I love this restaurant! Second time visiting 2 years apart and the food and friendly service have not changed. The wild boar pasta is incredible and the tagilata cooked perfectly to taste. House wine served in carafes are great! Really well priced feast! We will be back!! Booking essential.

This was such a cozy restaurant very close to our lodgings in Piazza Della Repubblica. We made reservations at their opening hour on a Friday evening and were at the middle of a 'cattle call' into the restaurant. I guess this is what we should have expected as the time was a bit early for traditional dinner time in Italy. I think, because of this situation, we did not feel a warm response from the servers as they were quite busy with the immediate seating of so many patrons, so I'll give them a pass. My husband and I both had a lentil soup and pizza. The soup is so flavorful, made from local beans. The pizza was very good, but too much for two (perhaps should have shared), so combined we had a whole pizza to take away. The food at the surrounding tables looked like they were nicely prepared. If in Perugia again we would go, but not on such a rushed evening.

It’s clear that it was a good choice as the restaurant opened at 19:30 and in 15 minutes it was half full. There were also many locals. The service was very fast and the food was amazing. We had the beef tagliata and the cacio e pepe pasta. They also have dessert of the day which was a chocolate cake with salted caramel topping, qp/10 and they also have plates of the day which shows also that they let the chef have some freedom in the restaurant. Very nice, would definitely come back!

Never in my life have I had the pleasure of looking down at my plate, and feeling depressed that my meal was almost over. I ordered the norcina rigatoni, expecting nothing more than an average bowl of pasta, but what I got was truly a religious experience. After I finished my meal, I stared towards my girlfriend; with her plate half full I waited to hear the words, “I’m full, you can have the rest.” Within four bites I contemplated ordering another bowl. Instead, I sat there, longingly staring at the empty dish in front of me, which I had scraped with bread, leaving no evidence the plate had ever been dirtied in the first place. It truly is a crime against all culinary experience that this restaurant does not have a Michelin star. In total: 5 big booms. 💥BOOM 💥BOOM 💥BOOM 💥BOOM 💥BOOM

I wasn't very impressed with the food or service. I asked if I could use their wifi since there is no network coverage. I was told they don't have wifi. This place has over 2000 Google reviews, welcome to 2024. Some of us have kids or important responsibilities, and lying about not having wifi is worse than just saying you don't want to share it. There is a network of 5 bars in your establishment called "Natasha", I guess that's your way of saying it belongs to a neighbor. How do 5 bars go through 3-foot thick concrete walls? As for the food, it's okay but nothing special. The best part of the meal is the wine I chose. The service is provided by a team of cocky waiters dressed like they are rock stars.

Google
Food very nice and a good variety of local delicacies. The service was friendly but some staff didn't really "get on the program". The pizza was so tasty, as was the bread, the aubergine parmigiana and mixed salad. The mixed chocolates with rum for dessert was OK but a waste of time. The setting was great with vaulted ceilings. All round a nice evening.

I seldom drop a 5 stars for food quality....this time I can happily say it was one of the best experience I've ever had. The wild boar pasta was delicious, never tried something like that. The soups and the gnocchi were perfect too. So happy we found this place. I strongly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Umbrian Slow Food Happiness The sourdough goes back over 100 years. And yes, it's amazing. And yes, so is pretty much everything else on the menu. And the wine. And the service. The thing is, this is one of those places that bears coming back to, and only gets better each time. It's basically designed to turn into your "go to" place every day. And that is awesome...

Yelp
Pasta Cingjale was supurb. Nice green salad. Chocolate cake was dry. Service was good considering she was waiting on 30 of us.

Yelp
Great food, they got us in even though we had a large group. Best pizza I had in all of Italy. Staff was excellent highly recommend. JM went back the next day for lunch.

Yelp
We were only in Perugia two nights and ate here both nights. We originally heard of it from another traveler in Spoleto and I read recommendations for it from some travel sources. It is a little challenging to find but very well worth it. One night I had norcia styled pasta and the next night a pizza with a friend. I thought it was great. A lively place but almost everyone was gracious and friendly. Neither my friend nor I speak Italian although I can read it well enough to get by. It was a place you feel comfortable going to and a place that could be your favorite if you lived in Perugia. If I am in the area again, I will head here!

Yelp
They were on holiday! We took the plunge all the way down.... only to find them closed! Pls update your website asap! We were looking forward to an amazing dinner...

Yelp
After a long day of travel I looked this place up on Yelp....so happy I did. First I love the location...fun little alley of stairs getting down to the place. We stopped in without a reservation....we were lucky to get in. The waiter was polite and helpful, I had the pasta special of the day and it was amazing! My bf had a pizza that was also very good- enough so he went up and gave the pizza maker/chef compliments. (He makes them right there in the room we were seated in) It was busy, I would recommend reservations as it was very busy. I would absolutely good here again!!

Yelp
Ciao! I'm an American who owns a place about thirty minutes away on Lake Trasimeno; I'll write this in English (since Perugians already know this is a consistently great place to go - especially relative to cost..) I've been there alone after missing a train, and with groups of friends, and it's an easy place to hang out. For starters, it's got a warm, lively atmosphere. Second, I'm from NorCali, so organic and fresh is high on my list - even the house wine is organic, but there's a wine list with regular selections, too. The veggie platters are yummy (or normal dishes that happen to be veggie/vegan) but you can also get a nice fat steak, mixed grill, that kind of thing. Awesome desserts. It IS down a long flight of stone steps but c'mon, that didn't stop moms w/ baby strollers! You have to descend again once inside; not wheelchair accessible but I'm sure they do take-out..

Yelp
The restaurant is about 100 stair steps below the city, but it was well worth the descent and even the return ascent. I ordered the tagliatelle with radicchio and truffle. It was the best meal I had during my nearly 3 week visit in Italy. We had chocolate panne cotta for dessert and it was one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had. The lighting and the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect.

Yelp
