In this recent visit we were disappointed with the overall experience. The resort is huge with a lot of greenery and equipped with lot of activities like swimming pool, tennis, cycling to name a few. Swimming pool was particularly dirty and lot of areas require a lot of maintenance. Staff specially Wajid was really helpful and quick to respond to queries. Cycles are charged a nominal fee but were missing after taken for rent. Food was really tasty though. If maintenance is done appropriately this is a very good resort for family crowd

We chose Al Nahda because we came from Jebel Shams and did not want to return to the capital right away and they offered a very good price online. As the photos looked nice, we decided to book. Oh boy were we surprised when we arrived at the gates of the resort. This place is huge! Just few examples - they give you a map so you could find your bungalow (and it still was not easy) and there are bicycles available on the property for reaching different parts of the resort. The check-in was smooth and the receptionist very welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant was closed for maintenance so they offered a breakfast in our chalet instead and this was perfect for us (preordering was very easy through Whatsapp). The food arrived right on time and they even added some small things in addition to what we ordered.||Our bungalow was actually not a bungalow but a full size house with an enormous bedroom/living room, kitchen, bathroom with an small pool inside (!) and a nice terrace in front of the house. The parking was also in front of the house but it could get quite tight if all the houses are full as the pathways inside the living areas are rather tight. As there were not many guests during our stay, we had all the space in the world. From all the services they offer there, we only used the huge pool area which was really nice. And having the nature photography as a hobby, the early morning just after the sunrise was like a paradise for me. So many different birds flying around and so many beautiful locations for trying to capture the photos!||All in all - a wonderful experience and Al Nahda definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, lodging much more that we expected and the general areas of the resort absolutely beautiful. So maximum points from me and I definitely recommend this place.

2022:It used to be a special property in the city, but unfortunately it's very sad to see the state it is in today. Not well maintained. Lack of staff, pool not cleaned, ** The children's playground is newly constructed. We love Al nadha resort.. 2019:This was my second visit to this resort. Very nice resort with large pool and huge gardens, with wonderful trees and flora. Breakfast was decent. The staff are lovely and eager to help. It's a family/children friendly resort. The distances are too long, and you need to pay 5 OR to book a cycle. It must be free of charge as we are residing at the resort. The dinner buffet was average and you need to pay extra for water. Lunch doesn't have buffet option . Bath tub is made from bricks lined with epoxy paint.

Do not come to this place,it’s basically an abandoned resort and all facilities are run down or not available.Gave one star as couldn’t find a way to give less.il trying to find a way to reach out to consumer protection as this place should be closed down .We booked last February and were asked to pay all in advance.Once we reached we were told lunch was not available and we should order via talabat, the suite family rooms were a total disaster..clogged sinks, dirty floors and rust everywhere,SPA is not operational, wild dogs running around the facility, buggies are not working, gardens a more mostly unattended and swimming pool has green water…this place used to be good and fun but it’s absolutely not anymore.Staff tries to do their best and feel sorry for them to have to work in such conditions. We were assured of a partial refund…still waiting for it from last February.Don’t waste your time and money !!

I booked this resort on 25th October 2023. I must say that it's a black spot on 5 star hotels. I visited it post covid19, and it was 1 of the finest top class resort. Coming back to the point, the receptionist is never on the seat. Restaurants have been shut down for 3 years. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. All places are covered with dust. Outdated furniture, and once i ordered the food through the delivery guy, he dropped the food at the reception, and the receptionist refused to send the food to the room.

Sheer bliss. I write this review while sipping on a cuppa tea, while witnessing the sunset at the end of the lush green lawns of Al Nahda. Property is adorned with various fruit trees and thick vegetation proving it to be more than an oasis and a great escape from Muscat and/or Barka's concrete jungles and sultry heat. Selection of beverages, live band, food and service make up for a great family and friends rendezvous.
