The reviews piqued our interest, but we were absolutely blown away by this place. So remote, so intimate, so amazing. |From the time we arrived by water taxi until we left a week later, we knew this experience would stay with us forever. |The food was outstanding. The staff was prepared to meet all of our needs. The accommodations were rustic but very comfortable!!|This is a place to renew your soul, make new friends and discover one of the best kept secrets of the Panamanian Caribbean Coast. |Thanks to our hosts Michele, Ishmael and Vincent for a truly special stay at Al Natural. We will return!

Amazing family adventure in a rustic eco-resort.||Review of Al Natural Resort||Pending reviewReviewed||Our family of 3 just returned from 10 day trip in Panama. We spent 5 nights at Al Natural Resort in the 3 bedroom Villa. The Villa could use some tweaks as it's starting to show it's age here and there but mostly was amazing. We especially enjoyed our very big long deck with two hammocks and the most gorgeous view out to the ocean. We had a great time, Michel, Ishmael and Vincent along with the other staff (Jacob our boating and snorkel guide) made this a very unique and special trip for our family. Michel is the most welcoming host and owner of this boutique eco resort. Michel is welcoming and friendly and helps to meet everyone's needs on the resort. He also helps to arrange all excursions. He eats every meal with the guests ( all meals are served family style and Vincent prepares the most amazing meals, with nothing prepared twice for lunch or dinner.)||Ishmael is there to help with any small matter, and is great while serving as our host at all meals, and double dutying as bartender. He is warm and friendly. Vincent as said earlier makes every meal and he really outdid him self with his desserts. He especially helped make our last night special with an Indian feast and a birthday cake for my husband's 50th along with another guests birthday as well. It made our ending even more memorable as they accomodated for all us guests staying up late and setting up the speakers (using a playlist from an iphone) to have a little dance party. Finally, Jacob was just amazing as a tour guide mostly as our snorkeling guide (definetly do this with him!).||Whil stayin at the resort we did several execursions including the cocoa farm, dolphin bay (twice and where we saw dophins both times!) Snorkeling (we loved it so much we did this twice- Jacob is a fantastic guide) the sloth tour in the mangroves and the local community tour. My husband also went surfing. Please note even though it rained all day on and off on our first day Michel still helped to plan the excursion to the cocoa farm, and on the way Jacob stopped in dolphin bay and helped play with the dolphins by going in circles so we could see the dolphins jump. So even when the weather is not ideal it is fun. That is the kind of place this is where you make new friends, eat like family and have fun adventures every day

Great spot in the middle of nowhere. The location is fabulous, sandy beaches, clear water, sloths and monkeys, jungle at your back. The service is impeccable. Ismael makes things happen while Vincent (a Belgian exile) cooks gorgeous meals. Meals are communal; people from all over the world (the place is tiny) sharing food and wine. The "natural houses" need some work here and there but the experience is well worth putting up with some minor inconveniences. If it were fresh and new it would spoil the vibe. Go here. Do it soon. Go before it changes.

This is one of those special spots! This was our third trip. The food is phenomenal. The location is phenomenal. The wildlife is phenomenal. The owners are beyond lovely. |(If you want a fussy resort this is not the place for you!!) If you want to have quiet peaceful days, enjoy watching your kids OFF all their devices, meet fascinating people from around the world, snorkel out to reefs, watch baby turtles hatch, eat great food, sup up and down the coast line, enjoy stunning sunsets from the dock, then you will be in HEAVEN here.|Meals are family style and are prepared by w needful Belgian chef. We have had some of our best nights in Panama around the table, laughing with other guests. It’s a truly unique and special vibe.

Absolutely stunning resort! Beautiful and private location on the waterfront with gorgeous views of the Caribbean, easy access to the crystal clear beach with plenty of activities in the area. The resort is located on the southern shore on the eastern side of the island so it’s sheltered, private, while offering the unique location of being able to see both the sunrises and sunsets! The rooms are well maintained, very comfortable with a balance of traditional Panamanian culture and modern amenities, all with beautiful views of the ocean. Some of the many amenities include (but not limited to) bug nets that keep out the pesky bugs, great restrooms, hot showers, and plenty of areas to lounge and take in the beautiful views of the natural area. Al Natural has a number of on-site activities such as board games, water sports, snorkeling, badminton, ping pong, hiking trails, and so much more. The resort is also well connected with the local village to provide authentic and sustainable adventures that include guided hikes, turtle hatching excursions, dolphin and bird watching, chocolate farms, and so much more. All of the Al Natural staff are very friendly, have a wealth of knowledge of the local flora and fauna, the area, and make for a very special experience. From Michel who oversees the entire operation and ensures your stay is exactly what you want, to Ishmael who runs the front of house and makes you feel like VIP, to Vincent who crafts beautiful Belgian dishes with French cuisine influences, to everyone else that’s a part of the Al Natural community, the staff members make Al Natural a must-visit destination for an unforgettable experience.

Al Natural Resort is my family's most cherished and beloved tradition. Our first trip was in 2004, when our kids were teenagers. We returned in 2014 and again in 2024. During those three 10-year snapshots in time, the attentive owner, Michel, and the capable chef, Vincent, managed to create a consistently magical environment. The food is spectacular and the opportunities to interact with the natural environment are limitless. As long as I live, I'll never forget the opportunity I was given to take a small boat to a nearby island to see over 100 newly-hatched Hawksbill sea turtles make their way across the beach and into the Caribbean Sea. I feel similarly grateful to have witnessed bioluminescence in the water on darkened nights. The Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinners are nothing short of events that I hope you won't miss out on. The food, wine, and decorations don't even seem possible on such a remote island, but they somehow manage to magically pull a rabbit out of a hat — time after time. This place really delivers. This combination of feeling pampered and also "roughing it" a little bit hits a sweet spot for me and my family. If I'm still traveling then, I hope to be back in 2034. It's not too late to make this special resort part of your family tradition.

A place to escape the stresses of everyday life and connect with nature. This is a mix of all inclusive resort and camping. ||After a 45min boat ride from the main town, we arrived in this tropical jungle paradise. Stayed in a 3br over the water bungalow which was located on a beautiful strip of beach. ||There are plenty of activities to keep your family busy. Swimming, kayaking, animal sightings (monkeys, birds, sea life)……we came with our teenager and never heard “I’m bored”! The excursions offered are a great value and excellent use of your time. I especially enjoyed snorkeling at Coral Cay, specifically around the mangrove island. I have never seen such a unique ecosystem of soft corals, plants, and fish. A hiking tour of the Salty Cay Villiage included a sloth river tour, cayman trail, and red frogs. We got to see how the villagers live and learn from local tour guides. Seeing baby turtles leave the nest is absolutely amazing. ||Three meals a day are included and really a highlight of our stay. The food was excellent, really 5* meals. So fresh and delicious. Family style seating meant making new like minded friends from around the world. ||Ishmael is an absolute legend-from booking tours to serving meals, he knows how to get things done. ||It’s all open air, so prepare yourself with bug spray, appropriate clothing, and an adventurous outlook! Some bungalows have ceiling fans and others don’t. If I could do it again, I’d make sure mine had a ceiling fan and I’d bring more individual battery charged fans for sleeping. Everything in the bungalow was kept as clean as possible in an open air environment, but make no mistake, this is the jungle experience not a luxury hotel.

We spent the most relaxing 7 days vacation during the winter holiday break at Al Natural resort. It’s our second time coming, we love it so much!! Michel and Vincent are so welcoming and kind. The staff is amazing!! Thank you Ismael, Jacob, Yan Carlos, Demetrio, Brenda, German and all the wonderful ladies at the kitchen and everyone working there!!! My daughter absolutely loved Dulce, the dog at the property. They played together every day and my daughter looked forward every day to interact with her. We enjoyed the food, beautiful apartment and excursions very much!! It was like living in paradise!!! We can’t wait to come back for our next vacations!! We also got to meet so many wonderful people who were guests at the hotel and enjoyed wonderful meals with them!! The Christmas party Michel and Vincent organized for us was fantastic, they even got fireworks for us!!! What a treat!! Thank you!!!
