Al Hakaya Museum

I expected the museum exhibits to be aesthetically better. The staff were very nice, and the guide who explained the museum to us was very informative.

This is a hidden gem that depicts the history that passed through Jordan since the time of Moses, to Jesus, and finally modern Jordan. The place is well designed and well equipped. They have some very well developed sculptures. There is also a guide that explains every sculpture. Expect to spend around 30 minutes. Getting in incurs a small fee, and can be paid by cash or card. They have ample parking outside. There is a large store, and cafeteria. The place is 1 KM away from Mount Nebo.

Visited this museum while on a pilgrimage of the Holy Land last year. This small museum does a good job in showcasing the culture of Jordan and several biblical and historical events via dioramas. Overall, a nice place to check out.

Visited this museum before Mount Nebo. I was incredibly surprised by how much work went into bringing these scenes to life. You definitely should stop by to see this attraction before visiting Nebo. I will come back with more family and friends.

2nd time visiting this beautiful place with so much history. And again the feeling that overcomes your spirit, is unexplainable. Highly recommend a visit to Mount Nebo.

Really nice museum, a bit odd but interesting. Only 2JD pp (no jordan pass) entrance and you'll spend 30min-1hr strolling around marveling at the dioramas, scenes, mockups of religious places. Many of the dioramas are even funny, some have moving arms and legs. Look closely, gaze about, as you might (likely will) miss interesting details. The place puts a smile on your face. Again, unexpected and well done. Perfect for families. Folks up front are friendly and welcoming. WCs just out the door on your left. There's a very good restaurant/cafe with excellent view of the valley upstairs, if you like. Parking easy and gratis. Gift shop as well.
