A beautiful park in the heart of CDMX. It's lush nature contrasts heavily with the endless concrete and buildings of the city. Much needed green space. Beautiful fountains and locals relaxing. A must visit!

I mean its a park. Like most parks in Mexico people will sell you stuff and there are some weirdos here and there but overall it was a pleasant walk! No trash bins tho.

This place is a very nice place, and is very crowded specifically on Saturday and Sundays. You can find food and souvenirs. Nice place to walk and have a nice time! Maybe on nights need to be careful, if you go for first time just go by day.

Gorgeous park with quite a lot of impressive sculptures and fountains. The park is incredibly well maintained. Great spot for people watching in an otherwise touristy and hectic neighborhood.

I made it a point to sit at Parque de la Alameda during this visit to CDMX. Wanted to relax and read a book. This place is full of life, people, food and a welcoming atmosphere that's makes you stop to just breathe. My reading didn't happen because locals connected with me and I had long, interesting conversations while putting my book away. Years since I sat on a bench and just watched people . What a wonderful experience . You can enjoy vendors and food, books, crafts etc. But this time around I blended in with the locals from a well placed park bench. Will be back for more💖💖💖🙌

This was the park right outside our hotel in the busy central part of CDMX. The park itself is beautiful with a lot of fountains and art.

The Central Park of Mexico City is long and big. Great place to rest, enjoy the nature. It connect with the city, municipality government's building, opera house, historic district and more. We enjoy the park and saw the police dog patrolling. The park is welcome by many. Especially during the day of the dead festival.

I passed through this garden on the way to the palacio de Bellas artes. I actually found this little park to be quite nice - there were lots of security officers around and plenty of shady benches. The CDMX wifi para todos network was also quite prominent so I didn't have trouble connecting. There was a little art market set up right at the entrance to the park and I found a lovely little ring there which I wanted to commemorate visiting Mexico.

Beautiful city park right in the heart of Centro. Full of locals enjoying their day/night and dancing like no one is watching. Surrounded by purple jacaranda trees, fountains, and other beautiful buildings, it is located in a stunning setting. One of the places where you can truly experience CDMX.

This is a fun urban park with fountains, flowers, and beautiful trees. You'll find all sorts of vendors around the edges and some inside the park. Plan to find souvenirs, trinkets books, and lots of food. I bet you'd be distracted by shopping as much as the by the landscape. Spend time here before or after a visit to one of the nearby museums.

Alameda Central is a public park in Mexico City - thought to be the oldest public public in the Americas. It has paved paths, decorative fountains, and a monument to Benito Juarez. Well worth a walk if you're in the area to visit the Palacio de Bellas Artes or other nearby sites!

In A Nutshell: -Alameda Central is a huge park in CDMX. -If you go on the weekend you will see a lot of people enjoying the weather & random activities surrounding the area. -This is a nice place to people watch, grab some street food like elote, get some healthy steps in & to just chill. Overall, whenever you are in crowded areas, always maintain vigilance & you'll be good to go.

As the city's oldest public park, Alameda Central is an oasis in a busy part of town. Stroll the pathways from fountain to fountain, finding sculptures and memorials along the way. Our five-year-old daughter and puppy both loved this park!

Mexico City's Alameda Central has lived a long and interesting life. Established in the 1500s, this one-time Aztec marketplace should be the subject of a documentary. During the Mexican Inquisition more than 50 people were burned at the stake here. Later, the park was fenced off and open only to nobility. Diego Rivera's mural, "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon", depicts a lot of this history, from both a historical and imagined perspective. The park was later opened to all and rumor has it that during one festive moment in the 1800s, the water in the park's many fountains was replaced with alcohol. The park fell into disrepair, was for a long time considered a dangerous place, but earlier this decade the place was completely refurbished. Now? It is sparkling and immaculate, and easy to mistake for a nice European park. Staying in the historic district for half my time in Mexico City, Alameda Central was probably the place I visited most often. It's the home to numerous museums (Palacios de Bellas Artes, the museum featuring the above mentioned Rivera mural, and Laboratorio Arte Alameda). Starting on Friday morning and continuing throughout the weekend, down across Juarez from the Hilton, clothing and craft vendors set up their booths. The array of goods offered was high quality and well-priced; a great place to pick up souvenirs for yourself and friends. The park, with its Parisian fountains, serious and whimsical sculptures, benches, and tidy landscaping is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the passers-by, and drink in the lovely atmosphere before running off to the next museum. And as you do, just think: you are now a part of this park's long and storied history. Alameda Central is a nice outdoor respite while you're in the center of the hubbub of Mexico City. If you find yourself here, take a moment to enjoy its charms.

The transformation of this park during the past few decades has been remarkable. Originally, this was the park for high society to walk about and be seen. Well, fast forward to not so long ago and this was a park in very bad condition. The area also had its share of criminal activity. (I benefited, though, because I regularly stayed in a very nice but very cheap hotel nearby.) As I walk through the park these days, it's once again a nice place to be. It's the renewed center of this neighborhood with the Palacio de Bellas Artes flanking its eastern border. There is free Wi-Fi, too, and the locals seem proud of this former high society enclave.

Beautiful oasis in the heart of the CDMX's hustle and bustle. The park is so thoughtfully laid out, it feels very inviting to just linger about and take everything in. There are many fountains and monuments spread throughout the park, and each has its own feeling to the surrounding area. It appears to be very well maintained with many people enjoying it.

Nice peaceful park that was very clean and nice to walk through. It's so close to the bellas artes palacio and provides shade and is away from some the traffic. It would've nice to have a few more benches. Plenty of people walk around this area so it feels safe without being congested. Trees help the air feel a little more fresh and it looks well maintained.

I loved walking around here- people watching, shopping, looking at the varied sculptures- some of which I am trying to learn more about. wonderful place to create great memories.
