We had a truly memorable stay at Al Jasra Hotel. Initially, my wife and I debated between choosing a traditional luxury 5-star hotel, as we usually do, or immersing ourselves in a more cultural setting like Souq Waqif. After our experience, we’re certain we made the right choice—and would gladly return to Al Jasra in the future. ||Upon arriving at Souq Waqif from the airport, we were greeted near the Arumaila Hotel, where buggies are typically available to transport guests and their luggage to the appropriate property. The service was seamless and efficient, with staff guiding us through check-in and ensuring we didn’t have to walk with our bags. Ansar and Ahmed were especially helpful in managing our luggage and escorting us comfortably to our room. ||At check-in, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kynn, whose professionalism and passion for hospitality were immediately apparent. He took great care in making our stay exceptional—offering personalized recommendations, engaging in thoughtful daily conversations, and always ensuring we felt at home. His dedication to guest experience truly stood out. ||Breakfast was served at Al Bidda restaurant, and transportation was effortlessly arranged by buggy. While some may comment on the breakfast spread being limited, we found the selection to be more than sufficient, with every item prepared to a high standard. The quality of the food was outstanding. The omelette station was particularly convenient—guests receive a ticket after ordering, and the food is delivered directly to the table. ||A special mention goes to Sous Chef Shanmuga Mohan, who went above and beyond to provide freshly cut strawberries for our 2-year-old daughter, even though they weren’t available at the fruit station. His thoughtfulness made a lasting impression. The entire team at the restaurant was friendly and attentive—Sunita and Naing, in particular, delivered exceptional service. ||In every aspect, the staff and ambiance made our stay feel both luxurious and culturally enriching. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Al Jasra Hotel for those seeking 5-star comfort with an authentic local touch. ||Worth noting, the buggies operate exclusively for guests staying at the hotel. This service isn’t limited to restaurant transfers—you can request to be dropped off at specific parts of the market or particular restaurants. If you’re dining at a Tivoli restaurant, staff can even arrange for a buggy to pick you up afterward. This is a huge advantage and makes navigating the Souq Waqif area both simple and enjoyable.
