This was our fourth and last dinner in Bologna, on a Saturday night. It was a good idea to book as they turned a good few tables away after we sat down. A lovely couple run this place and while they were busy, service was very welcoming. We only ordered mains as we eaten lunch earlier that day. I had the Cotoletta alla Bolognese and it was delicious. My friends main courses were just as good. We also ordered rosemary potatoes and a mixed salad on the side. I had cantucci biscuits with a glass of sweet wine and espresso to finish. My friends both wanted white wine so we tried aBottle of local white which was good. I would highly taste the food and service we received here. It's down a small side street and easy to find.

Started off our Italian trip in Bologna at Al Sangiovese. What a meal! We started off with their mortadella platter with a fig compote and a type of strecchino cheese. To die for. We ordered the strozzapreti del passatore pasta, again OMG! The porcini and prosciutto blended together so well.. and the scaloppina alla suprema was delish as well.

An incredibly delightful experience! Great service and really yummy pasta. Their green lasagna is delicious but their vegetable pie stole the show. Just a little too warm in the restaurant to feel fully comfortable.

The best experience. They cater to every preference or wish, they even added a birthday candle to my dessert after finding out it’s my birthday. Also, excellent home made food and friendliest service. Do get a reservation because it was full.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet, a short walk from the city center, and the owners were wonderful hosts. They offer an impressive selection of local wines. We had the ragù, tortellini in brodo (handmade by a local pasta shop), and the truffle risotto, which was topped with an exceptionally generous amount of truffles. Everything was delicious.

Best restaurant in Bologna, hands down. Had the most delicious lasagna of my life, and the incredible chocolate cake for dessert. Very welcoming staff, cozy ambiance, overall 10/10!

Super delicious. Very friendly staff, incredibly welcoming hostess! The lasagna was typical and the tortellini were hand made and on point. Loved it. Coming back again!

Cozy restaurant and lovely server. Food was well portioned (not overly abundant) and delicious, especially the lasagna. We also had the piselletti al brodo and cotoletta with some sides. And of course the chilled Lambrusco wine was a great accompaniment.
