We stayed for 3 weeks and had a marvellous time. The hotel is wonderfully situated with stunning views of the bay at the front and the mountains behind. It’s just a few yards to the little beach and the water is so warm and clear and blue. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious with fresh local yogurt and honey. The restaurant provides lovely home cooked traditional Greek dishes. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We have been coming here for 10 years and we are so happy when we are here. We are already looking forward to returning and we will be bringing our grown-up children.

I had a very good time during my stay in Akrotainaritis, the room was clean and the view was the best in the area by far. The Hotel is run by a family, all of them very friendly in my experience. The food in the tavern had also this home vibe which I enjoy a lot and the fish were actually fresh in contrast with most places in tourist areas.

Gerolimenas is one of the most beautiful Seaside village of Laconia. This small village has a small natural port on a bay and only about 60 habitants but is very welcoming and tourist friendly equipped with a couple seaside hotels, Greek Taverna for drinks and excellent traditional Greek food and fresh seafood. The village is located at the southern tip of Mani peninsula in Peloponnese. We have stayed at Akrotainaritis with our kids twice and we plan on coming back. The hotel is run by an older couple (family owned) and they are just lovely people. No formalities, as soon as you arrive you get your keys and feel at home. The stone built hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking the bay with a little pebble beach right opposite for swimming and hotel lounge chairs with umbrellas on site. The stone built rooms, typical Mani construction, are very comfortable. The quadruple rooms have a loft with two individual beds on top and double beds at the bottom with efficient A/C unit. The TV is outdated and has no channels available but with such panoramic setting who would want to stay inside your room. The rooms have their own balconies with frontal or side sea view. The food is made fresh as you order and very tasty which you can enjoy sitting on water front tables with umbrellas on the pavement. You also have more than one choice to eat at other Tavernas next to hotel also waterfront. The entire city center is about 500 meters all on the water which makes this destination very exclusive and definitely off the beaten path. The one inconvenience, I experienced was the quality of the free internet. Was very sporadic and weak, but I assume it must be due to the it's remote location, but If you want a secluded place to relax on the Mediterranean Sea that doesn't cost a fortune, this is the place for you. I feel that a lot of the Greek Islands are over rated and extremely expensive. This place is rugged with a rocky landscape of wild beauty. Swimming in these waters is an adventure, the water is so clear you will be amazed at all the sea creatures around you. Worth a couple days if you are in the Peloponnese.

We spent two lovely days here touring this area and the stunning Manh Mani tower houses and stunning mountain drives. The Dirou Caves is an absolute must. We had two lovely meals in the bay and our host's were extremely friendly and welcoming. The lady also give Paddy some good mosquito repellent which was very welcoming. Our room was very clean, comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the cove. We would recommend this hotel|

We stayed in the Akrotainaritis Rooms for one night in August and were extremely sorry that we had to move on to the next part of our road trip of the Peloponnese. The Mani is completely unspoilt and Gerolimenas is just the most perfect seaside village - if you want busy then this is not the place for you!||Our spacious bedroom and shower room on the first floor, although simple, were clean, well supplied with a fridge, hairdrier, water and toiletries and had the most amazing wrap around balcony with both sea and mountain views. We could have spent hours just watching the goings on outside from the balcony but the sparkling warm sea called us for a swim. The quiet bay is literally just steps over the road.||We ate our delicious evening meal overlooking the sea, from the restaurant which owned by the lovely family who run the hotel - you can also eat inside should you wish. The cliffs around the bay are lit up at night adding to the wonderful atmosphere of this enchanting place.||Breakfast is supplied at an extra cost but it is very simple.||I live in hope that we will be able to return!

Best view in Gerolimenas! This is a family owned hotel which also has an excellent tavern. Try the fish and the house ouzo. Son’t miss the sunrise and the sunset from the balcony front. Not the most luxurious but modest and strongly recommended.

If you want to visit a part of the deep Mani that is utterly beautiful and unspoilt this is the place! Akrotainaritis is a small bed and breakfast hotel with two main blocks. It's simple and unfussy. The rooms are spotless with good beds and aircon though the bathrooms are basic. We had a glorious sea view (the water is very close) with a super balcony and it's great in the morning to watch the fishermen come in. The breakfast is simple but fresh and the restaurant is excellent for lunch and dinner, taken right by the water. There is a tiny strip of pebble beach here where you can launch yourself into the most beautiful water. There is a bigger pebble beach at the other end of the harbour. Spiros the owner and his sister are delightful hosts. If you want a base in the Mani that is simple and delightful this is it.

Characterful rooms above the restaurant. Old fashioned, clean, very well equipped with fridge, kettle, mugs, glasses and toiletries etc. All the rooms had a balcony and a mezzanine level with extra beds. Bathroom small and basic. ||Simple but lovely breakfast.||Stunning location right across the road from the beach where it was lovely to swim.||Super host.
