Showcasing the art that’s at Ala Moana Mall that is a hidden treasure. Most people walk right by as busy with their shopping but I would recommend you take the time to admire the art as it makes the mall special. The art is often surrounded by water, fitting given that Hawaii is an island but it also helps set off the art and keeps it safe. My favorite is the Yayoi Kusama pumpkin. The Mall itself has lots of great stores that offer unique gifts in addition to the anchor stores of Macys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Target and Neiman Marcus. 2 Food Courts with a very large one on the ground floor that is a great and inexpensive way to try different local foods. Also sit down restaurants such as Morton’s and California Pizza and Jade Dynasty. A Liliha Bakery in Macys, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus and Ruscello at Nordstrom. You can easily spend a full day at the Mall!

A bustling shopping center and apparently the largest outdoor mall in the world! There is so much to explore here from sweets to luxury to anything you can think of. You can definitely spend all day in here, so come with a fully stocked wallet!

Amazing open-air shopping mall in the heart of Honolulu! It’s huge, beautifully designed, and full of tropical plants and ocean breeze. You can find everything here — luxury boutiques, local Hawaiian brands, and great cafés like eBar inside Nordstrom. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, with both tourists and locals relaxing around. There’s live music, plenty of restaurants, and it’s spotlessly clean. Perfect place to shop, eat, and unwind under the Hawaiian sun.

This mall is incredible! There is every store you can imagine and some we never even heard of! There are four (4) floors and it is an open-air mall so you are walking around outside, which is different, but nice. All of the stores we went into were nice and clean. The employees everywhere were very helpful. We went for the Lego store, but we ended up spending hours here after seeing all there was to look at. This is definitely a great way to spend a day. We would visit here again.

After attending the Honolulu Marathon Expo at the Hawaii Convention Centre around the corner, I found my way gravitating towards Ala Moana Centre. As it was dark already, I didn't realise it was an open area shopping centre, I just thought it was dark low level lighting to add to the ambience. This place is massive, so many stores to choose from. It was December when I visited so Christmas was in full swing, including on the Centre Stage with Carols. The Food Court was massive with plenty of choices. Easy to walk as well, a pleasant walk back to Kuhio Avenue from Ala Moana Centre.

Wow, this place is large. I love the open air roof line. Being Gen X sometimes feels like living in the perfect in-between. We grew up in an era where the mall was the social center of the universe — a place to meet friends, grab a slice, wander record stores, and maybe spend a little too much time in the arcade. And while the world has shifted to two-day shipping, instant downloads, and virtual everything, there’s still something comforting — almost grounding — about being able to walk around a mall today. There’s a special kind of appreciation that comes from remembering life before everything was online. Browsing a shelf instead of an algorithm’s suggestion, feeling the weight of a book or a piece of clothing before buying it, or just people-watching with a coffee in hand — it all carries a certain nostalgia that online shopping can’t replace. Being Gen X means enjoying the convenience of the digital world without losing the value of the physical one. We can shop online with the best of them, but we still know the quiet satisfaction of strolling through a mall just because we can. It’s a reminder of where we came from — and a little proof that not everything worth experiencing fits neatly into a shipping box.

Opening hours are 10 am to 8 pm Free parking on 9 floors. Very nice open air mall with 350 stores. Many designers, Bloomingdale’s, macys, Neumann Marcus, target, Nordstrom, foodland, Barnes and noble… Very large and nice food court with lots of choices.

Wonderful outdoor mall with super convenient shopping experience and great location only 10 minutes' drive from Waikiki. I can say that the mall has everything we need, plenty of parking and easy access to another floors and stores.

Yelp
What's not to lava? At 2,270,186 square feet, Ala Moana is thee largest open-air shopping center in the world! What makes it a five-star mall is the free parking, 95% occupancy, million dollar art installations (including a Yayoi Kusama pumpkin), koi ponds, comfy seating area outside the bathrooms, the biggest food court I've ever seen, and a centerstage giving 800 performances a year. Because of its iconic mid-century modern architecture and lush tropical landscaping, Ala Moana has been a frequent backdrop for Hollywood, including both the original and reboots of Hawaii Five-O and Magnum PI, plus White Lotus and LOST. Scenes include Hurley eating three pizzas, multiple close-ups of eyeballs, and Jin mistaking the cat cafe for the food court. Just kidding: just flashbacks of Jin in the Shirojiya store, posing as South Korea (S1:E17). Elvis even appeared there shortly after its 1959 opening. He didn't sing, but if he did, an appropriate mall playlist could have included: Don't Be Kohl's, All Shake Shack Up, (Let Me Be Your) Build-a-Bear, Heartbreak Hot-topic, and A Little Less Conversation (A Little More Gamestop).

Yelp
This is my favorite center to go to in Waikiki. the Foodland Farms is exceptional and the bext place to get your poke and all other snacks and meals before hitting the beach and streets of Waikiki. I love going to other restaurants including Liliha Bakery and Signature for happy hour. Especially Wednesday happy hour with the piano guy. Marshalls is fun although Ross is now my favorite go-to for Hawaii themed items before i go back home

Yelp
Ala Moana Center is an outdoor shopping mall in the Waikiki area of Oahu. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists with four levels and free parking. They have a variety of shops (from local to casual to upscale), grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and a food court. There are multiple grocery stores including the popular Foodland Farms offering a wide variety of fresh poke and sushi. In the middle of the common area there's a stage for live music and the occasional hula show. This open-air mall is spacious with a lot of variety for everyone.

Yelp
Ala Moana holds a special place in my memories. As a prior reviewer wrote, I also took the bus to the center when I was a child. It has kept up with the times. They have a great selection of stores. Where else can you buy a designer bag, then go to Longs and get some li hing mango? There are many dining options and entertainment too.

Yelp
Neiman Marcus Sisley Beauty Presentations were educational and fun! See Monica and the Beauty team to create a routine that meets your personal needs! Check out the selection of new products and the tried and true ones! Worth every penny;) And enjoy your beautiful skin and hair!

Yelp
Huge mostly outdoor mall that has all of the top brands plus local stores. There is a large food court on the first floor. Good place to go if you want some shopping or to beat the heat.

Yelp
This is one massive outdoor mall. Located at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, you could literally get lost without even trying. The good news for the directionally challenged, like myself, is even if you're trying to find your way back to your starting point, you will likely stumble upon a shop that you weren't looking for but interests you enough to walk right in. They do have plenty of high end shops if that is your thing also. Food shops are strewn throughout the three floors. Being an outdoor mall of this size has its benefits but the one drawback is weather can put a damper on your shop till you drop outing. Parking seems plentiful and there are easy rideshare pickup and drop off spots.

Yelp
I have been here so many times over the years, it's finally time a drop some love for the Ala Moana Center. I always visit when here I'm in the Waikiki area, which is about a 10 minute drive to get here. This mall is massive and has pretty much all of the designer, high end shops and useful shops you may be looking for. You can get your steps in by just browsing from store to store and level to level. Like I said, this place is huge and you could spend most all day here, of course if you're a shopper like me. I like how it is outdoors but also has plenty of shaded areas. It can get hot here. Generally, the mall is well kept up and clean all around. This is a no brainer to recommend first if you're looking to do some shopping, all in one mall.

Yelp
Free parking (huge plus) and free daily hula show at 5pm! It's a nice outdoor mall with a weird layout though. Like it has lots of random parts that branch off. They have all the overpriced bougie stores in the main walkway, but it you go towards the sides you'll find stores with more affordable prices.

Yelp
If Valley Fair took a tropical vacation, it'd look a lot like Ala Moana Center. This outdoor mall is clean, vibrant, and full of island charm with palm trees, ocean breezes, and a great mix of shops. You've got everything from Nordstrom and Macy's to Ross, Old Navy, Coach, Target, Foodland, and yes, an ABC Store. There's something for everyone, whether you're after high-end or budget finds. The food court is massive, with local and international favorites. Jamba Juice, Raising Cane's, Happy Lemon, Jollibee, Sbarro, and a wide range of Asian eats make it a foodie paradise. One of my favorite places to explore in Honolulu. Great for shopping, snacking, and soaking up the vibe.

Yelp
This outdoor shopping center has been a nostalgic place for me growing up because when my father was stationed here in Oahu - My mom would take me and my siblings here with riding The Bus and spend some time here. My mom at the time in the beginning of my dad being stationed here she was a SAHM for 4 kids. So she had plenty of time to take her kids around and sight see Hawaii. So riding the bus here we would take the bus and and sight see the mall and she introduced us to Panda Express at the food court at the time. So eating Panda Express was also nostalgic for me. Growing up this mall was a huge outdoor shopping center. Its a beautiful shopping center. It has many stores and food places and a huge food court. They also have a stage where hula dancers or polynesian dancers perform. This is located on the ground level. This is entertaining because it showcases polynesian and hawaiian culture well. Seating is limited here when dancers do perform. So come early to get good seating or you will end up standing watching performers perform. So back to the recent visit - This mall expanded and is BIGGER. They have more than 1 food court and added more stores and restaurants. They added residential condominiums above level and from what I was informed - These condos are about $2 million each unit I guess depending on what type of condo you have. Since its an outdoor shopping mall - Of course temps matter when you stroll. But this day the weather was not that bad - It was tolerable. The parking garage surrounding this mall is huge and spread out you can get easily lost - So just be mindful. Across the street is the Ala Moana park. This park is one of the good choices to watch Friday night Fireworks. A few homeless stay there at that park as well. This mall is pretty busy especially for tourists, You may notice they offer a good amount of Japanese stores in here - Hawaii has a lot of Japanese residents and also businesses that are owned by Japanese. The food court here carry a large variety of options. The prices can vary from being cheap to pricey - Remember you are in Hawaii. I have good fond memories with my mom taking us here buying us panda express and Ice cream cones. We didn't really shop much here. Her taking us here with The Bus gave me great appreciation of using public transportation and also being grateful that just a simple trip to a shopping mall can create fond memories as a child.

Yelp
Really nice mall. It has plenty of food options. Additionally, they have hula dance throughout the week for free. The only thing that got to my nerves was the parking area. It was kind of messy.

Yelp
Big shopping centre with lots of designer shops. Hard to navigate as no map was available to locate unless you were fortunate to grab a paper one.

Yelp
Nice outdoor mall. It is huge. My sisters and I came here during our visit in Hawaii. When we travel, we like to checkout at least one mall. Lots of different shops and a huge food court. There were live performances while we were there. This is also a supermarket by the parking garage. Parking is free.

Yelp
I absolutely love Ala Moana Center! Fun fact: it's the world's largest open-air shopping center, and with over 350 shops, it really has something for everyone. Whether you're a dedicated shopper or just looking for a fun day out, this place won't disappoint. Over the years, I've come to appreciate not only the shopping but also the extra touches that make Ala Moana so unique. There are two food courts--one on the ground level and a smaller one near Macy's on the second level--both offering a fantastic array of options. On the ground floor, you can grab everything from fast food and pizza to Asian cuisine, smoothies, and even healthy alternatives. I love wandering around and sometimes even snag a sample from one of the food vendors! What really sets Ala Moana apart, though, is the experience. There are koi ponds, photo ops, and even an arcade area to keep you entertained. They host in-store demos, classes, and a variety of live performances on the center stage, which always adds an exciting vibe to the atmosphere. The mall is organized into three levels that cater to different tastes. For instance, I find the ground level perfect for souvenir shopping and enjoying the food court (plus there's a Foodlands right there for everyday needs). The second level is home to higher-end and luxury stores like Lululemon and the Apple Store, while the third level is geared toward a younger crowd with shops like Windsor, PacSun, and Abercrombie & Fitch, along with some great late-night dining options like Lucky Strike and Buffalo Wild Wings. There's even a Target on site! One of my favorite things is how the space blends indoor comfort with an outdoor feel--local music, lush palm trees, and that open-air design really create a relaxed, inviting ambiance. And parking? They've got a huge multi-level garage surrounding the center, so even during busy times, you usually find a spot. But the best part of all? The staff. Every store I've visited has had friendly, reliable customer service that makes you feel truly welcome--it's like a little slice of paradise in the middle of Honolulu. Rain or shine it's a great destination to check out. Whether you're shopping till you drop or just enjoying a leisurely day out, Ala Moana Center is a must-visit destination.

Yelp
Wonderful outdoor mall with super convenient shopping experience and great location only 10 minutes' drive from Waikiki. I can say that the mall has everything we need, plenty of parking and easy access to another floors and stores.

Yelp
I find Ala Moana Center a pretty safe location to go walking. But please do not walk here too early in the morning or one hour after the stores close. There are three or more levels to walk. The street level is safe during daylight hours. The mall level has more foot traffic so it's pretty safe to walk here during store hours. The top level is designed a bit awkward for walking as there are many bends and curves on the top level. Usually there are quite a few people, elders, retirees, young ones and employees on the mall level. Lower levels are okay but go with a walking buddy. Lots of window shopping and if you need a quick cool down, walk into a store. Pick up a beverage or snack at one of the many food courts. Many public and store restrooms are available at AMC. Keep on walking everyone. Just do it safely.

Yelp
Ala Moana Center is the largest open air outdoor shopping mall! When I was younger, I never saw the attraction to coming here. But, as I got older, I learned to appreciate and understood why so many people like to shop here! This mall has 4 levels of shops, restaurants, etc. It's a great place to bring your family or meet up with friends and spend a day here. They are anchored by some big brands here like "Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Marshalls, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Ross Dress for Less, Saks Off 5th, and Target".
google avatar

Yelp
This mall is hella big. It has just about every store you need. There are also many, many restaurants in addition to their food court. Parking is free also. We always try to visit this mall at least once when we visit Oahu because there are always new restaurants here. There are luxury stores (not my style) but there are affordable stores too (like Uniqlo and Target, lol).

Yelp
Ala Moana Center is one of the largest malls around in North America, and it certainly stands up to that billing. It's located away from the Waikiki area, and will require driving or an uber to get to this location. It's a very large open air shopping mall, which you can't even see the end of the mall from one side to the other, so that just gives you an idea of how big this mall really is. It's large enough that the two different sides of this mall, each side is probably still larger than most malls you've been to. There's a variety of things here, from various food courts located within on both ends of this mall, to the wide variety of shopping options from clothing, to fun stuff, to random leisure spots around, it's got basically everything besides a beach that is. There are two floors, kind of, for this mall. Some areas of this mall have two floors of shopping, while the other parts are just the parking areas mostly, or smaller store fronts that are just on the outside with random shops here and there. The driving and parking here however is, chaotic, slow, and frustrating. For a shopping mall this large I feel one could have done a better job designing how the traffic flows here, but it is what it is. Parking here also is not easy during peak times, and you maybe circling around for awhile before you find a spot. But the open air shopping is really what makes this a fun shopping experience, especially since this place basically has everything you want from a mall, even an escape room! I would definitely pay a visit here, especially if you have no other particular plans, to come down to Ala Moana Center for some shopping, food, and fun.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know who's responsibility it is but Ala Moana Shopping Center needs to make it safer for shoppers to roam around without having to worry about their surroundings. I'm talking specifically about the Piikoi area by Foodland and Nordstrom. There are people there daily drinking alcohol, doing drugs and being very rowdy. They use the bushes along the Nordstrom wall as their personal bathroom and it's really starting to smell bad. They also sleep by the bike racks right in front of Foodland and leave all their garbage on the floor and in Foodland shopping carts. Come on Ala Moana SC management. Let's take more pride of the mall and clean up this unsightly mess.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
If you have some time or want to get some shopping done in Honolulu, this is the place to do it. Ala Moana Center has it all and then some! Over the years I have finally completed the enter mall only to discover the new Target followed by a trip to the Lanai. Always a good time and a short trip to the beach too. Remember to check out the businesses on the outskirts too like Fitted, Tattoo Hawaii and Teapresso!

Yelp
We walked 3 miles today to this huge monstrosity of a mall called Ala Moana. This sucker is a four story mall that is 3-4 city blocks long and wide. It boasts OVER 350 shops! So, the attraction here was this huge mall itself. The food court alone covered the area of at least a football field. This cavernous feeling establishment just blew us away, there was simply not enough time to even explore just the first floor here. Over 350 shops, trying to wrap my head around that. It turns out that this is the eighth largest shopping mall in the US.... There are larger ones? Woof... We stopped in at a small shop called Teapresso. Highly caffeinated delicious cold drinks! After walking three miles in the Honolulu heat, this was the break we needed to cool off, rehydrate and get ramped up on some caffeine. All the shops we did visit were very welcoming with many handing out free samples of chocolates, biscuits and other tasty items.

Yelp
Cute little open-ceiling mall in Ala Moana, conveniently splat right next to our hotel. My friend and I did struggle to get in, especially since the place is wrapped in a maze of parking lots and it's huge. Without a car, navigating your way inside as a tourist can be a bit of a hike. One star off for that. Definitely way more convenient if you're driving. Once inside, though, it's pretty impressive. You've got your luxury heavy-hitters like Tesla mixed in with regular mall staples. True to standard mall form, there's a food court -- but this one feels a little elevated (maybe that's just Hawaii flexing). We found some gems, like Musubi Cafe. I internally screamed when I saw the menu. Tons of seating and it wasn't too crowded either time we visited. Bonus: restrooms are tucked in the corner of the food court and easy to find. Outside the mall, though, things were a little sketchier. There were some individuals experiencing homelessness in the parking lot area. The air smelled kind of off in certain spots, and we had a couple unsettling encounters -- one man kept biking in circles nearby, and another older woman stood silently, visibly shaking. Nothing happened, but it definitely gave us pause and made the entrance feel less safe and welcoming. Also, one time I wandered down an elevator thinking it was the exit. Ended up in a series of ancient, dim hallways with exit signs pointing in different directions. The more I walked, the more hallways there were with no visible exit -- very much "turn around before this becomes a horror game" vibes.

Yelp
3:30pm Monday Found parking near Auntie Anne's pretzels, very quickly. Guest services is located ground floor under the excalators /stairs, mauka of Makai Market. Use the auto door opener with the back of your hand. Touch nothing when conducting transaction. Purchased a $200 gift card for $205. The $5 is a service fee. Ala Moana gift cards are good for 8 years. Each gift card comes with a card information pamphlet. (The card is an Amex gift card.) Guest services offers complimentary gift wrapping of up to 3 items/day. Items must be purchased same day. Staff are very friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.

Yelp
I grew up with this mall. I come to this mall practically every single day as I live 2 blocks away. I was even in an Alamoana commercial as a child. I just have one question: what is up with the overhead music? it used to be very contemporary Hawaiian very welcoming and the volume at a comfortable level. Now it is some sort of reggae and the volume is painfully loud, makes it impossible to hold conversations and people who have tinnitus actually experience pain when volumes are this level. Who can we talk to get something done?
google avatar

Yelp
Ala Moana is the best place to go to when living in Honolulu... the biggest outdoor mall in the US and also has the most foot traffic of all malls in the US by far. Lots of parking available if you know where to look. Many fond memories of spending my free time here!

Yelp
When in Waikiki, go shopping right? I mean, if that's what you're into, sure why not! I'm not anymore lol. This mall reminded me of Fashion Island in Newport Beach or cruising around Fashion Valley in San Diego. A pleasant open-air breathable mall! It's your glamorous mall to say the least. You can probably find whatever it is you're looking for here. Everything from A to Z. Lavish designer things to Old Navy lol. What I didn't expect was seeing our US post office and a small shop selling stones and crystals. Loved Lupicia for teas, and the ukulele, and Yeti store as well! Don't get me wrong, I dig here, but mainly because of the walking aspect of it all. And the little koi ponds. I also noticed the place was pet friendly, another plus in my book. As others have mentioned, this mall is really really ginormous. I mean, you can walk around and window shop for hours on in. Or you can walk from floor to floor to get your stairs and steps in. It took us a few hours to get through the whole place, but we did it. You can even chill at the food court, and just people watch the herds of cattle waiting in line. If anything, the food court was definitely the busiest area. In a nutshell, this place already has a name for itself over the years, so I'm just gonna give three stars. It's lovely here, but I'm not gonna say I love it here. Besides, my review is just a drop in the bucket.

Yelp
It's Yuge! [Honolulu HI] We stayed at the Ala Moana Hotel Mantra which has a connecting bridge to the mall via Macy's. We had to go through the parking lot but didn't have to walk on the street which was nice. We looked for food... it was our first evening in Oʻahu and the 3-hr time difference had our eating schedule off. We ended up at the LANAI Food Hall inside Ala Moana on the side of Mall Level 2. After dinner we walked around until the mall closed. We found ourselves at an ABC Store on the street level near Centerstage. Unfortunately, we were not able to return for another visit because we were out and about during their business hours which was from 10:00a to 8:00p. Total mall time during our vacay: 1 hour and 15 mins. I am not a mall person but the Ala Moana Center is worth visiting. The last time I visited this mall was when I lived in Oʻahu during the late 70's... as a teen the mall to me was already huge... this last visit Ala Moana became even more YUGE! Review #3589

Yelp
As a SF resident who is 'a shopper through and through'.... this is a great mall. In the past I would have rated 4 stars, but with the max exodus occurring in my home area....I truly appreciate the variety & quality of the stores offered. This mall is huge. It's layers of levels, I'd say like an octopus with the food court middle. There is lots of parking, but can be a bit confusing. I spent most of a day there and still didn't see it all. It's funny because I didn't think I was getting too adventurous, but I did get a bit lost. When I went to the information desk, they dusky know either, but they were very nice and suggested other people to ask. Anyway, it was a good shopping day, in the heat, with icee treats throughout the mall. À few entertainment spots, many Japanese stores (love them..orderly, clean & helpful), all the name brand designers, a few misc personal stores, bowling, arcade, etc. Overall, great mall... with a slightly challenging parking.

Yelp
The Ala Moana Center is an outdoor mall that has a great selection of stores, with a great mix-in of high-end designers! You'll be bound to find something if you're looking to purchase, as they have such a good variety. The place is beautifully arranged, and there are also restaurants, cafes, as well as vendors/stand throughout. Plenty of parking in the large garage as well. +great selection of high-end designer stores +outdoor mall +plenty of parking

Yelp
Ala Moana center has drastically changed since its beginning, it was once a simple mall and lots of places to shop. Now it is like a super mall with lots of new restaurants and stores to choose from. You can even test drive a Tesla while you there. It added a third level of shopping and the food court offers a kinds of grinds. Gotta check it out if you like shop, or window shop for that matter.

Yelp
This shopping center is a MUST if you are visiting in the area and need a good place to eat, chill, or walk around at. They have a food court inside with many options including all different cuisines so everyone can find something they enjoy. Also there are an abundance of stores ranging from more affordable items to luxary, The mall is kept very clean and tidy with many plants along the middle aisle. Also the parking is easy to navigate and there is plenty! I really have no complaints, only a suggestion. Since most of the mall is outdoor with a small covering over it, suggest bringing an umbrella if there is rain in the forecast! Highly recommend!

Yelp
More drama near the Kona Street parking garage on the Piikoi side (Foodland Side). Thank you to the Fire Department and Paramedics for responding so quickly and showing so much care and respect to the houseless man who was in distress. 5 Stars to the first responders but one Star to the mall for not doing a better job of patrolling the area and cleaning the parking garage. That area always smells awful and is creepy to walk through.

Yelp
This is one of the largest shopping centers in US. It's a beautiful mall to stroll around, shop and eat. The food court is huge with atleast 20 or more options. We have visited this mall frequently I noticed now they have been bringing in more affordable retailers so a good mix of shopping. Definitely a worthwhile stop on Oahu.

Yelp
this mall is pretty cool. It's very outdoors and there's a lot of shops however most of the stores are stores you can also find on the mainland but it was still pretty good time we got a good amount of stuff.

The Ala Moana Center provides many amenities for the world traveling visitors. I highly recommend the food court of many cuisines. I enjoyed authentic food deserving of my palate. Since the restaurant choices may be overwhelming "go with your gut feeling"!! Mahalo

Yelp
If you are a shopaholic Ala Moana Mall is definitely the place to stop. It is a huge 3 story open air mall that offers a good variety of retail shopping. There is also one of the biggest food courts I've ever seen that is sure to please everyone in your party. A good place to go if you need some retail therapy while on the island.

Yelp
Awesome place to visit if you're a tourist and your first time here in Oahu! My family and I stopped by here twice during our stay. There are PLENTY of things to see and do here. Lots of shopping to have had and food to eat. Their food court is large but there's also a lot of food shops around the entire mall. If you're a tourist, I highly recommending stopping by here and looking around. You'll spend a lot of time here and it's also the largest open air mall!

Yelp
It is advertised as being the largest indoor/outdoor shopping center in the world with over 350 merchants. First off, the parking situation is HORRENDOUS!! It is incredibly popular, so finding a space can be trying. Many of the stores are high end, like Cartier, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale, Neiman Marcus, Rolex, Hoka, ... Target is the most reasonable. The food court has probably close to 30 choices of different cuisine. It's a good time waster.

Yelp
Ala Moana Center is such a beautiful open air mall that it makes malls in the mainland blush in envy, what a beautiful mall! And we are talking massive here, at least a few blocks in size. A labyrinth of ground parking could easily make a visitor lost trying to find the closest spot to your destination. To tell you the truth, I think we barely scratched the surface as far as checking out the whole of Ala Moana Center. We came here for some snacks at CVS, ramen for dinner, and some boba. Now I see why a lot of social venues happen here at Ala Moana; its just such a beautiful mall.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while, but this is the second or third time I've been here. Last time was this November 2024. Lots of standard mall shops with some luxury shops too, so that diversifies the shop offerings here. The mall directory and location of some shops can be confusing so refer to the directory listings there or use their website to direct yourself to what shop you want to go to.

Yelp
Every too I'm in Oahu this mall is a MUST to go to. I love how spacious and beautiful it is. I could wander around for hours just looking at everything. Expect lots of madness in the parking garage as this place gets very very busy. I was lucky enough to find parking immediately on the second floor about 45 min after the mall had opened. There are so many different stores to choose from, though a lot of them are very high end and expensive. I love the food court as well, as they have a decent variety of foods to choose from.

Yelp
Ale Moana has rude employees and everything is overpriced. There is nothing to good to buy, mostly just expensive hand bags.

Yelp
Everything is in this mall. There's Nordstroms, Crocs, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Gap, Anthropolog, L'occitane & CVS/Longs. Food Land and Target. Dim sum, restaurants with pork, coffee, Lahaina Fried chicken, Pho, and so much more. Some of the stores are small but they're clean. Great place to shop! They have a Barnes & Noble with the biggest selection of cookbooks. Most stores have nice salespeople and good service. The value is great if you are from the mainland due to the 4.5% tax vs 9.25%. I make a point to spend at least one day here.

Yelp
We wanted a fun shopping day and ventured to Honolulu. Be warned -- if you are near north shore Oahu it is VERY difficult to get an Uber. We got very lucky and met a woman that ended up being our uber for our whole trip. This mall is truly beautiful! We saw hula dancers performing, the people were all very friendly, everything was clean. I took a star off because of the options for stores. There were SO many high price stores like Tiffany or Cartier that it didn't leave a whole lot for options. We didn't find some cute surf shops and some decor stores. I wished I was able to bring more home with me. Waikiki is right there too, but same issue -- just a lot of fancy stores. If you want cuter stuff you need to go to north shore. Would I go to the mall again? Yeah, I would.

Yelp
What would make this place even better a 5 stars is to have benches every so many shops upstairs say 5-7 just so that if you are shopping with somebody who is not interested in shopping they can sit outside and wait or elderly who can not walk the whole length.
