On the Grid : Alapash

"One of our favorite shops, right on the edge of Lincoln Square/Ravenswood. Alapash is a curated home goods store with unique odds and ends and a focus on terrariums, plants, scents and tapestries. And it’s just a nice place to be on a Saturday afternoon. They have a beautiful selection of air plants and succulents, with well-designed pots or trays to put them in. They carry a line of Campfire Incense and our favorite is the Siskiyou—it really does smell like a campfire. The hand poured Rosemary Mint candle is also great. We love everything they carry for our own home, and it's also the perfect place to pick up a gift for a friend. Also check out the shop next door, District, grab some coffee at Groundswell Cafe or go for a stroll in Winnemac Park, just up the street." - Knoed Creative

We are sure to stop in every time we are in town or passing through. Great merchandise for yourself or as gifts. We love our newest vase!

Absolutely loved these two shops in Three Oaks! Whoever buys for the stores has a wonderful eye. Amazing ceramics and home accessories (the second store also features plants & plant accessories) and nothing is outrageously priced. Lovely, friendly staff. I'm already thinking of things I want to pick up on my next stop. (Note to store: the last owl on the shelf has now found a good home next to some Jonathan Adler cousins. They've welcomed him into the flock!)

Lovely mercantile with lots of beautiful, unique items for home & garden. Located across from Journeyman's distillery, it is a good place to wander as you wait for your table or to shop for conversation starting items or gifts.

I'm surprised about some of these negative reviews. My GF and I both had great experiences on separate visits. Marco was very welcoming, engaging and answered our questions, including others in the store. Great store with really nice unique selections. Worth the trip!

I am in LOVE with this new shop! I popped in to check it out while my son was taking piano lessons across the street - what a find! I was instantly drawn to the buttery soft alpaca throws from Peru. And the beautiful ceramics and pottery in gorgeous color palettes and patterns. And don’t miss the playful and unique artwork. But the best gem is the owner, Marco, who is so friendly and helpful! My wallet was a little lighter when I left but I’m so pleased with my purchases. If you are looking for unique and special gifts or just something fun for your home, definitely check out Alapash New Home.

Marco is the best! By a huge margin, this shop has the largest selection of goods in western Michigan. The best part: his pricing is so much less than what you’d pay for the same goods in Chicago or Detroit. I’m hard pressed to even find online retailers with more competitively priced, perfectly curated home goods! I send clients here constantly and it never disappoints. Note to Chicagoans; the selection is about 50x the volume of the Chicago mini store. Worth the 65min drive!
