Al Seef is popular among Emirati families, expats, and international visitors. Did it meet expectations? This relatively new urban development has been welcomed by both residents and tourists alike. To wander along the creek is to experience one of the oldest parts of the city, and that alone offers valuable insight into how the Dubai we know today came to be. Deira, the city’s main commercial district, is just a short abra (traditional water taxi) ride away, and the Al Fahidi Historical District not too far down the road.
