I stayed at Al Bustan Palace Ritz Carlton in Muscat and honestly, it’s an amazing hotel.||||The lobby is spectacular. Pictures don’t do it justice, and I’m not exaggerating. It’s one of those places where you just stop and stare for a while when you walk in. The grounds are equally beautiful, perfectly kept and spread out in a way that feels calm and elegant.||||The pool is incredible. With the mountains as the backdrop it looks like something out of a postcard, and it’s the kind of place you could happily spend the whole day. The beach is just as good – wide, peaceful, and tranquil. It feels private compared to a lot of other resorts I’ve been to.||||Customer service is top tier. Everyone is attentive without being overbearing, and you really feel looked after. The food is fantastic too. Definitely go for the evening buffet – it doesn’t taste like “buffet food” at all. Everything is fresh, high quality, and the variety is brilliant. Lobsters, lamb chops, the works – the quality is phenomenal.||||A couple of practical things: the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so if you want to eat outside you’ll need a taxi. Booking through the hotel is ridiculously expensive, so download the Otaxi app. It’s Oman’s version of Uber and way cheaper, but you’ll need to walk just outside the hotel grounds to get picked up.||||If I had one complaint, it’s the rooms. They’re on the smaller side, which is surprising given the overall hotel and the Ritz Carlton brand. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing.||||All in all, this is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed in. If you want luxury, stunning views, and proper peace and quiet, Al Bustan Palace delivers.
