This trip report reflects my stay in early January 2024—admittedly two years overdue—but better late than never! LOL! Over the past two decades, this was my fourth stay at one of the Alam Indah hotels and my first time staying specifically at Alam Indah. As with my previous visits, it was a fantastic four-night stay.
From the moment I made my reservation with Ayu to the time I checked out, the entire experience was smooth and delightful. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with a beautiful flower bouquet, a thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel grounds were serene, beautifully maintained, and exuded a sense of peace throughout. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and the family’s restaurant, Laka Leke, just a few minutes away—offered a truly memorable meal, especially the campur cheri.
I am deeply grateful to all the staff members, who clearly treat one another like family and extend that same warmth and care to their guests. Although Ubud has become increasingly touristy over the years, I was both delighted and relieved to find that the Alam Indah hotels continue to preserve their authentic Balinese character.
