The last time I visited this place was over 25 years ago as in back in 2000 or so! It’s very nice and exceptionally clean. The staff are, for the most part, well trained and genuinely welcoming, especially the local team members! The animals appear well cared for, and there is a good balance of food outlets and on-site teams across the park. The food outlet prices are VERY affordable unlike the usual case for many zoos around the world (Copenhagen, Prague, US….etc) My only downside is the size. It can feel a little too spread out at times. In terms of suggestions: Fixed schedules for the train and shuttle golf carts would improve the experience as well as allowing booking the VIP club car for more than 90 minutes , and finally a wider variety of animals would be a welcome addition overall :) I would come here again!

There is a huge parking area where we could easily park the car and it s near the main entrance. We have to wait for sometime to get to the main counter to purchase our ticket as there were some families ahead of us. They wanted to charge us for a 3 yo child while in the official website it said children below 4 are free of charge, but eventually they allowed us to enter without buying a junior ticket. If you have Fazaa card you can get a discount on the tickets. We bought tickets with shuttle service and i highly recommend. The zoo is spacious, well organized and the animals appear to be well cared for. I especially liked the natural-style enclosures and the safari area, which makes the visit feel more authentic and educational. It’s a great place for families and children, with plenty of walking space and shaded areas. Some areas could benefit from more refreshment options and clearer signage, but overall it’s a wonderful destination and one of the best zoos in the UAE

Very well organized and clean. Tickets can be bought online but you would lose Fazza discount as you need to tell them you have it to get it! Nevertheless, you still can getvit by calling them and reserve the tickets with your name, pay once you get there. We took the zoo tour that lasted for more than an hour little bit. There is a Safari tour that lasts longer but we kept for another visit, inshaAllah ♡ The cart took us to all animal areas whereby we stopped, fed and took pictures. The staff are very polite and freindly. Very well informed and explained every thing, thank you Mr. Khamis Aleisaei for the informative tour you gave us. Winter time and early mornings are best times to visit as you get to see most of the huge nimber if animales, plus you will enjoy the long walks with the breeze. The sevounire shope is full of beautiful, catchy things to buy so have some time to visit it👌 #higly_recommended 👍🏻

Spent a good half a day here. Enclosures are clean and animals seem enriched. We couldn't see some of the animals which for me is a good sign that the animals have plenty of space/areas to retreat. I enjoyed the lemur experience; the carer was friendly and knowledgeable. If you're really keen, the safari was worth the extra cost. There are some small cafes and plenty of shaded seating areas located around the zoo. Zoo is widely spaced but is easily walkable.

I had a wonderful and unforgettable experience at Al Ain Zoo. From the moment I entered, I was impressed by how clean, spacious, and beautifully designed the entire place is. The architecture and pathways give a warm, natural, and welcoming feeling, making the visit enjoyable from start to finish. The organization inside the zoo is excellent — everything is clearly marked, easy to navigate, and perfectly arranged for families, children, and all visitors. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to guide you with a smile. The animal areas were the highlight of the visit. There is a wide variety of animals, each living in well-maintained and carefully designed habitats. You can truly feel the effort put into creating a safe and natural environment for them. Watching the animals up close was both exciting and educational, and every section had its own charm and beauty. What makes Al Ain Zoo special is how peaceful and well-managed the whole experience is. There are rest areas, shaded spots, clean facilities, and plenty of places to stop, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. Everything felt smooth, organized, and family-friendly. At the end of the tour, the Safari Store was a perfect finishing touch. It offers a variety of unique souvenirs, gifts, and safari-themed items that help you take a piece of the adventure home with you. A truly beautiful place that I highly recommend to everyone — families, tourists, and anyone who loves nature, animals, and well-organized attractions. I would definitely visit again!

Al Ain Zoo is a fantastic and unique place for families. It’s more than just a zoo—it's a beautiful, well-designed space to enjoy nature. Getting around is easy: Start from the parking lot. You can walk or take the shuttle (with fees), which stops at 4 key points if you prefer less walking. The highlight is the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre!!! It's amazing! The interactive exhibits are fun and educational for everyone, the Architectural design and interior design as well. Overall the zoo is a perfectly managed, lively zoo with great activities. It's a special mix of entertainment and learning for all ages. Highly recommended!

The last time we visited this place was over 10 years ago, and there have definitely been some improvements since then. The place looks better and more organized compared to before. They now offer shuttle services, both open-air and air-conditioned, though extra fees apply. There is also a train service inside, but it wasn’t clear whether it’s free or paid, as we didn’t use it. Buying tickets online is cheaper than purchasing at the counters. There is ample parking space, and several eateries inside the premises, which is convenient. Prayer rooms are available right after the entrance, which is a big plus. Toilets are available, but unfortunately many visitors do not maintain cleanliness, making them quite dirty — people really need to be more responsible. However, the overall experience was disappointing. During our visit, many animals were not visible at all, such as tigers, caracals, elephants, lions, and others. We are not sure where they were, but they simply weren’t seen. Some enclosures had only one animal, which felt quite sad and lonely. Unlike many zoos we’ve visited in other countries, no animal feeding is allowed, which made the experience less engaging. In other zoos, animals tend to be more active, and kids usually enjoy the interaction much more. Unfortunately, our kids didn’t enjoy this place much. Although the place is very large, it felt boring, with limited animal variety and low activity. Overall, some improvements are noticeable, but it still falls short in terms of animal visibility, engagement, and overall enjoyment, especially for children.

A Beautiful Day & Unforgettable Animal Encounters We had a truly wonderful day at Al Ain Zoo and Safari with beautiful animal encounters and memorable moments. The environment is peaceful, well-maintained, and the experience of being so close to the animals was genuinely special. We did experience some initial misinformation regarding the lemurs and their feeding schedule, which was a bit disappointing at first. However, this was handled in the most professional and caring way possible. I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Abdula from the Happiness Center, as well as Mr. Omar and Mr. Youssef, the Deputy Managers, who were extremely helpful, attentive, and proactive in finding a solution and making sure we were able to see these gorgeous animals. Their kindness and dedication truly made a difference. A very special thank you as well to Mr. Shrinivas, the lemur trainer, who was exceptionally kind, patient, and welcoming. His passion and care made the experience with the lemurs unforgettable and truly magical. Despite the initial issue, the way the team handled the situation turned our visit into a beautiful and memorable experience. We truly appreciate the professionalism, warmth, and effort of the staff, and we will definitely cherish this day. Highly recommended for anyone who loves animals and meaningful experiences.
