Fantastic experience as a beginner learning to surf here! we had such a blast and the scenery is simply the best. Highly recommended! I came with my 8 years old daughter and we both had a surf blast!!

It was my second time here last Saturday for two sessions and I had an awesome experience all around. I'd especially like to highlight the quality of the coaches Damien and Hugo who made the session super enjoyable and gave great inputs. They make it feel like you're out with friends on a sunny beach somewhere in France or Portugal even though you're in between the Alps (in October no less). Great facilities and accomodating staff all around. Will be back in Spring!

Alaia Bay is an amazing place for surfing. The pool has waves for every level and the staff creates a great environment. All surfing lovers will enjoy the experience here

Unfortunately I got sick the day before my reservation. I submitted a doctors certificate after 2 days and waited several weeks/months on a reply. Customer service is below 0. Incredible how they keep on posting on social media but can’t seem to find the time to respond to an email. Almost two months later and I still didn’t receive any refund even though it is stated: “If your cancellation is due to illness, kindly send us a medical certificate in the 7 days. Please note that in such cases, a CHF 40.- administrative fee applies for last-minute cancellations.”

Alaïa bay is a beautiful experience and you should try it at least once! However, this experience will cost you no little money (130-170 per 1h session) which makes it difficult to repeat it often. On the negative side, the booking system on their website is very difficult: many sessions per day, mixed between teaching classes and practice sessions, at 3 different prices ranges depending on the season. Also the experience with the teachers is mixed. Some are superficial and give very little tips. Here, we got lucky with Sergio who was able to give very personalized suggestions (before and after the sessions!) making our two sessions particularly instructive. You can tell he's very passionate and experienced in teaching. The restaurant is also very good, the pizza and the Thai food is really abundant and delicious with a price average of 50-60chf. One of us was disappointed by the poke and by the smoothies being too expensive.

We had a great time catching waves on Saturday (Cruiser) and Sunday (Intermediate Cruiser). Hugo and Damien were great coaches, both on-shore and in the water. The food at the restaurant is always good value too, and overall great vibes of all the staff. We’ll definitely be back!
