Alappuzha Light House

Alappuzha Lighthouse is a beautiful little spot with a peaceful vibe and lovely views of the backwaters. We visited in the afternoon, and it was very sunny, which made the view even brighter and more vibrant. The entry fee is just ₹20, which is very reasonable. Climbing up the lighthouse gives you a panoramic view of the canals, boats, and the town — perfect for photos and a quiet moment away from the bustle. The lighthouse itself is well-maintained, and the surrounding area is calm, making it a nice place to take a short break while exploring Alappuzha. Overall, a simple but scenic stop, especially worth it if you enjoy backwater views and peaceful little spots.

Beautiful light house still operational but open for public. Visit between 5-6 p.m. for a beautiful sunset view from the top of the light house. If you are lucky enough can witness trains passing by. During season it gets heavily crowded. And only one way to enter and exit. If you love sunsets it is a worthwhile visit.

One of beautifully maintained ancient working condition light house in Alleppey. Entry fee - 20 Rupees per person They have well maintained museum of all vintage lighthouse equipments and their technologies. Some of the vintage photographs you can see in museum. Well maintained garden as well. Also they allow to go upstairs in light house till the whole top of light house. One can see beautiful Alleppey beach view from top of this light house. There are 5 stories easy to climb to reach on top. Photography is not allowed after 3rd floor of light house and inside the museum

I personally never miss any light hose towers, this one will be special always. Sea, Train, Highway road all 3 will be combined view feel good experience. Must visit Light house 🔥 Best time to visit eve 4-5PM 5.30 closing time 60per head CASH ONLY

Superb place to spend an evening. View from top includes sea also. Climbing up is narrow stairs. No dedicated parking area but plenty of space is available outside.

Small and old lighthouse located in Kerala, India. Visited this place in a evening, a weekday but theres no any rush in the lighthouse or ticket counter. The price of a ticket for a foreigner is 20 INR (approx 75 Sri Lankan Rupees) and you have to pay additional 10 INR (approx 35 Sri Lankan Rupees) only if you are taking photos inside. But they are not allow you to take photos of the control units and the lamp. From the ground to top, theres only 2 ft wide timber steps, and theres no any resting points in the mid of the lighthouse. And to enter to the top deck, you have to climb a small ladder, and it will be really hard to the fat people. If you are planing to visit the lighthouse, please concider it. This place is closing in the mid of the day. (11am to 2pm - this is approx time, sometimes it may be little bit wrong) so please make your travel arrangements with avoiding that time. Overall this was a unique experience and recommended to visit!
