While the price is on the higher side, this Syrian restaurant is totally worth it. No compromise on quantity, quality or service. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating. The ambience is amazing, and you feel like you stepped into the middle eastern world. The toilet is through a steep set of stairs, my only complaint.

We had the Mazza II for two people and it was amazing! Every bite was really delicious. They also have a nice backyard where you can enjoy the food on their terrace with nice weather. Waiter was also friendly. Would definitely recommend going here!

I would say everything is delicious. The service is also fine and friendly. Everyone did their best job. We chose the course menu which it costs 42,50 per Person and we tried the homemade lemonade drink there which is so delicious. The Red Wine from Lebanon is also a must try.It costs 35 Euro per bottle but it is worth to try. Also plenty choice of wine to choose. Luckily we went there since 17.00 p.m that is why we got the table spontaneously

We visited this restaurant as part of a team meeting. At first glance, a restaurant of a higher level. We booked the majority of the menu for the Syria tour. The menu was varied and full of flavors, but unfortunately it didn't have the right spark (spice) that I've experienced in restaurants in Israel. The service was pleasant, just didn't care much about us, there were always empty glasses on the table and waiting for the service. Overall, I rate this restaurant above average, but expectations were higher.

Went here for a nice family dinner and shared The Taste of Syria plate. Everything was delicious, but two sharing plates for 4 people was a bit too much food as we filled up on appetizers. Would recommend to anyone looking for a flavorful semi-formal meal.

Very nice place, especially liked authentic Syrian interior. We did not make reservation but it is better to make as it was almost full, we were lucky they had free table for us. Food was tasty, portions are really big. You can choose rice or potato as a side dish. I especially liked tenderloin of lamb and mix of Syrian sweets. They as well have Lebanese wine. Service was fast and good. Would definitely recommend.

The food here was exceptional! Like your other typical Mediterranean dishes, this didn't differ much other than their attention to detail. All their offerings, from their appetizer plates with dips and fresh veggies, to their rice and breads that were complimentary to the other foods to their meats, they did not take any shortcuts. The service, considering how extremely busy they were on a Wednesday night, was second to none. They explained the dishes well, they checked up on a timely manner and they delivered the food to table in an efficient timeframe given the circumstances. In terms of the nose levels, we were a table of 5 and had a way time conversing amongst each other even though the place on the top floor had about 80 people dining.

Had the Syrian sampler for two, what an experience!! The food was amazing, lots of flavors to savor. Highly recommend to anyone in the Hannover area.

We had a great meal. We started the "Tour of Syria" with the Mazza, a selection of various mideastern appetizers, then a mixed grill for a main course.

A very nice Syrian restaurant. Have been there a few times. I'm not local so i have no clue wether it's typical. But the food tastes good. Very good service. Central location. Better to reserve seat before hand.

A visit is strongly recommended. The meat is as perfekt grilled as it can get and the quality excellent in tender, taste and fillet quality. Service and flare match the great food - ideal.

I loved this place! I was in Hannover for a trade show and we just walked around one evening looking for a place to eat & found AL-DAR. It's a Syrian restaurant with a really great atmosphere. It was Saturday night and most of the people were fairly dressed up, but they made us feel completely welcome even in jeans and a tee shirt. We ordered the Mezzo for 2 and it was more than we could eat. The quality of food was great and the service was great! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. Slightly on the pricey side, that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Our great colleagues in Hanover told us to go for dinner in this Syrian restaurant. It was much bigger than I expected but that did not preclude them from serving an excellent meal. We shared the multi appetizer dish and a grilled meat platter. Both were very flavorful. Service was excellent, definitely worth a visit.

A must for every time I'm in Hannover. If you are two or more, you can't go wrong with the mezzo plate to start. Everything is so fresh and tasty, I wish we had an Al Dar back home too!

Very good Syrian food! For me one of the best restaurants in Hannover. It is middle-price, but extremely good quality and service. It is better to reserve beforehand as it is always crowded. I will definitively go back.

I should say it is a very interesting restauarant. I give the appetizer 5 star, or they offer rose water kir which I find very interesting but the main dish ... I have eaten better!

Excellent. Pretty standard middle eastern menu, but deliciously executed. I had the Trip Through Syria grill meal and everything was great. Not overly priced. Wuite reasonable actually. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy but we were sat within minutes without a reservation.
