A truly unforgettable lunch at Al Capri Restaurant! We stopped by Al Capri for lunch during our visit to Capri, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere was welcoming and full of character, but the real star of the experience was our waiter, Maurizio. He was incredibly funny, warm, and made us feel like we were dining with an old friend. His energy and humor brought such a fun vibe to our meal — service like that is rare. As for the food: the pasta was the best I had in all of Italy. Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. It was simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious — exactly what you dream of when you think of Italian food. The setting was charming, the service was top-notch, and we left with full stomachs and big smiles. If you’re in Capri, don’t miss this spot — and if Maurizio’s working, you’re in for a treat.

Pros: Beautiful setting, clean bathrooms, gelato was good. Cons: Coffee was lukewarm, and staff seem a bit uninterested in serving their guests. And then suggested I tip them. "Make it €26?" Sure okay, but that's the last tip you'll get from me because I won't be back.

We stopped by for a lunch during the trip in Capri, that was late March, just before the season opening so there weren't many places open yet. Al Capri was recommended by our Italian tour guide. The place is specious with lots of tables available, clean, with breath-taking views, decorated in Mediterranean style which is very welcoming. We ordered pizza and spaghetti al limone. That was best spaghetti I've had in Italy during the whole stay. The pizza was good, it didn't make in the top 3 out of 10 we tried though. Good selection of wine. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was served in timely manner. The places has lots to offer, including the beautiful decor and views, good food and location- it's off the main square so it's not so crowded but still close La piazetta.

TOURIST TRAP !!! WAY OVER PRICED TASTLESS FOOD this place is to be avoided , had 2 Coke Zero for 16€ ! Oh and Coputo of 5€ and then they have the nerve to ask for a Tip !!!! The pasta was lacking spices and pizza had nothing on it worst I’ve had in Italy the last two weeks We wish we continued looking for restaurants instead of choosing this one for the view ! And you are paying for the view and view only Be ware !

Edit: Adding photos as the owners challenged that we had even visited, and disputed the review. Avoid at all costs. It’s a scam and they look to exploit tourists. Sat us down and then took 10 mins to serve us. When we asked for a menu they refused to give us one - the first warning sign. Ordered four iced coffees and they attempted to charge €12 each, when the menu said €6. Thankfully when challenged, they changed the price but didn’t even bat an eyelid, they know what they’re doing. I’m all for paying for a service when it’s deserved but this place is lucky it’s getting one star… I can’t put it any lower. Left a bitter taste in my mouth, and that’s not the bad coffee! Always ask for a menu, always check the bill, but even better, just avoid.

I read all the reviews and i don’t think the rating is indicative of the restaurant or the dining experience. Capri is expensive. Period the end. Everything about this restaurant is exceptional, from the elegant setting to the exquisite cuisine and impeccable service. Located in the heart of Capri with a chic yet relaxed atmosphere, Il Capri offers both breathtaking views and world-class dining. The seafood here is on another level. The crudo was impossibly fresh, delicately seasoned to let the natural flavors shine. But the real stars of the show were the fish and filets. The grilled catch of the day was perfectly cooked — flaky, moist, and infused with herbs and citrus that brought out every note of the sea. The filet of beef was equally impressive: tender, flavorful, and cooked with absolute precision. Every dish was balanced, thoughtful, and beautifully presented. The desserts are equally delicious and satisfying. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. They made excellent wine pairings and made us feel completely at home from start to finish. Dining at Il Capri isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience you’ll remember long after your trip ends. If you’re in Capri, don’t miss this place.

Ordered the Asporto for 7 Euros for takeaway. They were disappointed that we only wanted 1 item between the 4 of us but the server kindly cut the slice into 4 without us asking. Good location.
