I bought two pieces of sweets today. I ate a bite, it tasted weird.I looked at the bottom and both pieces were filled with green MOLD!! thats a shame. NEVER going back to that place. i wish i can post the pics in here.

Stopped in and ordered the Aladdin’s bowl with chicken. The grains were cold, hard and didn’t taste fresh. I was shocked that the chicken was bland and not seasoned or marinated at all! The Hummus, greens, garlic sauce were fresh & delicious. Just the grains and chicken were disappointing. The marketplace is super cute with great options for pantry and spices. Customer service was friendly! I will give a second chance, perhaps go for the pita next time.

Google
The most beautiful delicious Lebanese dishes I’ve ever had. Everything is flavorful and fresh and colorful. The portion sizes are generous. Their bowls are phenomenal and make chipotle look like child’s play. The staff is friendly and good looking and the restaurant is always clean. Have come here about 6 times and every time my taste buds have been in pure bliss. A perfect little restaurant. Seriously

Google
Very helpful. Great selection. Amazing service. We will recommend this market and be back in the future. The staff was so informative on traditional spices. We cannot wait to try our Shawarma spice on the goat. Thank you again.

We always stop by Aladdin's when we are in Cleveland. The spinach pie and meat pie are great and reasonably priced. Go there early of the day and you may find parking right in front of the store.

Google
A lovely place, great staff and a significant selection of Arabic and Middle Eastern food to chose from. The bakery wins the gold but the staff and location take home the price. I enjoyed the visit and their prices are reasonable. The fresh baked pita are a huge plus. P. S. They owe me one manoosha 😁

Google
One of the owners took care of me and by far one of the best customer service from her and just wstching their interactions will have you coming back for more. The variety in different pita's this is a very good place to have some authentic food.

Google
Healthy, fresh and fast Lebanese food!! Excellent service and family owned! Best Pita in the Land. A Cleveland staple of 50+ years! Stop in and grab a bite or shop around for some authentic mediterranean goods! 🇱🇧🫶🏼♥️

Raida G.

Yelp
Best Middle Eastern bread bakery in Cleveland! They supply all the other stores with pita bread and if you go at certain times you get to see the bread being made!

Chang J.

Yelp
The chicken swarma is the best and I always grab some fresh pita.. Lots of pastries and other good stuff.

Ashley O.

Yelp
Best place for a quick bite while in Cleveland. Everything is good and you can do a little grocery shopping while you wait for your lunch to be prepare fresh. They recently renovated and it looks very nice.

Chad M.

Yelp
Lots of good food and a wonderful grocery selection. We love the deli and hot food selections!

Kevin C.

Yelp
Went to Cleveland for a baseball game & found this place down the street from my hotel. Had cookies & coffee one morning. Couple tables inside to sit at. Also on way out of town purchased a Gyro sandwich. Delicious. They make their own pita pockets. Bought wheat and Everything pitas. Haven't tried them yet but I'm sure they are good, On street parking very friendly staff.

Tina P.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and patient. The chicken shawarma wrap was very flavorful. The zatar bread is full of flavor.

Shelli J.

Yelp
I love their pita spinach pies I have been going and eating them for 2O years. I love being able to get a quick meal and see them getting heated up in the oven.

Anna B.

Yelp
Would go out of my way to go back! Such a fun adventure buying all the different Mediterranean foods: tabbouleh, hummus, baklavah and DEFINITELY SANDWICHES!! Fantastic. The naan bread I brought home was a huge hit. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

Rose K.

Yelp
I've been coming here ever since I was a little girl. The people are always great. I miss Jimmy - his smile was infectious. Many new people / they are great but still miss his smile ! The bread is always fresh. Best place to get labne! Their spinach pockets rock. Thanks for continuing this great tradition of pita making !!!!

Amy J.

Yelp
Basic Mediterranean essentials from fresh hummus and olives to olive oils, cheeses, and miscellaneous fig and other pantry items. No fresh produce. Some warmable foods like the blah feta veggie flatbread I got and photographed. Very nice workers and helpful if you have any questions.

Paula S.

Yelp
I have been going here for years and never took time to write a review. Love their gyro sandwiches, spinach/feta pies, and baba and everything else. I have a friend from h.s. who is ill right now and this is the food she asked me to bring. Super fresh pita. Everything is so fresh and healthy. I'm always surprised to stumble upon someone who has never tried it. It's a Cleveland gem!!!!

Neha G.

Yelp
Good pita/naan bread and selection of baklava. The shop seems to be under construction currently so half of it is closed. The pita are made in-house and quite popular as they distribute to local stores in the CLE area. Fresh naan (garlic, garden veggie, wheat, or plain flavors) are $1.90. Normally large pitas are $1.45. You can score a deal on day old pita bread for 75 cents. Heat it up and it's just fine. They sell sweets and other middle eastern grocery. You can also purchase food to go. I ordered a Zaatar bread heated up for $1.99. I rate them 3 stars because workers were not strictly wearing masks correctly. Even the cashier guy his mask was below the nose or sometimes not even covering his mouth when talking to us. We were also over charged for pita that was on sale. Luckily we kept the receipt and took it back to show the cashier. We were told 'you should have spoke up and told me these were the sale ones!' I think that should be the job of the store to mark these. Who knows how many people don't check their bill and just walk away paying more. So keep an eye on your bill when you shop!

Yelp
I bought dozen of falafel and it was frozen so I drove back to see the manger and I was surprised that the manger sold me the falafel, I asked the manger why the falafel are frozen he said we sell the falafel frozen I just felt they don't care about the customer so I didn't argue with him and I asked for refund. Please don't visit this location because they don't care about customers and they will sell you old and frozen food.

Iris S.

Yelp
This place is great for a quick lunch. I love their falafel sandwich (the falafel is flavorful and not too bread-y) and my bf loves the chicken kebab. The flavors are very clean and the veggies crisp. We also got the hummus with tahini (so smooth and buttery. Can't wait to try the other flavors. I am eyeing the spicy one next) to dip our spinach pie in. Can't wait to come back and get the above (plus stock up on their home mad pita and hummus)

Julia O.

Yelp
Had a pretty good gyro. I always appreciate the chance to add some Greek feta ((for an extra fee of course) but that was not an option. I would have liked red onion instead of white. The tzatziki sauce could have been better. The girls behind the counter were friendly and fast. Small market for homemade pita and naan.

Sheldon G.

Yelp
I was there yesterday around 1:30 pm. I want to warn everyone that the employees do not all wear masks, and the ones who do fail to cover their noses. In addition, the food serving areas, like the coffee service area, are filthy. And, the plastic barriers not wide enough, allowing customers unobstructed breathing into the food preparation areas. Aside from that, my chicken shawarma's contents included tough overdone chicken, and brownish lettuce and onions.

Karl K.

Yelp
My crew has eaten here twice a day for two days! Today we are stocking up for the drive to Kansas. Thank you All for feeding us and converting a few meat eaters to veggies for two days!

Marie P.

Yelp
Great array of foods and an extremely impressive grocery section. I really love the outdoor tables too. Take a shopping bag, you'll need it. A wonderful array of cheeses are available as well.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Updating because I think it's worthy... Be sure to check ALL expiration dates!!! Half of the items I picked up today were expired or a day/few days away from expiring. Staff was not overly friendly or helpful. Baked goods, fresh pita and hummus are still stars (and a bargain)!! However, I bought their tabouli and when I got home there was a sharp wire in the mixture. I didn't see the wire... I found it when I ate a spoonful, and it cut my gum open. Be careful, my friends. Pistachio baklava will always have a very special place in my heart, so that is why Al's gets 3 stars.

Kristen K.

Yelp
What a gem!!! We stopped in Cleveland during a long road trip for a bite to eat. We were just going to hit up your standard fast food restaurant, but then I drove past this place. I knew instantly that I must stop!! This place is set up like a little market. They have so many different items in their store - it's amazing, trust me! I stocked up on some goods and noticed through the glass that the workers were making fresh pita in the room over. It was like a small factory set up. Their pita was soooo reasonably priced and very, very good. They also sell day old pita for half the price! In additional to the store and the fresh pitas, they also serve food. You just approach the counter and order what you want. They have some pre-made things (sort of like a deli set up) and also items that they can whip up for you. There were huge blocks of fresh feta cheese and just everything you could possibly want in a Mediterranean styled place. The prices were sooo good, too. I grab some pre-made salads to take home (they were only like $5 or $6) and had fresh herbs in it. Then we ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich, which again was under $6. It had chicken served in their freshly made pita with garlic, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickled turnips, parsley and tahini sauce. They were really big and absolutely delicious. I was so excited to be eating it! This is by far the best of this food that I have ever had. It is all so fresh, authentic and tasty. Buffalo has several places that serve similar food, but they are definitely lacking the market style of this place. The food surpasses any place in Buffalo by far. I genuinely wish this place was in Buffalo because I would be there weekly - whether it would be to buy groceries, pita or a nice meal. One of the best decisions I have ever made! I can't imagine driving through Cleveland again and not stopping.

Yelp
Aladdins is great as a quick stop to grab some food to go. This location is like 95% market with the front counter restaurant. The market offers up traditional meditteranean fare such as fresh pita, hummus, and various other sauces along with much more. The restaurant is sandwich based with a very cheap and accessible menu. I found it interesting that all the sandwiches are rolled rather than folded over in the pita like most other places. The shwarma is very savory and fresh cut off the vertical cooker. Personally, I am not a fan of the pickled turnips that they use and prefer to order without them. When in a rush this is top notch mediterranean cuisine to go.

Lynden G.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while participating in a conference across the street. It was a hot day outside, and unfortunately the bakery wasnt any cooler. However I came for a gyro and I wasnt going to turn back. And I am so glad I didn't. Meat shaved right off the spit, bread baked fresh daily. I wish I would have tried more, but gives me something to come back to.

A C.

Yelp
I love this place! It's so healthy and so delicious. The people are very nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. They have the best homemade hot sauce and really good Zaatar too.

Mike G.

Yelp
This place was great. The Gyro roll was delicious and I also tried a kibbie ball - meat, tomato, spices. Fantastic. As I sat eating my food I saw many people show up and take it to go so don't be fooled by the location or its supposed busyness.

Sharon G.

Yelp
Great selection of items in the grocery store part of Aladdin's. Took a walk at lunchtime and popped into Aladdin's for a couple bars of olive oil soap, hibiscus tea, hummus, and hot curry powder. Bought some zatar bread (omg this is soooooo good!!) and baklava (drool!!!!!!!) to go. The food here is always great. Very clean space, fair amount of products to choose from in the grocery side (it's fun to discover and try new things!) The workers are always super friendly and helpful. Such a great place. I always love stopping in here and picking something delicious up!

David M.

Yelp
This place is a staple for lunches during the weekdays or before Indians games when they are open that way you avoid the overpriced less than stellar food at the game. I tend to get either the falafel or chicken shwarma wrap. Both are very tasty. I think what is best is that their homemade pita wrap is relatively thin so you taste the filling a lot more than the bread. Their hummus is excellent as well, very creamy and flavorful. Sometimes the meat in the wraps can be dry and a schmeer of hummus helps. Fast services, low prices and tasty healthy food. It is all good at Aladdin's.

Dale D.

Yelp
I have been going here for decades... best deal downtown for lunch. Their Chicken Shawarma for only $5.75 is something I crave. Thinly sliced marinated meat cooked on a large vertical skewer. Served on a pita laced with garlic, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickled turnips, parsley and dressed with tahini sauce. Eat in or take out. If you want Pita bread... this is the place... they make it there, you can't get fresher! Day pita old is cheap and great to make your own pita chips with. All you needs for Middle Eastern cooking are available too. A large variety of olives out of vats, you get to taste them before buying... so authentic. Try the Greek Feta, cut to order... least expensive in town and wonderful. Don't forget to try their Baba... nice level of lemon juice to galic.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Food and pita is 100% authentic, house made, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend to everyone!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
The staff at Aladdins' is amazing. It's like a big family that is willing to share all its food with you. I especially liked the grape leaves and homemade pizzas. For less than $5 you can get freshly made food that can last for two meals if you stretch it a bit. They also have a great variety of breads and hummus to take to go. Make sure to ask for the pizza to be warmed up..they will toast it for you and it tastes so good!!

Bella B.

Yelp
It's good food for the prices you are lying. I'm giving it 4 stars only because the last time I ordered I was underwhelmed. The fattoush salad was tasteless, and the chicken shawarma had dry chicken. Maybe they had an off day. Usually everything is delicious. Will definitely go again.

Jay F.

Yelp
It actually pains me to do this. I've been going here since I was a kid. (Don't ask) it seems to have been sliding for some time. New faces every time I came in. I liked the remodel and understand the price increase, but it doesn't warrant the falloff in quality and service. I've gone in a few times at lunch and have actually walked out. It was chaotic at best. Today, it was rather slow, so I stopped for a Kafta. Obviously, they don't serve a lot, as I saw the gal pull it out of a bag in the refrigerator. The sandwich was cold and nasty. Normally, I would say something, but I truly felt it would fall on deaf ears. Once my go to place is now my don't go to place. As a side note, Jasmine's bread is thinner, softer and better.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for healthy, fresh, quick lunchtime takeout. The place has improved in bounds aesthetically speaking since I started going there a few years ago, but the food has been consistently great. I'm a vegetarian and really appreciate the wide variety of veggie-friendly options, but my friends rave about the gyros and shwarma as well. The hummus veggie rolled pita and artichoke pizza are my personal favorites. As far as the store goes, there is no better place to buy pita, price or quality wise. I LOVE the packs of cinnamon raisin pitas, $1.50 for six of them (slap on some peanut butter and you have breakfast covered for a week). The place can get busy before Indian's games, but they usually move people through there pretty quickly. Also, stick a dime in the meter out front even if you think you'll just be in there for 5 minutes! For whatever reason they seem to police the area quite frequently and it sucks to leave the place with your yummy food only to be greeted by a $20 ticket on your car!

Victoria B.

Yelp
I am out of the area and wanted to make a quick stop for fun. We chose Aladdin's and we're not. disappointed . Lebanese food, pizzas, stuffed gyros, amazing pita sandwiches bread. Also a great selection of Lebanese grocery items . Clean , very friendly worth a stop !! Don't forget the bakery items - excellent !

Jessica H.

Yelp
Been going here since I was a kid and it's evolved over the years- but everything is just delish. I love watching the fresh pitas come down the conveyor all puffy! When I was little, the staff would come out and hand me a piping hot fresh one. That, my friends, is a heavenly experience. Great spinach pies, fresh or frozen for take home!

Daniel G.

Yelp
I went to Alladins today for a quick meal after the art museum, and loved it! I don't know if I was more impressed by the cheap prices or the quality of the food! I ordered a meat pie with 2 grape leaves, and my mom ordered a spinach and feta pie, all of which were delicious. Their stuffed pies are small, portable snacks that come in a variety of flavors. Also I tried some grape leaves stuffed with meat for the first time, and they were also delicious. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the meat pies were a little cold in the center. Also, they sell a lot of Lebanese groceries, and we picked up some of those as well. All in all, definitely recommended!

Scott F.

Yelp
Dry ass chicken shawarma. I was disappointed. But hey the customers were buying pita bread by the armfulls.

D S.

Yelp
I base my rating on the fact that noone in this store wears facemasks and that includes the kitchen staff. The food is definitely 5 star but I am not sure how they get away with such poor concerns for the public.

Ellie D.

Yelp
Um, yum!!! What a treasure, Cleveland! I try to go down and get pita bread frequently enough to avoid buying it at the store. So fresh and yummy and about half the price. Can't beat it. I am obsessed with the cinnamon raisin pitas- get yourself some!! The grocery store has tons of little treats! Usually pick up some pita chips and yummy hummus as well. Try the hot hummus- delish! After I peruse and load up around the store- I head for the fresh food. Yum! Love the gyro and chicken shawarma sandwiches! Usually grab a fun pita pizza for the hubs or for later. Try the amazing sweets! Baklava is amazing. Love grabbing some kibbeh when the spirit moves. My husband once surprised me with a salad with chicken. It was the tomato/cucumber/get salad with shaved chicken on top- yum!!!!! With the fresh pita and some hummus, it was one of my favorite and freshest meals of the summer. Don't miss this Cleveland gem!!

Alexa I.

Yelp
I have been going here with my dad since I was little. We are Syrian and we love coming here because this is the best place to find all of our favorite middle eastern snacks and dishes. Also, they have the best freshly-made pita bread ever! Highly recommend the spinach pies as well.

Ula A.

Yelp
Great Market for all you need, always fresh baked pies and bread. Love Aladdins bakery If only they open beyond 6 pm !

Angie B.

Yelp
I have loved this place for years. Until now. My baba had whole cloves of garlic in it. I bought a large tub of baba, hummus and tabouli. The hummus and tabouli had hair in them. More than one strand too. I'm so disappointed. I give up.

Patrick W.

Yelp
So, you know that restaurant you thought was good until someone told you they saw a mouse behind the counter? Or that time you found a hair in your sandwich? A fly in your soup? When was the last time you saw the woman making your sandwich flossing inbetween orders... behind the counter... in plain sight of everyone in the store/restaurant? Gross.

Parker W.

Yelp
There are plenty of mediocre lunch options downtown. Aladdin's Bakery is a good option. The food is cheap and you don't have to feel guilt about eating something bad for you. All of the typical middle eastern dips are available for sale and the pita is fresh as can be. The hummus is pretty good and a decent price. The grape leaves are hit or miss. They also have gyro, chicken shawarma and little pita pizzas. The dining area is very limited. It is better to grab the food to go. They also have a small section that features middle eastern grocery items and cheeses. It is always a great idea to venture off the beaten path of downtown, walk past a depressing cemetery, watch a bum grab flowers from a grave plot, attempt to sell them to an office worker and then you end up eating food at Aladdin's Baking Co.

Meg J.

Yelp
With such low prices and excellent quality, I don't know how this business makes enough profit to stick around. Whatever they're doing, it's working: Aladdin's has been a Cleveland landmark since the 1970s. Mostly a wholesale operation, they make Middle Eastern specialties to sell to many local grocery stores and restaurants. The company is open to the public for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Expect pita, hummus, tabbouleh, grape leaves, canned drinks, and baklava.... I have some pictures of the food up on my blog (http://whatsincleveland.blogspot.com/2011/05/alladins-baking-company.html) if you want to go check it out. My friend and I ate well for under ten bucks.

John W.

Yelp
Vegetarian friendly!!! They have many choices for vegetarians and meat eaters. The food is amazing. Perfect for carryout. They also have limited space inside to eat there. Their menu has many amazing things to try, but you will be very happy just picking up their hummus and fresh baked pita. Once you try their hummus you will realize all the hummus in the grocery stores tastes bland in comparison. Their pita pizzas and baklava are really good.

Wafa I.

Yelp
I haven't tried their cooked food yet so as of right now this review is about their groceries only! I have been here a few times to pick up a few items, for both myself, and my mother. The pita here is to die for, it is so fresh! Fresher than any other pita. They have a large variety to choose from based on your preference. I was there today, and I even saw the pita being made in the back, how cool! I've also picked up other random middle eastern groceries such as canned fava beans, chick peas, olives (amazing). These are things you can get anywhere so the main thing I go for is the bread. The workers here are very pleasant and the prices are fair! I look forward to trying their homemade foods.

J. R.

Yelp
This is the best place you can go for anything involving pita. Period. As a kid, my dad would get his pita from here and not until later in life did I discover-- most people settle for inferior pita-- pita that is more than a day from the oven. You don't know about it until you've had it fresh and you don't realize how transformative it is to everything the pita touches. It is very convenient to park on Carnegie and just walk-in, pick-up some spinach pies, some pita, and a chicken shwarma to go. The real deal for a reasonable price. (Do not confuse this with the regional chain sit-down restaurant with the same name.)

Amy S.

Yelp
I've always wanted to stop by this market, but the hours seem pretty random anytime I was in the area for a game, they were closed! Well, we finally time it right last time and made a stop to pick up some sandwiches to take to the game instead of eating overpriced ballpark food. I ordered a gyro (thanks to Yelp recommendations) and got some hummus to go. The hummus was very fresh, although a little bland- will definitely go for the garlic next time. The gyro on the other hand, that was a winner! Plenty big for 2 people and very flavorful. I wish they would stay open before all baseball games, as I think they'd get a lot more business! Everything there looked so tasty, it was hard not to order one of everything!
