A Tale of Elegance and Luxury From the moment I stepped through the grand entrance of this magnificent 5-star oasis, I felt transported to a realm straight out of 1001 Nights. The exquisite blend of traditional Arabian opulence and modern luxury creates an atmosphere of pure magic. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel’s design is nothing short of breathtaking. Ornate arches, intricate mosaics, and lush courtyards evoke the splendor of a royal palace. The villa was a sanctuary of comfort, featuring sumptuous furnishings, fine textiles, and a beautiful garden with stunning views of the desert sunset. The service was impeccable, with every member of the staff embodying warmth and professionalism. From personalized greetings to anticipating my every need, their dedication to excellence was evident. The dining experience was equally extraordinary. Each meal was a culinary journey, showcasing the finest local and international cuisine, served with Arabic flair. For those seeking a luxurious escape steeped in romance and tradition, this hotel is an unparalleled gem. I cannot wait to return. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt. The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books. The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out. This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return.

Al Moudira is an absolute dream. Staying there was a real highlight of our time in Egypt. Gorgeous, well appointed room with lots of special little touches (books, unique furniture pieces) and a huge, ultra-clean bathroom. We ate really well at both restaurants and were charmed by the gracious warmth of the staff. Spent some good downtime beside the lovely pool, enjoying the winter sun. Loved fossicking in the well curated and surprisingly affordable gift shop. Loved trundling around the gardens and grounds, scoping out all the thoughtful little nooks and crannies to enjoy some quiet time and soak up this very special (and slightly eccentric) hotel.

You may not know it (yet), but this is where you want to stay in (near) Luxor.||The rooms are very large and beautifully appointed with vintage furniture and decorations. The grounds have extensive, beautiful landscaping. You feel like you’re in an oasis.||We loved the food — the breakfast buffet was wonderful, and the dinner we had there was great. The staff are gracious and charming.||Yes, it’s located about 30 minutes from the center of Luxor, but we thought that was one of the selling points — away from the noise and the endless souvenir shops in Luxor. It was a great place to relax after spending a day seeing the antiquities. Highly recommended!

A boutique hotel in the true sense of the word. You will have an unforgettable stay with a pinch on the pocket. The attention to detail in the decor, and regarding the quality of food is brilliant. Their rooms are unique. The only drawback (or not) is the fact that it is a bit far from the city, and takes an effort to get here if you don't have cabs handy.

The Hotel is a gem. Fabulous food with ingredients from their own farm. Amazing garden as a true hide away. Architecture like a private estate with lot of history. Service very personal and not the usual top hotel speech. The different sizes of the villas are perfect for either families or groups with necessity for more privacy. I really enjoyed the stay.

We had a wonderful experience at the unique and beautiful hotel complex of Al Moudira, which is just a short drive from all the sites you'll want to see while affording the serenity and luxury of being tucked away on the rural west bank. We are so glad we picked this hotel; it was the highlight of our two weeks in Egypt and one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.||The airport transfer was excellent and smooth. Check-in was also smooth and pleasant, with a refreshing drink and face cloth offered, in the nice reception area. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the hotel complex; just walking around is a joy, every corner is stunning. Our itself room felt like a temple: spacious and luxurious, with tasteful decor, thoughtfully curated books, and painted features on the walls and ceiling. We booked a (female) Egyptologist guide through the hotel, to take us around the sites for 3 days, and she was wonderful; we are so grateful to Al Moudira for arranging that for us. We also had great fun with the classic cars that Al Moudira has (book the classic car option!!) experiencing both the Merc 200 and the classic Landrover Defender (we technically booked the Landrover for the three days, but they said we could have a go of several and were very relaxed about it!) Our driver was also excellent.||Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, way better than anything else we had in Egypt, everything was fresh and local, pancakes and eggs made to order, fresh smoothies etc. There are several dining options for lunch and dinner as well, all high-quality local tasty food. There is also a gorgeous little juice bar by the pool. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there for three days and did not tire of it at all. All the staff were friendly and professional.||We enjoyed driving through the local village each day, on our way to and from the historical sites, seeing the kids going to school and people going about their lives in everyday Egypt.||All in all, Al Moudira is a wonderful place to stay for relaxation and luxury, close to the sights of Luxor, while also getting out of the super touristy bubble and experiencing a bit of everyday Egypt.

It’s an oasis amongst the dust. Service it at the top of the list. They can not do enough for you. We had dinner very late. Albeit they asked us to preorder, the food was fresh, flavoursome, delicious. Dining here is a must. Sone of the best food we have eaten in Egypt. Then quirky. It’s definitely that! Huge garden. No wonder there is a map to get around. Beautiful embroidered linen. Interesting decor. Attractive pool. Sone rooms a bit dark. It has the vibe a Of a bygone era. ||What could make it perfect:|Few more signs to pool and restaurants. It’s dusty as the builders are in! I love rustic but it could be cleaner. Flies flies flies. It’s the beautiful gardens that attract them. Not for those unsteady under foot. Kettle in the room would be nice.
