Alameda Rooms

Booked this place expecting a 4-star experience (as listed on Booking.com), but was shocked to find only 2 stars on the actual hotel building. And honestly, even 2 stars feels generous. The hotel is extremely basic – it felt more like a glorified hostel than a proper hotel.||The AC was off, and we had no choice but to open the windows onto a noisy, busy street, making it impossible to sleep. Even with the windows shut, the lack of insulation meant we could still hear everything – cars, people, and worst of all, the cathedral bells ringing very early in the morning.||The window blinds were dirty, and the room in general had a worn-out, neglected feel.||The only positive is the central location, but even that becomes a drawback when you can’t get any peace and quiet.||Overall, I felt misled by the rating. This place is really, really disappointing – would not recommend.

The rooms are small ish, but have everything you need, the bathrooms and beds are nice and clean. I stayed here a couple of days. I had breakfast at the place on the corner, and I'd say that was probably the best place I had breakfast on the Camino Ingles. It's a great location close to the centre, and also just off Parque Alameda

There's no one at reception after 16:00 so they give you a code to get in. We arrived, and the floor was disgusting, covered in long hair. It had obviously not been swept or vacuumed. Our only option was to whatsapp someone who was very slow to respond, and it wasn't possible to have someone clean it. The room and especially the bathroom stinks of mildew. What a disappointment when you just want to relax after a long day. If you can get a cheap price and have low standards, this is ok for a quick stopover (one night), but this is highly disappointing when you want to have even a marginally nicer experience.

Ok place to stay, 2 star is about right grading but bathrooms are fabulous, power shower and hot. Rooms are sparten but new so clean, beds comfy but rooms are noisy, hear neighbours and a gym with pump class blasting out.

Good location.....about a 4-5 minute walk to the Cathedral. Reception wasn't overly friendly but did his job. Small rooms but clean and tidy. Bathroom was an okay size. Wi-fi worked very well. Very quiet. Comfy bed. We didn't have breakfast. Would stay again.|

Rooms were small, stuffy and humid. We couldn’t open windows at night due to the street noise. Although clean, this seemed to be more of an alburgue than a hotel as no one was at the desk after 8pm. ||We had just completed the Camino and were disappointed in the lodging. If we were young college age people on a budget perhaps, but that’s not us. ||Breakfast was down the street at another property by the same owner. It was limited seating and the guests at that property appeared annoyed that others from outside were taking up limited seats. Capacity was about 12 seats. ||I’d recommend another place.

Infestation of bed bugs. Great location, very small rooms.

Beautifully renovated, safe location, walking distance to the cathedral . Bare bones room but what more do you need. We transferred after one night to a 3 bed room (that's how we booked it) The second night was a spacious room for us three ladies. Very clean and modern! Only a few doors away to a wonderful coffee shop and to a laundromat
