A truly unforgettable lunch at Al Capri Restaurant! We stopped by Al Capri for lunch during our visit to Capri, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere was welcoming and full of character, but the real star of the experience was our waiter, Maurizio. He was incredibly funny, warm, and made us feel like we were dining with an old friend. His energy and humor brought such a fun vibe to our meal — service like that is rare. As for the food: the pasta was the best I had in all of Italy. Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. It was simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious — exactly what you dream of when you think of Italian food. The setting was charming, the service was top-notch, and we left with full stomachs and big smiles. If you’re in Capri, don’t miss this spot — and if Maurizio’s working, you’re in for a treat.

Good that we didn't follow the 3.6 ⭐ reviews and we decided to give it a try. Good food Amazing wine Fast service And beautiful view Con, s ( some waiters are alright but some they acting like they are the ones that own that place, very rude with an attitude and not helping if we weren't on their section) Gabriella the Romanian receptionist helped me to make my mother birthday very special. Thank you Gabriella and kitchen staff for amazing time❤️

This is a solid place for a fast uninspired meal with a great view. The service was fast and chaotic with tourists everywhere. Our iced coffee was first delivered hot and quickly corrected. We were charged for a water we asked for but never received. I also would have expected a bit more flavor with our caesar salad for the cost (there was no cheese). At a premium location with such a wonderful view I can understand how the food and service can become expensive. Unless you are in a rush and willing to pay a premium I would recommend finding a different restaurant.

I stopped here for lunch with my cruise group. I truly have never had worse service. The food and views were great, however we were completely ignored multiple times by the staff. We asked for salt and pepper for our table and the waitress we asked made no effort in doing so. We asked the same waitress later if we could get our check, as we had been waiting for over 20 minutes, and the same happened again. Our waitress then brought our check by slamming it on the table in front of us and walking away without saying anything. We noticed that every other group had the card machine brought to them along with their check so they could pay, however we were the only ones who didn’t. My sister and I are women of color and all of the people around us were older white people. We had finished our food significantly earlier than the people around us and were kept waiting, with our waitress looking at us multiple times. We were kept waiting for so long that our tour guide came to our table to tell us that we only had a little bit of time left before our group was about to leave. Later a different woman came to our table to have us pay. By the time we got outside, the majority of our group was already outside waiting for us. We also noticed that another couple in our group, who were seated at the same time as us, and were people of color, were leaving at the same time as us. I will never visit again and do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Review of the restaurant only. We loved this place. I’m honestly shocked at the poor reviews. No, it is not cheap. You are on the ritzy Island of Capri, and at a restaurant with mission dollar views. They charge top dollar. We sat by the window and enjoyed a panoramic view of the island. Simply stunning. I cannot image the spectacle it must be at night. Our servers were professional and had good command of English. The Diavolo pizza was well prepared and flavorful. The subtle flavor of the ravioli we tried was delightful. Fresh pasta and garden fresh tomato sauce. We were delighted and would return without hesitation.

The food, atmosphere and service are unbelievable. This is even before mentioning the amazing view of beautiful Capri. Maurizio is the best. Go, you will not be disappointed!

TOURIST TRAP. Don’t bother if you are just coming for drinks, they will shoo you away like some sort of vermin. If you’re not buying a full meal they won’t serve you fast or let you sit where you’d like. Additionally, they add a €5 charge per person but only if you order food. Naturally, this is not told to you in person but hidden in small print somewhere on the menu. One positive is that we were given a free limoncello shot at the end.

Amazing location and views, we had a table next to window. We were there in April and Capri was just starting to open so it was relatively quiet. Capri is expensive, and Al Capri is no different. The restaurant was recommended by our guide, who told us the pastas were around 18EURO but they were all high twenties, so we all had a pizza and apart from my daughter who picked the cheese pizza covered in fries, they were pretty good. I didn't think that was a thing but apparently it is, and saw it in another restaurant in Naples. The waiter said when I was paying is for kids. The service was ok, there were more waiters than there were full tables so it was attentive if not that friendly, they pushed for the full three course so lost a bit of interest when we just ordered pizza. I found the service charge a bit rough, and the waiter pushed for a tip which was annoying. Not sure there are more reasonable food options in Capri, we loved our day in Capri anyway.
