I visited Al Nafoura at Le Meridien Jakarta and ordered the Beirut Banquet – a great way to sample a wide range of authentic Lebanese flavours. Food: The banquet was beautifully presented and generous in portions. We had a full spread of hot and cold mezze, including creamy hummus, moutabbal, fresh tabbouleh, falafel, sambousek, and more. The mixed grill was perfectly cooked – juicy, smoky, and tender. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and true to Lebanese taste. The baklava at the end was rich but not overly sweet. Service: The staff were welcoming and attentive. They explained each dish and made the whole dining experience feel special. Service was smooth and professional from start to finish. Atmosphere: Elegant, with traditional Middle Eastern décor, soft lighting, and a calm, classy vibe. Great for a special occasion or relaxed dinner. Value: The Beirut Banquet is on the higher end price-wise, but totally worth it for the quality, variety, and experience. Overall: A truly authentic Lebanese dining experience. The Beirut Banquet is a must-try if you want to taste a bit of everything. Fantastic food, warm hospitality, and a beautiful setting.

The food were incredibly good and delicious, every order from appetizers to main course to dessert were so delicious. We laughed so much and enjoyed our time to maximum celebrating our friend birthday. We reserved our table through the website and it was so easy. They followed up to confirm the booking. Chief all staff were so nice and friendly. It was the best arab food i tried internationally. (Note: we dined in at 8:30 pm so no belly dancer was there. It is better consider this as family.

Beautiful setting, but a disappointing experience overall. I debated whether to write this, but I think it’s important—for both potential diners and the restaurant’s management. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed. I wouldn’t mind the premium pricing if the quality, flavor, and portions reflected it—but they simply don’t. This restaurant has the opportunity to be something special, but right now, it falls flat. The atmosphere is genuinely nice. It’s a well-designed space that feels like it should host a great meal. Unfortunately, the food and service don’t rise to that level. The service is polite but inconsistent. For example, I was addressed by the wrong name despite making a reservation—an avoidable mistake that reflects a lack of attention to detail. As for the food: the shawarma sandwich can’t even compete with a low-grade Lebanese shawarma from a food stall in Bangkok, Bali, or Lebanon itself. The garlic sauce didn’t taste right—it lacked the bold, creamy punch it should have had. The lahme ajeen was completely off—not authentic, poorly seasoned, and frankly, unpleasant. The manakish uses the wrong cheese and ends up tasting nothing like it should. It all just feels like a caricature of Lebanese cuisine—something dressed up to look the part, but hollow and unconvincing underneath. I’m writing this as a sincere plea to the chef and management: take this seriously. Rethink the menu. Rethink the execution. Lebanese cuisine deserves better. Jakarta deserves better. This restaurant could be excellent—but right now, it’s all style and no substance.

As a passionate vegetarian always seeking vibrant flavorful fare, I found a new sanctuary for my palate at Al Nafoura Restaurant in Le Méridien Jakarta. Their extensive meatless menu spans the Middle East's most crave-worthy specialties from the sublime baba ganoush dip cradling smoky eggplants to the bright crunch of fattoush salad paired with the creamiest hummus in town. Every dish sings with fresh regional ingredients while service makes you feel like royalty in this east-meets-west oasis. The gracious staff guided my selections based on my taste preferences and even surprised me with custom-made creations like their spinach stuffed potato pastries in a saffron lemony broth. Their commitment to anticipating diners' individual needs permeates every moment. Along with the nurturing vegetarian cuisine prepared from the heart, Al Nafoura's lively Saturday Night Belly Dancing performances make it a can't miss local gem for a holistically joyful epicurean getaway. I cannot wait to return, glass of Lebanese wine in hand to toast this new sanctuary for the senses in Jakarta!

Restaurant reviews in 🇮🇩 can be misleading, with great reviews not always reflecting the actual quality of the food. However, this is not the case here. I visited based on a friend's recommendation and was thoroughly impressed. We ordered the cold meze, cheese pizza for the kids, Zatir naan (which was decent), and the seafood platter. The staff was very well-trained and attentive, and I had a food comma after the desert.
