No doubt to select akshara guest house over thousand of hotels in udaipur. Location, cleanliness, hospitality, warmness everything is on top. Mr. Gokul is very helpful and treat us like family. If you are a solo travelers or in girls group then this hotel is best in udaipur. No tention for safety. Early check-in check-out they will arrange and not asked for a penny extra charges for any thing. After check out also they kept our luggage and this is all you need while travelling. Thanks for the everything guys. We will definitely visit again.

I have been on my current trip for almost two years and Akshara Guest House is one of the best places I've stayed at during this time.|The boss, Chandra Prakash (Chandu), could not have been more helpful, as were all of his staff. My room was excellent and had great views from the window. The WiFi and the hot water worked perfectly and the price of the room was very reasonable.|The cafe on the ground floor was good and inexpensive. The roof top restaurant was a little bit pricey but the the quality of the food and service, not to mention the incredible views both during the day and at night made it absolutely worthwhile.|I had originally meant to stay here for 5 days but left 10 days later. An absolutely great place and if I return to Udaipur in the future I know where I'll be staying.

Just go for it without any doubt. Really nice experience over there. Location is perfect, various tourist places at nearby location. It is just near gangour ghat and opposite of bagore ki haveli. Wonderful view from rooftop cafe. Great hospitality and very friendly behaviour.

Perfectly located right opposite Bagore ki Haveli at Gangaur Ghat, Akshara Guest House turned out to be the perfect choice to stay. The staff was very co-operative and hospitable, mr.Chandraprakash was a great host. The room was very clean and spacious. Although the hot water could have been more hot. We had the road facing room and just standing at window we could soak in the vibe of the hustle bustle. Without any doubt we had a very pleasant stay. Dont miss out the roof-top cafe Savage Garden which has a great view. But more importantly, must try the pies and banana cake at Cafe Edelweiss. Its a lovely combo of stay and food. We found this guest house on Trip advisor and after looking through most other places decided to book the room here for stay from 24-28 March for 4 nights.. I was very apprehensive about the place when we reached the guest house. The entrance is through cafe edelweiss the German bakery and then steep stairs to climb till second floor to the rooms..But once I saw the room I totally loved it as it was double bed room. Yes there is no mirror in the room nor cupboard but it has place to keep luggage.since there were two of us we were OK with it..The management has changed and since they r going through upgrade lots of things were not available.the roof top restaurant was closed due to this. First floor owners are staying who were very helpful and guided us very well. Rakesh who was managing the cafe and guest house was friendly and ensured we had pleasant stay. |Location is bang OPP bagore ki haveli and the gangaur ghat entrance nearby where you can enjoy evng air by lake side. Most of tourist spots are in 10 km range and Jagdish temple and city place can be covered by foot.. other issue was cars are not allowed inside as it's small narrow road. The place is good for ppl with budget and small group of friends or backpackers.. wifi is free and for breakfast you can get from cafe below but if you need other food you have to step out and see other restaurants. Not recommending for elderly ppl becoz of stairs. Also even though cafe closed by 9 pm so if you are late there is a bell outside and the boy comes to open the door. We did not have any trouble because of this at all. Good hotel in budget and location..Tip..Go for room 202 it has great view with balcony.

The hospitality, hotel infrastructure, the view and the feel was just top notch. I loved the cakes and the food I had here. Tea was perfectly flavoured and cooked. The staff is friendly and humbled. Plus the atmosphere around the hotel was just pure cultural bliss. I loved being here and I will definitely visit again. Would recommend everyone to visit and experience this hotel and restaurant.

The hotel is located at a very reachable distance to city palace, lake pichola and hathipole market. The rooms are very neat and clean. The service provided by them is very good. We got room no. 301 it has lake facing view of lake pichola. The open terrace is amazing.

We spent over a week staying at Akshara guesthouse and really enjoyed our time there. ||At one point there were a lot of road works outside our window so the staff moved us quickly and were very kind and helpful. ||There are different sized rooms for people with different budgets and the rooms are clean and tidy. ||The cafe downstairs and restaurant upstairs are both very good.||Despite there being a restaurant on the roof, it closes reasonably early, so you can still sleep comfortably.
