacks. Hotel food excellent.

A very nice garden with a beautiful overflow pool with a breathtaking view of the sea. The atmosphere was cool, even if it was a bit too much like club med. The staff and the restaurant are not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. The restaurant menu was really poor and the dishes not really elaborate. The staff was not very helpful. In a 5 star hotel, the waiters are a bit more friendly and come to offer us snacks at the water's edge, or bring them to us if they don't come to order them. However, the spa staff seemed to be very welcoming and great. W e will try it in the future! Ps: we were not a guest of the hotel, so we can only judge the restaurant and the amenities of the hotel.

They really need to remove the 5 star rating. Overpriced, basic rooms which really are 3.5 star, pool and bar is nice, restaurant is basically a hall with poor service. Staff rude when questioned about their poor service and general manager dismissive. Restaurant manager had zero idea how to run a restaurant. Had high expectations and really looking forward to a nice experience but sadly has not been the situation. Better stay at LUX St Giles if you want a better experience.

Nice enough hotel with friendly staff, but nowhere near 5 star. Rooms were on small side but clean and tidy, most staff spoke very little English, and when your bear in mind this masquerades as a 5 star hotel it really isn't good enough. There's nothing you can say is poor about the hotel, but it reminded us of the 2 star Ibis chain in Europe ... it's just like a glorified Ibis.||Not knowing local prices we opted for half board, a BIG mistake. Breakfast was ok quantity was good, but I couldn't face anything cooked, just the usual Continental breakfast.||Now the evening meal was a different matter... at 45 euro's each it was it was tuna or chicken, and the following night, chicken or tuna, and that was it ! Salad, pasta etc was nice enough but the chicken was miniscule. There was no buffet and the menu so limited.||We complained at reception and asked to downgrade to B&B. A manager later found us by the pool and before we could say anything, apologised saying they were aware of the issues and a new menu was starting the following Monday. He said the chef would prepare us a special meal that night and offered a full refund ( for the evening meals) for the 4 days we spent at the hotel. We declined the meal and asked he provide proof of the refund by e-mail.||That night we had a really nice 2 course meal in a beach bar just in front of the hotel, water, several beers and a bottle of wine, food included half a lobster and giant prawns, .. total 70 euros as compared to the rubbish in the hotel at 90.||We left the next day, bumped into the manager as we were leaving and reminded him about the e-mail he promised to send.||About 2 weeks later I mailed him.||About 2 weeks after that I complained to the Travel Agent and in early November finally received the refund, although it was much less than the 90 Euros per night, plus drinks, they were charging... and still no mail from the manager.||||Just to position things on the food, my partner doesn't like fish and is a bit of a fussy eater , but I'll eat most things. ||I wouldn't go back here if they paid me !
