The tuna carpaccio was excellent - restrained and subtle. The culurgiones were delicate. The lamb perfectly cooked. The cheese dish was tasty. Recommended for solo diners/travelers

Everything excellent. We ordered Fiorentina, was 1 kg and very good portion for 2. Great selection of wines, great ambience. Maybe the first order could have been taken faster but it’s ok. The experience was pleasant. Great quality of food.

The best restaurant we found in Alghero. We had 4 meals here (3 dinners, 1 lunch) and everything we tried was very good. I loved most the beef with grilled vegetables and the octopus with potatoes. Also, the white mousse with strawberries is amazing. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is excellent. Don't miss this restaurant if you visit Alghero! ☺️

It was a Friday night and in fact our last night at Alghero, we had planned to go to another restaurant, which was unfortunately full so we started walking around looking for something when we came across a cute little area with individual boots and fairy lights right on the street, Al Refettorio. Unfortunately again it was full, but the staff was really friendly and offered to seat us at the bar for a drink until a table is free. It’s what we did and it was so worth it. The food was incredible and we discovered our new favourite cheeses! TLDR, great food, great staff, I recommend it for a romantic date 😉

We visited this place last year and everything was perfect. I’ve tasted the best food I’ve ever eaten here. This year we came back, and we have mixed feelings. The first time we came, we were really disappointed in the food, we came back and ordered the same meals, which were significantly better that day (different chef?). For the price I’d expect consistency. As for the service, I am always very happy with the staff. It has a great atmosphere but I recommend making a reservation, because after 8pm there is no chance of finding a spot unless you wait for one. One star is taken off due to lack of consistency in the meals we experienced the first day. I absolutely recommend to come to this place at least for a starter once and a drink. Thank you refettorio for yet another culinary experience and we will come back next year!

We had a wonderful evening at Al Refettorio. It’s a biggish restaurant with a lot going on. On a warm spring evening, we were happy to be seated in the alley. We shared some Baccalà, a delicious truffle pasta and a great steak with the most wonderful potatoes. The waiter recommended an affordable and tasty bottle of wine from the area. It all came in at 100 euros. The staff were very friendly and attentive!
