Al Muallaa Cemetery ( جنة المعلة) is one of the most sacred places in Makkah. It is the resting place of our beloved Mother of the Believers, Khadeeja رضي الله عنها, the first wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Visiting this site fills the heart with deep reverence and reflection on her immense sacrifices and contributions to Islam. Those who are buried here are truly blessed, as it is hoped they will receive the Shafāʿah (intercession) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection. Among the notable personalities buried here is Syed Abdulrahman Bafaqi Thangal, the respected leader of the Indian Union Muslim League, who passed away while performing Hajj.
