A beautiful glimpse into the UAE’s past!
Such a wonderful place to experience the ancient history and culture of the UAE. The area has been beautifully preserved and recreated, allowing visitors to truly feel what life was like in old Dubai.
One of the best parts is the open-door policy — you can freely walk into most of the houses, galleries, and courtyards without any entry fee. The exhibits, pictures, and materials all tell fascinating stories about the Emirati way of life in earlier times.
If you love culture and history, this place is a must-visit. I absolutely loved exploring it!
A small suggestion — it would be great to have a help desk or an information center to guide visitors. A free self-guided audio or virtual tour would make the experience even better for solo travelers.
There are guides available for around $20, but they seem to prefer group tours rather than individual visitors. Also, a few places were closed for renovation during my visit — but that’s understandable and part of keeping the heritage alive.
Overall, it’s a peaceful, educational, and inspiring spot in the heart of Dubai. Highly recommended!
