Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Springfield

The Alamo Drafthouse makes considering returning to a conventional theater very hard, if not impossible. The options of eating a light meal, having an adult beverage, and the refills on popcorn and soft drinks are hard to beat! I love the reclining chairs; although other theaters might have them, they likely do not offer the above-named amenities. I like how they offer the opportunity to view classic movie favorites in some of their select screenings, also. Alamo Drafthouse has made going to the cinema fun again, in my opinion.

Great place to enjoy the movies! Everyone is courteous, very relaxing way to see a variety of new and older movies. Great for families or a date night.

Fantastic movie experience! The theater has comfortable seating, crystal-clear sound, and a massive screen. The staff is friendly and attentive. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the variety of snacks. Highly recommend!

Throughly enjoyed our experience at the Alamo. It was our first time here, and what a treat being served in your seat! The pizza was really good, and we had two bowls of popcorn (cheat day!). In addition, we had beers, the Clooney marg, and even ordered a boozy milkshake. If only the movie had been half as good! The seats fully recline, and the sound was at the perfect level. We will definitely be going to more Alamo locations during our travels. 🍻🎥

Fantastic time! My son lives in Springfield and I have joined him twice for dinner theater and loved it. Excellent food choices as I have gluten issues. I didn’t expect that and it was a nice bonus to get a pizza option. Great service from the staff as well.

Wow! We are new to Springfield, MO and this theater is the best. The customer service was superb. The food was super tasty. I think we might get the membership because I already have too many classic films reserved for the upcoming weeks.

Alamo Drafthouse in Springfield is so much more than a movie theater and part of that is simply the way the staff makes this place feel like a small business every time you work with them whether simply ordering popcorn during a movie or collaborating on an event. We recently took advantage of one of their private rooms in the Backlot for a fun and lighthearted holiday event. I would absolutely recommend this place and the private rooms for your next friends and family outing or even if you want to take members from your team at work to do something fun throughout the year. Just go to their website and put in a request. Simple as that. They'll take care of you.

This is definitely an upscale movie going experience! We purchased our tickets online and chose our seats. The theatre rooms have reclining comfy chairs and you can order food right from your seat and they will bring it to you. They recommend you arrive early to get your orders started before the movie begins so as not to disrupt the movie and will have something playing on the screen for a kind of entertainment. It would not be a good place to bring small children, unless you come on one of their designated nights for families with small children, when they have the lights a bit brighter and the sound a bit lower and it’s okay for you to be up and about with the littles during the movie. Otherwise they are pretty clear about no cell phones and keeping quiet during the movie. (Like they make kind of a big deal about it!) It was a great movie experience, because who wouldn’t like reclining with a drink of some sort (I had a glass of wine and my hubby had a sweet tea) while watching a movie and having dinner brought to you? I gave it only four stars because of two things: not everything on the menu is always available (so have a back up) and prices are high! Plus they charge an automatic 18% charge to each bill that is spread among all of their workers to help cover their wages. If you want to tip your waiter specifically, you have to add that as extra. So you could be paying an extra 38% for the tips, which seems quite hefty! I have never agreed with charging your customers extra to help pay your employees wages and it seems a shame that the waiters may miss out on tips because people don’t want to pay more than the 18% they are already being charged, at very high prices! Overall, I will come again. The food is pretty good. The bottomless popcorn is nice. Just be prepared to spend some money if you plan on eating there…which really is a lot of fun!
