Fantastic show. One of the best and longest running musical. The theatre is nice. The seats are a bit over packed but good part is close proximity to the set wherever you are seated. Highly Recommended!

As of the summer of 2025, this place still hosts the Moulin Rouge Broadway show. The theater itself is mid size for New York. Sounds were clear and the place felt intimate. My only gripe here is the lack of bathrooms. Lines were way too long during intermission. So, I suggest you empty your bladder before starting the shows!

Seeing my first Broadway show was a dream come true. Even before it began, the cast was already on stage, and the red-lit set had my heart racing with excitement. The moment the show started, I was in tears. Not because it was a sad scene, but because the singing and performances were so powerful and moving. I was completely captivated until the final curtain fell. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Google
This theater is so pretty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The seats were comfortable! And the Moulin Rouge play was just wonderful. I had a great time!

Saw Moulin Rouge the other night. My third show in a week. Great historic building. The staff was wonderful especially the people in the can can section. The show was amazing as well!

What a great show!!! Sexy, extravagant visuals, funny, spectacular performances, incredible decorations. A feast for your eyes and soul, I would say. …Love, love, love.

Google
Gorgeous theater with amazing architecture and acoustics. But like all Broadway theaters, it is very cramped! I have bruises on my hips from stuffing myself in the tiny seat. Still worth it to see Moulin Rouge!

Google
The details at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre are amazing. At 100 years old, no one could build a theatre like this today. Seeing Boy George in Moulin Rouge at this location has been wonderful.

Yelp
Went to see Moulin Rouge last Friday at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. What a fabulous night it was. The signature cocktail was delicious, the customer service was great too. This venue was perfect in every way!

Yelp
I came here to see my first Broadway show; Moulin Rouge. Upon arrival, the security check was quick as we were led to our seats once inside. Come a little early to get your photos and use the restroom as this is not allowed once the show starts. Even during intermission, the lines will be long for the restroom so don't drink too much if you don't want to miss anything. The show was entertaining and I loved the incorporation of the modern music. I was the most amazed by the set though, which was executed perfectly. You can tell all the details and work put into this production. But the biggest reason I wanted to watch this was to see Jojo as Satine. It was a once in a lifetime experience to see her perform.

Yelp
This was my first ever broadway show and i went in knowing nothing about moulin rouge. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable seats, and the view from our seats. Our seats were in the top section right above the ledge. Such great seats!! We were able to see everyone besides the very edge of the stage on the side we were sitting which wasn't an issue. I will say, the food is expensive. I was not expecting it to be cheap but it is still a shock when sprite is $11 with no refill. It does come with a cup tho! My favorite part about this experience was how beautiful it was on the inside. When we first walked in the "awww" from the people was audible. People were making tiktocs, taking pictures, and just soaking in the beauty of the theatre. No broadway show allows video or pictures during the performance, i just had no idea how heavily enforced it is! It was funny to watch them run up to people sneaking pictures. They would come running up to them with a flashlight in their faces lol! I would for sure return and it was a great experience overall!

Yelp
I will review Moulin Rouge separately (though there will be some overlap). Easy entry into theater. Orchestra is directly to the right of the entrance, so that's easy enough. There are stairs and I'm pretty sure no elevator access. Staff is efficient, professional, and helpful. The set is absolutely amazing. So provocative and flashy, a feast for the eyes. Tons of lights and colors and sparkle. The set spills over into the rest of the theater. I sat in row C, which is a little closer than I thought, but I enjoyed the seat. The stage set up is a large stage with a runway down the middle of the "cancan table" section (perpendicular to the stage), then a runway that runs parallel to the front of the stage, along row C. In row C, you are DIRECTLY in front of the runway. So close the attendants tell you not to place anything on the stage. I'm only 5'2, but my sightline for the large stage was perfect. I didn't have to crane my beck. When performers came up to the walkway directly in front of me, I had to look up, but it was awesome to be RIGHT THERE. Before the show, performers come out and give you a cabaret type show. Because I was front and center, a lot of them stopped and made direct eye contact with me. There were times during the show I thought people were going to fall down on top of us (they were joking around of course)--that's how into the action you are. Probably some of the best seats in the house, but row D would be pretty good too. I wouldn't go to the cancan seats. You have to crane your neck AND turn around often to try to catch the action on the runways behind you (and there is A LOT). Seats aren't the smallest I've ever sat in, but they are tight. Leg room is fine in row C since you're in front of the stage. I love a theater with a lounge. And there aren't as many in NYC as you'd think. I can remember having a lounge experience at Lyric theater for Harry Potter and recently had a lounge experience at Cabaret (though it was an inconvenient pain in the ass). The Al Hirschfield theater has a very nice lounge and great VIP staff. And it's totally worth the 50 bucks. The attendant, Abel, was awesome. Very personable and fun.

Yelp
This theater is so great and the show was amazing! It's located off Times Square in a quieter section of the neighborhood, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants around so you can eat and grab a drink before or after the show. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They are all about enforcing the rules, so be sure to arrive early to visit the restroom and take photos and videos before you settle in for the show. No photos or videos starting about 15 minutes before show time! The show itself was incredible, the cast was so amazing and moving, the set design was jaw dropping, and it was such a dream to see Aaron Tveit and Jojo perform!

Yelp
This theater really knows how to let a production let its hair down, so to speak. What an incredible show it hosted in Moulin Rouge! Just Wow! I felt like it wasn't just any theater but a true Paris Backstreet red light district spectacle. I loved every minute of it. The entire theater was transformed to take us on the journey. Thank you Al Hirschfeld Theater for allowing the production to take us to the limits of our senses.

Yelp
Moulin Rouge has solidified its spot as my fav show of all time! Set design and the theater itself is absolutely beautiful. The show itself is amazing. But what made me come here to leave a 5 star review was the staff. Huge shout out to everyone running the theater. The ushers did a great job of managing the crowd for when the audience was allowed to take pictures and when they weren't allowed. Also the women managing the bathroom were some boss ladies and got us back from intermission on time. The real MVP of the night was Philip. I want to say he was the floor manager or some sort of manager for the theater. He helped me charge by dying phone. If you haven't yet. Get yourself down to the MOULIN ROUGE!

Yelp
Good evening- I was at the 5pm show on Easter. My boyfriend now fiancé proposed to me in the theatre right before the show started. This is our favorite Broadway show and our 3rd time seeing the performance. We absolutely love Moulin Rouge. Boy George and the cast always give a stellar performance! I want to commend your usher Chris who was absolutely amazing when we shared our wonderful news. He was kind and courteous and made us feel special. We were both extremely grateful for your staff making us feel like a king and a queen on our special day! My fiancé and I will always remember our magical night at The Moulin Rouge!

Joe M.

Yelp
A very nice theatre with comfortable seating and the perfect amount of seating. Friendly staff, easy entry and exit. Only suggestion is extra restroom capacity, but I did not have any issues, it just felt crowded.

Yelp
What an honor, to be able to experience this well established theatre. If you do not watch Moulin Rouge while in New York City, who are ya?!? We were greeted by the smiley host and usher who brought us to our seats. The performance is about 2.5 hours with a 20 minute intermission. This is an updated show with classic songs from the 1990's to the present time. The main characters to the back up dancers are just fantastic!! Props to them!! The people who are in charge of changing the backgrounds every time, kudos to you!! I am sure it is not an easy job but they did it effortlessly. The seats are very comfortable and the theatre just has that charm that you admire. The snacks/drinks were decent in price-exactly like what you could you would buy at a hotdog stand. For 2 water bottles and a bag of pretzels cost about $23USD. My boyfriend and I went during a heatwave so it would have been nice for the theatre to be a bit cooler. Since I enjoyed myself immensely, I will not remove a star.

Yelp
Beautiful theater! A bit chilly during winter inside. Arrive early and enjoy the show, the artists start being on stage before. Doors open at 6:30pm for the 7pm show. Moulin Rouge was amazing! Highly talented individuals and loved every song.

Yelp
A lovely historical theatre in the heart of NYC Times square. I was lucky enough to see Moulin Rouge here. The building is so beautiful and historic. the only eh part is that the rest rooms are in the basement. I'll be back!

Yelp
Went to Matinee yesterday for Moulin Rouge. I'll leave the review of the show to others (but I loved it. I've seen it at the Kennedy Center, too). Security did a great job getting us into the theater quickly. Have your bag open and ready to go! Souvenirs can be purchased at Orchestra level and on the mezzanine, so go up if you can. At time acoustics were too muffled. We were in front row of Mezzanine, pretty much hanging over stage extension, and I couldn't understand the Boy George (even though I know the story). It seemed to get better as the show moved forward. I was late for the second act due to the intermission not being long enough to let women go to the bathroom. They had a staff member who did an AMAZING job calling out available stalls to keep us moving, but there was still a long line when they resumed the show. Patrons should not have to decide between physical health/discomfort or watching the show they paid so much to see. I saw women abandoning the line they had waited in the whole intermission to run back to the show. Word to the wise: don't drink anything before or during the show.

Yelp
This is a great theater. Seating is so comfortable and stage is huge. Not a bad seat in the house. Love it here. Moulin Rouge is so full of energy, it's electric. BOY GEORGE IS EPIC.

Yelp
The Al Hirschfeld is on 8th Ave a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The theatre currently houses Moulin Rouge! the Musical. It's difficult to separate critique regarding the show vs. the theatre, but I'll attempt here. The stage is set up so that the far right and far left seats in the orchestra (first floor) are extremely obstructed. There are staircases on either side of the stage that obstruct your view. And although the mezzanine (second floor) is incredibly raked (angled), there are parts of the stage that come into the audience quite a ways and you will miss some of the show due to this. The set and costumes of the current show are both very incredible. But do note that it is based on the movie Moulin Rouge (with Ewan MacGregor and Nicole Kidman) and it is a jukebox musical - this means that all the songs are not original. Unfortunately due to the nature of this, you will often get patrons singing along and talking/being raucous during the show. The ushers seem to be very diligent in the orchestra regarding this but not so much in the mezzanine and people get away with a lot of things. Please DO NOT sing along, talk or be on your phone during the show! Regarding the phone, I think perhaps since many of the actors are in lingerie throughout the show that because of this the ushers are particularly strict with no photography/videography in this show - they will not allow you to film from about 10 minutes prior to the show even begins so make sure you arrive early to get pics. Stage door (where you can meet the actors after the show) is located to the right of the main entrance. The nearest exit is to the right of orchestra right, walk left when you walk out and there will be barricades set up (on 45th st). Discount ticket options: 1) online lottery (very difficult to win, and very obstructed seats) 2) in person at the box office (fees are waived) 3) TKTS booth in times square or lincoln center

Yelp
I came here to see Moulin Rouge and it definitely delivered beyond what I could have ever imagined! Every inch of the theatre was dazzlingly decorated to immerse you into the production. The staff was warm and helpful. The cast was one of the best that I've seen with their performance and the way they interacted with the audience. The atmosphere was electrifying! If you have a chance, check out Moulin Rouge or another show at this theatre. I know I will be back!

Yelp
WOW!!!!! all I can say is this was one of the best experiences of my whole life. Me and my wife's first broadway show and we just can't get over it. Boy George was there and played herold ziddler. The whole cast was amazing and the costumes ESPECIALLY satee (that might be spelled wrong) was just on point. So worth it. Honestly I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I want to keep trying more and more broadways now

Yelp
Went to see Moulin Rouge and had a great time! Wish the ladies room had more stalls as we didn't have enough time to get drinks during intermission since we needed to use the bathroom.

Yelp
Had the pleasure to watch Moulin Rouge starring Joanna "Jojo" Levesque (sadly she got sick so her understudy Oyoyo Joy took over last minute) and Derek Klena (incidentally got to see him walk past me heading to stage for an hour before the show... I used to think he's cute on TV when I watched Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin but seeing him up close -- oh my goodness he's DREAMY). The theater itself is GORGEOUS -- I appreciated all the details of the architecture. Even the women's restroom was so organized so it allowed a good one-way flow in and out of the restroom (I recently learned they're called "water closets" here in NY). The show was amazing! I'd watch it again actually -- hopefully JoJo is there when I do!

Yelp
If you want to have a memorable evening on Broadway - this is it! We got last minute tickets to Moulin Rouge and the view from the balcony was nothing short of spectacular. It was the 1,000th performance of Moulin Rouge at the theatre and the main character was played by the pop star... JoJo. Truly impressive. Gorgeous decorations, costumes, singing, and dancing. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Watched Moulin Rouge this past Saturday. My husband and I sat on the second floor, Center, Row B seats 107-108. We had the best view! The tickets were pricey, but it's better to pay more for a better view than pay less and not be able to see everything that is going on. There are a lot of performers moving around during Moulin Rouge so you should want a view of all of it. This was my first musical and it was spectacular! The costumes, the stage set up, the music, the actors, the performances - was superb. I overheard a girl say that this was her second time watching Moulin Rouge while on vacation from how much she loved it. If I had the time, I probably would do the same. Honestly, I enjoyed the show more than the movie. HIGHLY Recommended!

Yelp
Opened in 1924, this iconic Broadway theatre with a 1,424 capacity is located in the Times Square area of NYC. I enjoyed the show Moulin Rouge. Purchasing the ticket on one of the wholesale online outlets for $45, I had a great seat right up front in Orchestra. The musical was so entertaining. Stayed afterwards to see the cast.

Yelp
Get ready to be entertained and exhilarated by the immersive sets and great acoustics of this theatre. This was our 3 visit, this time to see the amazing Moulin Rouge, headlined by Boy George. Upon entering the theatre lobby you'll be impressed by the vibrant set decor that is on par with the Baz Luhrmann's extravaganza. Amazing the detail that went into creating a replica of the film within this vintage theatre. Our front row balcony seats offered a great view of the performers and the intricate dance routines. This is a naughty, adult show that is cheeky and endearing. Derek Klena, David Harris and Sophie Carmen-Jones were amazing. Dancing was lively, as you would expect from the Paris Can Can-bustling environment of the original Moulin Rouge. Acoustics are very good as is the overall space, you feel engaged with the production. Seats are fairly comfy, exit access is quick. Transit to and from the theatre is convenient. There are pedicabs and horse drawn carts nearby as well as Ubers and taxis. Great venue to enjoy your broadway theatre experience.

Yelp
Fabulous theater.. plush, regal. One of the few not in the Schubert Organization which meant I count not fill my refillable soda cup. Not really a bad seat in the house, for Moulin Rouge the center or left side is preferable due to a large Elephant prop front right, and I think my seat, Mezz Front Left row C 25 was the best in the house at the end of the row and right in front of the windmill which had some dancing activity and a fabulous view of the stage/runway. With no-one behind me I took advantage of a plush red velvet seat cushion to bring me up a few inches. The one negative ? Men's room was up top Mezz level, Women's room 2 flights down.. that should change, make the men travel a bit, their line is never very long at the theater.

Yelp
My friend and I came here to see Moulin Rouge. We had discount tickets in the back Mezzanine center area. The theatre itself is beautiful with an opulent, old style and the stage set up for Moulin Rouge was stunning, as well as breathtaking with plenty of glitter and glitz. Upon arrival, my friend mentioned that she couldn't see because the person sitting in front of her was too tall. She let one of the ushers know and they gave her a comfortable red seat cushion. This still didn't help, so the theatre went above and beyond by providing us 2 chairs, which was moved closer to the stage on the left side where all the action was taking place! The show was wonderful. I loved the costumes (especially Satine's gorgeous wardrobe), stage design, acting, and of course the singing. There were the original songs, along with a bunch of more modern pop songs. Christian was handsome and charming, with a meltingly smooth voice. Satine was simply lovely with a sweet voice. They were so perfect together! I was so impressed with the theatre's amazing customer service. I was also very happy with the performance.
google avatar

Carolyn L.

Yelp
The theater is small and cozy enough that you can still get a good view of the stage when seated towards the back of the hall. To get a better experience, it may be better to have seats before the circle level as the upper level does block a bit of the aerial view. Not sure if it is due to the Moulin Rouge set but the theater has an old world charm to it. Intricate carvings are on the pillars. The ladies room is below stairs and a tiny window along the stairs is also the bar. Order from there to get your drinks. The ladies room is well organized with lines and numbers are on the stall's door so you can inform those in line which ones are free. It does look old enough that you would think the theater can be haunted. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. In any case, it is a good theater to watch a production. Front row seats are not necessary here.
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
Great decent sized Broadway theater that we went to the first time ever. Saw Moulin Rouge here. Am imagining it could seat maybe around 500-800 guest? Seats are comfy and the backstage sets seem mostly motorized. The backdrop/background are all good! The play definitely makes good use of the stage and view of the play is fairly decent considering that this is an older theater I presume. Seats are comfy and wide enough. There are a couple of food stands, one on the first floor and one on the second. Restroom sitch is a bit different but the theater certainly has accommodated the need for women to share stalls from the male rests room which is either a genius or if you are a hermit and still live in the olden days, then you won't like it. The reason being is they have 1 set of restrooms for male and female. Verdict - theater was good and comfy. As for the show, Moulin Rouge, it was phenomenal, especially if you have been alive and able to remember music from the 80's and beyond. So go already and see the place and watch the show!!

Yelp
This is just for the theater not the show which was amazing as well. The theater entry process was fast and organized. I felt there were ample amount of bathroom. I saw three bars with a good selection of alcoholic beverages. The seating was average so it is fairly tight. All the staff was friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Elayna D.

Yelp
I had the privilege of seeing Milan Rouge on my recent visit to NY. The show was amazing and perfect! The seats are tight, but that's not out of the ordinary for theatre. It was clean, bathroom ls were clean, and attendants did a great job directing traffic and checking bags. Mask were encouraged, but I did see many without masks. Overall, I'd see a show here again without hesitation. It was easy to find, I walked from my hote in Times Square. I can't wait for my next visit to see a show, do yourself a favor and see a show ANY SHOW!
google avatar

Yelp
I saw Moulin Rouge at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, twice. Beautiful theater, especially while Moulin Rouge is playing here! Staff was great as well.
google avatar

Joanna D.

Yelp
The theatre is gorgeous. For best experience, I do think bottom middle as close to front as you can get would be the best seating, hoping the person in front of you won't block your view. The table seatings on the stage doesn't seem too worth it unless you're willing to turn your head a lot. The bathrooms are acceptable. Drinks can be very costly but at least you keep the coffee style cup. For the show of moulin rouge itself, it was okay good. I think they could've picked better & more fitting songs but that's just my opinion.
google avatar

Sammie D.

Yelp
We saw Moulin Rouge for my mom's birthday celebration! The show was fantastic and the theater was really nice! It was very clean and easy to the find the restrooms. I also loved how the seats were kind of like a stadium because no matter where you sat or who was in front of you, the view wasn't obstructed, this is something that's very important to me being under 5 feet tall!
google avatar

Erick S.

Yelp
Moulin Rogue has a grandiose decor and staging, a nice setup to see upon entering the theater. Seating has the typical shortened leg room, seen in many other broadway theaters. Best seats would be more centered, both in orchestra and mezzanine levels. I sat in left orchestra and had a slightly obstructed left side view. Security is nice and quick to guide people, also reminding people when not to take photos/videos.
google avatar

Shawnte W.

Yelp
Visited AHT to catch Moulin Rouge and really enjoyed the venue! Seats are a bit smug but this is common with theatres so no complaints. I was in the orchestra section towards the back and was able to see the entire stage. Absolutely LOVED the stage decor, it was so bright and brilliant, very pleasing aesthetic! The cast, orchestra and crew all did a fantastic job! I did have a drink before the show started, the lines filled up quickly but service was quick and good. This theatre is also in walking distance to a lot of eateries and hotels. Definitely open to catching another show here in the future.
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Such a beautiful theater!! A big group of us came here to see Moulin Rouge (such a great production). Expensive drinks, stayed pretty cool on a hot summer night, DO NOT take photos during the show!
google avatar

Antoine G.

Yelp
I had a blast watching "Moulin Rouge." The only thing I would complain about is the tightness in seating. I'm a big guy and the seats are literally jam-packed together, without much leg room at all. I know there isn't much can you do about it. (But if you ever do renovations, please consider making larger and rows with more leg room.)
google avatar

Melissa Smith B.

Yelp
The theater is fun, antique, and the stage setup is amazing! The bad news is the usher in our section was incredibly rude. She continuously yelled at people and belittled them for what she felt they "should know".

Yelp
Al Hirschfeld Theater Update My first show at Al's I remember the aisles being wide enough for the cast to run down them in the show Hair. I had seen Hair in San Francisco. It was time to get my daughters birthday present. I killed two birds with one stone. I had to see Hair and she was getting a meal and a ticket for her birthday. "Oh Mom, I didn't even get to select the show!" She opened the card and turned up her nose. I said "You'll love it, they run around naked in one scene!" Then she was really turned off and freaked out by hippie Mom's choice for her birthday. I gave her the aisle seat knowing the cast comes down into the audience. She was unsuspecting. We both got a surprise when they came from the back of the theater behind us. As they ran by, one of them reached out and touched her shoulder on purpose! She ended up having a good time. Yes, I like this theater. I have great memories being here for a favorite show and since then Kinky Boots and Moulin Rouge. It's an old fashioned classic theater l appreciate. It's perfect for running down the aisle. In fact my daughter did run down to the stage our next visit before the show got crowded. She said she always wanted to do that!

Neil L.

Yelp
NO REGARDS FOR CUSTOMERS!!!!!.............My wife and daughter are watching the show as i write this. Both seats are obstructed, NO WHERE was this stated on the web or on the tickets. The manager is completely useless and refuses to even attempt to correct the situation as is the person at the box office. The spent a total of 2 minutes with my wife and then said "Well there's nothing we can do" I will now be attempting to contact Jujamcyn Theaters as well as Jordan Roth to let them know exactly how customers are treated
google avatar

Elena J.

Yelp
Horrible theater management. Unfriendly individuals who see $$$ before the theater goers' experience. They don't even try and pretend to help you with your problems, but will blame everything on corporate. Truly a disappointing experience.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Like many visiting NYC I jumped at the chance to go to the theater. Due to COVID all of NYC theater has been closed for an extended time and I very excited to return. I attended Moulin Rouge which was a super high end production. The Al Hirschfeld Theatre is a relatively (for NYC) spacious theatre and comfortable.
google avatar

Kseniya K.

Yelp
Do NOT buy tickets online if you don't want to pay pointless fees. Go to the box office and purchase tickets without any fees (or taxes). Box office works Monday through Saturday, 10am-8pm. The best seats are front orchestra and front mezzanine. Back of orchestra has obstructed view seats, so be aware that you'll miss a lot of decorations and the stage set if you get those seats. Bring a coat--the theater gets chilly during the performance.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
This is a neat theater with quirky design features, giving it character as many of the Broadway theaters have. However, the seating is really tight--it is hard to get by someone even if they stand up and squeeze back. The seats are really packed in like sardines! Just something to be aware of. The staff was organized and professional, keeping the restroom lines moving smoothly at intermission and making sure everyone was keeping their masks up during COVID. The show itself was great. Check out Moulin Rouge! We had what looked like pretty good seats in Row P mid-center of the orchestra when we purchased them, but arriving in person revealed that the tier above has pretty low ceilings and diminishes some of the sight lines. It would have been worse just a little farther back, so thankfully we were not any further back than Row P. Be careful choosing an orchestra seat given the limitations of the design.
google avatar

Alper T.

Yelp
The location of this theater is perfect. At least 1 block away from Times Sq traffic. I have been to many shows on Broadway. Most of the time I complain about the size of the seats and leg space. This time, even i sat orchestra, seats were comfortable, but no A/C. Literally entire show we had no air circulation. You go 1 floor up, mezzanine seats had fantastic air blowing. Downstairs you pay more but no a/c!!! I bought a glass of red wine, because i am watching Moulin Rouge!! I couldn't even enjoy my wine, i had to bring 3/4 of glass back home. I was so upset, no idea how the theater in winter, but come on in summer no cool air!! Other than that show was amazing!! Stage, performance, songs, choreography, actors. Will definitely come back watch it, sometime but upstairs!!

Yelp
Great NYC Broadway Theater. The theater is well maintained and has the classic NYC look. They are well organize in getting you checked and screen before entering. They are located on the edge of the theater district.

Yelp
This theater get the award for the RUDEST EMPLOYEES. This past Sunday I saw two young ladies being treated very rude by the ushers and security. The usher were rude to the two women in the theater place here face in-between the two women and speaking loudly in their ear. Then security asked the two ladies to leave. These ladies should get there money back! I will never attend another show at this location again. Have any of you ever heard of Customer Service! Really if negative star were available that what I would have given all of you!

Yelp
The heart of the theatre district. A venue that is reminiscent of days gone past and performers who have graced the stage. Even up in the "nose bleed" section, pretty good vantage point. Sound is great, the show, Kinky Boots was beyond amazing and sad to hear that it's run on the Great White Way is meeting the final curtain. Close proximity to anything and everything Manhattan and Broadway. Tourists abound and certainly keep a less fevered pace than us locals but take it all in people. This is what you came for... the experience that is Broadway, Times Square and the Big Apple.

Yelp
Saw Kinky Boots here before I left to go back home to California. The theater isn't too far from Time Sqaure, so it was easy to kill time before the show, but the rain that day made it difficult. They had a cool photo op stand outside where you could put your head into this hole so you look like Lola from the show. When it finally came to show time, I got my bag checked out, gave my ticket to be scanned and was assisted in finding my seat. I ended up on the balcony section and still had a good view of the stage where I was seated. I love how the theater accommodated the different sets that they had for the show and the seats were fairly comfy to sit in as well. They had a concession stand available and multiple little spots to buy Kinky Boots related merchandise. Loved the lighting and how the sound carried in the theater as well.

Yelp
The AH Theater is a true treasure that nearly 100 years after it was built remains one of the grandest of Broadway houses. I've seen several shows here over the years from The Rink in '84 (I was only 17), Grand Hotel, Guys and Dolls (with Nathan Lane and Faith Prince), Moon Over Buffalo (Carol Burnett) and Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate. Most recently I saw Kinky Boots (twice) and Moulin Rouge. It's a beautiful and stunning theater. Though much like many of those that were build decades ago, it does not accommodate the bathroom rush at intermission ... but then, what theater in NYC does? Just saw Moulin Rouge for the second time. Truly a magnificent theater. And, the security getting in is pretty fast and efficient. We started out a block and a half around the corner and were inside within 10 minutes (if that) of them opening the doors.
