AL Manoosh Lebanese Bakery and More

Absolutely loved our experience at Al Manoosh in Canberra. The food was incredible — fresh, full of flavour, and honestly some of the best we’ve had. What really stood out to us though was the kindness and understanding of the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate for my severely autistic brother, making us feel comfortable, welcomed, and not rushed at all, which means more than words can say. We’re from Sydney and this is officially our go-to spot whenever we come to Canberra now. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food made it such a memorable experience. We loved it so much and will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend 🤍

Rocked up without a booking to an obviously busy cafe bustling with activity. Waited in line for about ten minutes before being seated at the first available table by the hostess. Didnt realise that we had to order and then sit down. Kept waiting for about 15 minutes before asking a waitress passing by and she asked us to order at the counter. Back in the line we went and the guy at the counter was obviously busy but very efficient and absolutely two steps ahead with noting our order down. We were apprehensive about how much bread to order and he told us he would give us more and not to order it separately. The absolute best bread we have had at any Lebanese restaurant! Hands down. We ordered Shakshukas, Special Zaater, Large vegetables plate, Olives plate , 2 Calzones, Zaater wrap and everything was fresh and very delicious and serves were generous! As promised we were given generous serves of bread with leftovers without having to pay extra. We ordered takeaway coffees as we left and they were ok but the food won hands down. People were still coming and lining up. Busy place but we didnt feel forgotten or overlooked. And Food was great with great value for money. Would definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed the Foul Bi Tahine. It came with a complete package that included the dip, bread, and some pickles, and it was very filling. I can't recall the names of the other dishes we ordered, but they were all great. The restaurant was quite popular with locals, as many people came by while we were there. The table was almost full, so be prepared for that.

MY PARENTS LOVE IT HERE. Eating with a peace of mind that the taste is authentic and most importantly halal. We’ve travelled to the middle east and honestly the vibes dining in and eating the food is just so good. The service from everyone who works is is also so nice.

Had such an enjoyable, enjoyable brunch here last weekend whilst visiting Canberra for the weekend from Sydney. My second time visiting this hidden gem of a delightful family run Lebanese bakery. Their dough for the manouche is so good, thin and uses top quality zaatar and ingredients. Also had the cheese stuffed zaatar manouche (showstopper with an amazing cheese pull/stretch). And the meat manouche and also the meat fatteh - I’m a fatteh lover and they make it so impressively well. They treated us to a sweet sugar and butter pie (called fteerit sukkar in Arabic) as we were visiting from Sydney which was so lovely - pure, warm Lebanese hospitality. Service was excellent. We enjoyed our brunch in the seating area outside - a beautiful way to enjoy our Saturday in Canberra. Love watching the baker tending to the manouches cooking away in the traditional flame oven. Great work guys and thank you. Capped off with an excellent Lebanese coffee. They’re in the shopping complex where Woolworths resides - just walk around till you find them. ❤️👌

Excellent food and hospitality. I was in Canberra for a holiday and the owner was extremely kind to let us sample some extra dishes. It was my first time trying Lebanese, and the flavours are absolutely amazing. I will definitely pay them a visit the next time I'm in Canberra.

I cannot speak more highly of the amazing staff and the delicious food that the establishment so loving shares with their customers. The food was 10/10! The soft, pillowy, wood fire oven bread with Zaatar was heavenly! The Kunafeh pistachio dessert was the right amount of sweet and decadent. I wish I stayed in Canberra, so I could visit them more often! If you’re in CBR and looking for great vibes, even better food and hospitality please visit Al Manoosh 💕

Al Manoosh is an excellent choice for a quick delicious meal and good value. The service from every one of their staff is thoughtful and polite. All plates arriving from the kitchen look great and it will take us some time to explore the full menu😀 The inside dining area is North facing and light filled with a vinyl enclosure of the outside dining area during winter or when it’s cold.
