Immediately, staff was SO kind. I really appreciate the friendliness, especially since it does not always come being American here. To follow, service was great. Very attentive. Not to mention — out of all of the meals I have had this vacation, this was the meal of the trip worth writing to home about. EVERYTHING came out so hot and fresh and cooked to pure perfection. I wish I could come back every night - Dessert was also amazing. I usually never go out of my way to leave reviews, but this place really deserves it

An absolute must in Orvieto! Delicious and fairly priced. We had the tagliatelli ai tartufo and tortelloni di chianina as primi. Especially the latter is excellent - the beef and parmiggiano with truffle are perfectly balanced flavours. We had the suckling pig and roasted lamb as secondi. The lamb was delicious - but the pig was simply delectable. Looks like porchetta, but it's much more flavourful and tender. The service is excellent - the hostess sisters are attentive and very enthousiastic (we didn't even feel bad about getting turned down our first attempt to get seats! - à propos, reservations are recommended).

This little restaurant is an absolute gem! We dined here twice and the food on both occasions was amazing! We had wonderfully delicious steak, lamb chops, chickpea and spelt soup, pecorino and foccacia! Service was warm and genial and portions were hearty. Our only regret was having to leave Orvieto for Rome and not being able to enjoy another meal here!

Wonderful restaurant!! Staff are so friendly, very welcoming, helpful and very attentive. I ordered carbonara with bacon, it came out so fresh, warm, creamy, and fresh pasta! Wine is also so good to go with. The price is reasonable for high quality meal! Thank you for a wonderful experience in the heart of Orvieto!!

Recommended by our accommodation hosts, dinner here with my lovely did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. Hand rolled spaghetti carbonara (Umbrichelli all carbonara) was an other worldly experience and the low profile crème brûlée (Crema Catalana) was one of the best I have ever had. Definitely recommend.

A wonderful and cozy family-owned gem! We had such a great time at Al Pozzo Etrusco di Fabrizio Grilli. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were served by the owner’s lovely daughters, who made us feel right at home. The food was delicious – every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The crème brûlée was especially tasty, and to top it off, they spoiled us with generous glasses of wine. A perfect place to enjoy a relaxing, family-style meal with a touch of local charm. Highly recommended!

This was one of our favorite meals in Italy! Everything was delicious, every detail thought of, the side dishes and veges were as good as the main meals. The pistachio umbrichelli was amazing and unlike anything I’ve had before. Also amazing service, very friendly staff, cannot fault this place!

Absolutely great experience with the food, and service. We had grilled lamb, absolutely delicious. We also ordered pork which comes with skin, a taste that is unforgettable! (Picture is attached) Service is welcoming. Recommended!

Ate a multi course meal here with my 9 year old and wife. Wines were fairly priced, food was great and the server was very nice. We'd go again

My family stumbled on this restaurant while wandering through quaint af Orvieto. Our meal was the best seated lunch we had all trip (10 days in Rome, Rapallo, Lucca). There were local wines that paired perfectly with our meal. Flavors paired with local mushrooms were rich & buttery, yet light. I'm a fan of a salad & the side mista salads did not disappoint. The interior of the restaurant felt very home-y -- like extended family pulling up for a meal. 11/10 recommend weaving your way through the streets to find this hidden gem!

Excelent spot for meal in Orvieto. The room is Modern and inviting and the service is point. We tried the assorted. It in concluded eggplant, red pepper, chicken liver pate, olive oil and tomato all were ex excellent. The pork medallions I had were great as was the tiramisu. The house wine a 5 Euros for .5 liter was excellent value. Iest here and you won't be disappointed

It's like a place run by a family. And it's great. Quality food and pretty good service from the teenage female. Recommend.

You can do better in Orvieto than this place. It's just okay. The service is very good and the restaurant is easy to locate but the food mediocre. Clean. English menu. Good wine. I'm a foodie though and this doesn't ring my bell. Uninspiring with great service.

We were unhappy with our previous meal in Orvieto, so we asked our hotel concierge to recommend a spot. We said we'd pay any price, but it was our last meal in the city, and we wanted it to be a good one. He sent us here. We'd seen it was packed every night, but it was steps from the hotel, so we had for some reason dismissed it. Holy. Moly. I won't remember the exact dishes, but we got a baked local cheese with truffle--EYE ROLLING--and a super tender tortelloni in an asparagus cream sauce to start... We practically licked the plates. Then the duck breast and wild boar for secondi... The duck was great (nice sauce), but the boar dish literally tasted like Christmas smells. I don't know how else to put it. So yummy! We finished with a chantilly cream sauce on pastry with raspberry. Perfect--light and delicate but a sweet finish to the meal. The price was totally reasonable for the quality, and the staff was extraordinarily gracious, even though we had our 10-month-old with us. She loved the food too, by the way! I couldn't recommend it more highly. Go go go!

Delicious, family run restaurant. Great service. Couldn't have asked for anything better during our quick stop in Orvieto. Came highly recommended from a local. Everything was absolutely delicious!!

Superb service. Delicious truffle tortellini. Zucchini flower appetizer was very good. Pork w/ tomato sauce was good, but needed something more--a strong herb, a strong cheese, or a spice. After a month in Rome, we especially enjoyed the service here. E.g., the waiter brought several bottles of rum to our table and poured small samples to help us decide on one as an after-dinner drink.

During our short visit to Orvieto, we had many wonderful meals, but Al Pozzo Etrusco was by far the best. The location was in a quieter part of town and had a wonderful outside patio. The service was spectacular, a very welcoming experience! And the food- so so amazing! We started with beef carpaccio which was a flavor explosion and a very large serving fit for 2. We then had tortoli stuffed with carbonara and bacon and the beef strips and onion. For desert, the lava cake which was superb. The beef carpaccio is not to be missed and definitely worth the visit.

Wonderful welcoming and service. We started with a mix of cold and warm specialties. All of us appreciated vey much. Delicious. Tortellini with truffle was to die for. I would not hesitate to take a dessert as well. The alternative tiramisu with hot chocolate was a delight for the tongue

This restaurant is amazing! I have eaten there 2 nights in a row, I just can't imagine finding a better dinner here in Orvieto. Giovanni is so nice and everyone who works there is helpful and kind and welcoming! Outstanding Italian food and excellent service - PERFETTO! I just ask Giovanni what he recommends and he always suggest something incredible. OTTIMO! Grazie Tutti al Pozzo Etrusco!

The welcome was warm. Most of the other diners on this evening were American. Our two pasta dishes - tagliatelle with ragu of hare and ravioli (mezze lune) with pesto- were excellent, especially the ravioli. Both of the second courses were also delicious, especially the duck breast in a wine reduction.

Beautiful restaurant & excellent service! I couldn't imagine the combination of risotto, artichokes & ginger but wow! Chicory for second, delicious!

This was our favorite dining experience in Orvieto. Loved the feel and decor of the place and the food was exceptional. I started with the zucchini flan with stuffed squash blossoms, and then had the sliced steak with pears... My husband had the pistachio encrusted filet, which was amazing. The wine list was extensive and reasonable. We had the Ebo 2011 Toscano Petra. Loved it. The service was attentive and warm and I've never had a sommelier prep our wine glasses the way the proprietor did. Five stars for Pozzo Etrusco for sure. Don't miss it.

After two week in Italy eating at many fabulous places I can confidently say this was the BEST meal we had of anywhere we went. Our lunch was divine, the presentation was stunning and flavors were fresh and delicious. We also loved our wine and thought the friendly amazing service was truly superb. I want to make a special trip back to Orvieto just to go back! I am dreaming of passionfruit panna cotta!!! Thank you thank you!!
