🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars for food. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 stars for service. We have always loved coming to Al Amar. This is probably our seventh time here over the years. The last time we came, unfortunately, it was closed, so we had to go to the nearby one along the main road, which is not as good as this outlet. Al Amar serves a wide range of Lebanese food ranging from meats, to plates, to pizzas. Our go-to order would include hummus, shawarma, lamb chops, pizza for the young ones and kunafa. The hummus is heavenly. Its creamy and slightly oily composition is served well together with the four pieces of bread that comes together with it. Not enough bread? No worries at all. Simply get another basket of four pieces for RM5. The meats here are generally good. They come in decent portions and with some sides and vegetables. I went for the lamb cutlets this time. They were slightly burnt, but the charred taste was good. To end the meal, go for the kunafa cheese. The service here is hit and miss. The possibly middle eastern bosses do not really acknowledge the customers here. There was also an aunty who was fiddling with her phone. Thankfully, we had a lady and male server, who were generally more friendly and conversant.

Visited this family friendly restaurant with my wife and 18mth old kid. Service staff and chefs were extremely friendly and the food was excellent; our first Lebanese cuisine meal. Chef and staff even interacted with our kid and he loves them! We recommend the mint tea, lamb biryani, lamb cutlets and the grilled cheese dessert.

Solid food offerings though a bit more expensive since you're in a high-end mall. Staff were great, very helpful. The ful moudammas was terrible and I my favorite of the dishes. So hearty and rich. The rehab betenjan was similar to the baba ganoush we had the night before, but more savory. The mixed grill offered a range of tender, well seasoned meats. The coffee was very, very strong.

Most food was not fresh and seemed to be microwaved to heat and serve. Worst Muhammara ever. Had to return it and they still charged for it. The beans were also from the fridge and reheated. There was no consideration they are serving from the fridge. Decent falafels however. Overall very expensive. You're paying for the location when you can eat for 1/4th the price at better restaurants just 100 meters up from Pavilion on Bukit Bintang. Do yourself a favour, just walk up a little bit to fresher, better and cheaper food.

First experience with Lebanese cuisine and it was excellent. Especially loved the chicken shawarma which was delicious with quite a big portion. The white sauce (tahini?) that came with it was so delicious. Also tried the chicken mandy rice and lamb kofta. It was quite a lot of food for 2 people. Almost all other tables had to takeaway food so their portions are generous. Service was good, server seated us quickly. Atmosphere and ambience was nice for dinner. The server seems to always have an eye on guests to help with extra items, takeaway boxes or the bill unlike some restaurants where they avoid making eye contact. Very efficient service.

Waste of money. We ordered shawarma but we got something very bad. No taste nothing and I think that roti used for that was very old not cooked properly. Too tight and no sauce inside that and chicken was very hard 😫 and finally we got some garbage instead of shawarma.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎0.1 for 100 marks. Please make ur customer happy and satisfied. Thank you

This place was incredibly amazing. The food was to die for. We first started it off with some humus - omg this was the best humus we have ever experienced. The humus was served warm and it was recommended to eat it before it gets too cold. The main dish was amazing, especially my lamb shoulder dish with rice. After we finished eating, the manager came out with our server and told us that the server wants to thank us and would like to offer us some tea or dessert. We thought that was so kind of them to do so. We decided to get some dessert and it was more than delicious. The service was beyond attentive and friendly. Also, if you smoke you can choose to sit in a “smoking area”. It was such a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Almost didn't make it here because of other reviews. Let me tell you, this place brought me back to my last visit to Bairut! Everything was spot on and, for what we got, the prices were reasonable. Although we only have a week in KL, we're already planning a second trip here!

Yelp
The ambience of this place is definitely nice. Food was okay, didn't expect much as we know Lebanese food wasn't really our thing. I can say that almost everything we ordered, like the beef shawarma, hummus, chicken liver are all sour-ish except for the lamb kafta, which is the kebab, and they were actually really good. If you're not into sour-ish cuisine, definitely not a place for you. Service was poor. Had to order several times as they servers tend to forget our orders, which was rather annoying. They were polite tho.

Yelp
I was invited by my friend to come over for a late dinner with his god-mom, and I did not know that time that his god-mom is actually the wife of the head chef of Al-Amar. Our dinner started only around 10 pm and I have actually gotten to see another side of Pavilion 6th floor that I have not previously seen. By that time, most of the shops on the same floor were already closed, but Al-Amar seems to be just about to come to life! You will smell very strong shisha smoke from inside the Lebanese restaurant and also live bands of Middle Eastern music - it was a weekend! We got ushered in there and across the dining area to the balcony of the restaurant. It's very cozy space out there as it gets quite breezy at night. Across the dining area you would see the customers and also live band singer happily singing songs and dancing. And yes, they even have belly dance performer there! It was like a whole new place in Pavilion that I have not seen before! We only ordered some drinks for ourselves and then foods were being served. Big plates of foods including kebbeh-s, kafta-s, salads and so much more were being brought to our table and the table was literally fully filled with so many different food platters. It was indeed an eye opener for myself and I was quite eager to try out all of them! But, the truth is, you really won't be able to do so. I tried most of them and I could not carry on anymore - literally bloated, and those foods were all so good. Prices for their foods here might be slightly more expensive than other Lebanese restaurants generally, but looking at their location in such premium shopping mall and also the good quality food that they served, I of course would say that it is all worth the price. But, of course, that night was on the head chef's courtesy! Comfortable ambience, it gets noisy during weekend nights though, so happening you would be awed! Parking here is rather easy as this is in a mall, except for some peak hours when you might need to make a few rounds before you find you a parking spot. Definitely had a great night, and surely will return there again!

Yelp
I love Lebanese food and when we went to KL to visit family, I was so happy to see a Lebanese restaurant. The food was amazing! Our party of nine came in for dinner and ordered so much food. We ordered a hummus appetizer, labaneh, two chicken schwarma platters, a chicken kebab sandwich, chicken liver, calamari salad, chicken wings, a roasted chicken, roasted potato dish, and a side basmati rice. It was all very tasty and too difficult to choose a favorite. Overall, we had a great experience. Amazing food and great service. If I lived in KL I would definitely go again. Yum!

Yelp
I was really, really looking forward to eating some good Middle Eastern food (it's hard to find in Hong Kong) but sadly, Al-Amar turned out to be just okay. I arrived after the lunch rush, around 14:30. It took some time before I was greeted so I was quick to order a salad and a wrap before the server disappeared again. The salad and wrap arrived before my drink - and because I was thirsty from the hot walk over from my hotel - I waited another five minutes before capturing my server's attention to remind him of my iced tea. Once my cold beverage finally arrived, it was time to dig in... and my salad with haloumi cheese, pomegranate, red grapes, rocket, and lettuce served with a lemon olive oil dressing was quite lovely. The chicken shawarma sandwich disappointed, however. Both the french fries and garlic sauce were missing, and when I did receive the garlic sauce after chasing down my server, it tasted like regular mayo. My experience could have been better if the sever had simply checked in on me after dropping my food off, as some of the problems could have been resolved sooner rather than later. Maybe the restaurant was having an off day, but I won't be hurrying back anytime soon.

Yelp
This place is pretty pricey, but Lebanese food is a little hard to find in KL so I was excited to try it. I ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich, which was really a wrap. It was just aight, no better than the 5rm schwarma stop can find around Bukit Bintang. We also ordered the Moutabel (eggplant dip) which was amazing! The pita seems to be made in house too, and was warm and soft. I'd like to come back to try the Schwarma platter or kebabs.

Yelp
Every fasting month my family and i would break our fast here at least once. We just love Lebanese food! And Al-Amar has got to be the best in town. Their buffet spread is just excellent, i personally love their breads and dips such Hummus, Labneh(Lebanese cream cheese made with strained yoghurt and topped with olive oil, Batata Hara ( fried potatoes cubes sprinkled with chili powder, garlic, coriander and lemon), Chicken Kafta ( grilled chicken skewers) oh my the list can go and on. You get the jist, right? The food is pretty damn good! And if you are a glutton like me when it comes to eating, id suggest you go for the buffet too! Oh and i love their minty lemony drink..not sure what its called but its really refreshing and definitely a thirst quencher! Al-Amar's seating capacity is huge and has got an outdoor seating too..not much of a view but i think smokers would be happy! I once reserved tables for 30pax, for an uncles birthday and they were able to accommodate perfectly and the table service was great. My family is pretty huge and we can be quite a handful! ( kinda like the scene from my big fat greek wedding..where everyone is so loud and chirpy!)

Yelp
Lebanese food wasn't my favourite but I gave in for a try at Al-Amar. It is a huge shop and it is located on the 6th floor of Pavillion. If you are a Watson's card holder, you can redeem a 10% off your total bill (terms and conditions apply). Since I was there for lunch celebrating a new colleague joining the company, her pick was at this restaurant and we went there without further thought. It was indeed a nice and quiet place. Rather empty comparing to other eateries on the 6th floor to be honest. Anyway, I ordered a chicken kebab since I was just trying to keep everything safe and not venturing to something more adventurous. It was overall good!! Couldn't ask for more since the food was prepared in a decent manner, service was okay. Not much complain!! I was told that this branch taste much better than the one outside of Jalan Bukit Bintang. If you are keen, why not give it a go?

Yelp
I was personally invited by my Arab friend (that is now living abroad) to dine for dinner. To be honest, Al-Amar was my first Lebanese restaurant I been to but I give it a try anyway. My Arab friend ordered for me since it was my first time (my virginity on Lebanese restaurant, Hahaha). I specificly remember he ordered a chicken kebab- they are extremely huge and YUMMY! A side dishes with bread and their signature Lebanese food. He told me everyone should try this at least once in their life time. Oh well, It was amazing!!! Frankly, they even provided their distinctive sauce and they are 'DA BOMB" Besides, they provided excellent service not to mention their interior are incredibly well-design- they are extremely organized and cozy. I was very impressed by their outdoor seating where you could experience the view of Kuala Lumpur especially at night! Thanks to him, I able to witness a true Lebanese Food. My overall experience weren't great, it was awesome! Couldn't ask for more- their service, ambience, food or beverage wise, are done splendidly. Plus, I was told this that this is the BEST among all branches. Dine here if you're around the corner cause why not? You won't regret it.

Yelp
I I came here for some food and Shisha. The Shisha is ok but not great. They use the coco coals which I hate. Service is not bad and staff are generally responsive and welcoming. As for food, it was good. Beef is better than chicken. I recommend the place!

Yelp
Al-Amar is a nice place for a quick bite if you are in the city centre of KL. A tad expensive. What I did not like is that even though they can provide tap water (they did so last weekend) they told us that we had to buy a bottle in the past visits

Christi F.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place as a friend and I were out and about shopping. Great find! Had hummus and shawarma platters. So delicious!!! Went back a couple days later for takeout, just to make sure my favorable observations weren't just due to hunger. Wasn't disappointed!

Yelp
The food was good. BUT the portion was small and expensive. The variety offered on the menu was not as impressive as some of the middle eastern restaurants in town.

Yelp
First time having Lebanese. The restaurant is good. Ordered lamb chicken mushroom dishes. Very similar to Greek food.
