Recent flight from Houston to Seattle. Ground side in Houston was a disaster. 5 people standing behind counter doing nothing for almost 1 hr. We were in line designated for first class and they totally ignored us until we complained. Except for larger seats and more room, first class service was very disappointing.

I haven’t thought that I will experience racism through airline which seems treats people professionally. I have flight from Houston to seattle today at 7 am and I missed the flight because of racist lady at the boarding. She was forcing me to put my suitcase in checking bags even if I’m group C! and I didn’t want to. My partner which in group C got to air plain with out asking him to check his back “not forcing him” and made his flight. The lady at the entrance unchecked me and left me alone. I lost my ticket, hotel reservation, and appointment. Thank you for hiring racist people.

For some reason AKAIR in Houston doesn't know how to handle frozen boxes, they always wouldn't put it through the baggage claim or over at the oversize section.I never had any problems with any airports and I had been using the same size boxes for travelling with frozen goods. Now I always have to wait until the belt stops just to find out that it would be lost. First one was found 2 years ago after a week. This time I was coming back from AK a few weeks ago Im currently on day 12 and still have no news about my box. Their baggage claim service failed to returned any calls regarding about the matter. I had to always initiate any calls or get an update about it. The only update I got was on day 4 and the operator was stupid enough to ask me if I already found my box? Like really now?

So we got out flights canceled with out any notification. And we didn't find out till after we woke up at 5am and started our 2 our drive to make it to check in. And when we get there we waited on the employees to come out so we can get thing lined up. We waited 2 hours before we got notified that no one will be coming to help until 6am the next morning.

Love this airline and super excited that they are expanding. In my personal opinion, with the exception of last minute flights, they are the most cost effective and comfortable way to fly. Professional staff and I’ve had excellent flights. *Book in advance and stay flexible with your dates, if possible, to save the most money*

Google
Horrible airline! I needed assistance with getting from gate to ticket counter. I asked for help and was declined assistance. I don't care for SWA but their customer service is amazing.

This airline robbed everyone through covid on flight cancelations. Do not use them they are horrible people just another company robbing you

Checkin counter opens at 1500 (3pm), so don't bother showing up to the airport early if you have to check bags.

Yelp
Flying between Houston and Honolulu on Alaska Airlines... I used the Hawaiian Airlines app to book this flight. It chose IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) for me and it switched me to Alaska Airlines. The Lyft driver dropped me off at Terminal A and Alaska Airlines was close to the entrance. I only had carry-on bags, so check-in was easy. I had checked-in online, but I still prefer paper boarding passes. This boarding pass listed my 2 flights with gates and seats... yay! I arrived at the entrance to the gate where everyone was waiting for the door to open. When staff arrived, they asked for volunteers to check in their carry-on bags. Those who volunteered got the chance to board the plane first! Yippee! One less bag to lug around! On board, we got two rounds of beverages. The first round included a Biscoff cookie! There was free Wi-Fi where we tried to watch a movie, but took a nap instead. =) Thanks for a smooth flight!

Yelp
I am visually impaired, and I flew Alaska air for the first time on the ninth from Houston to Seattle and then to Burbank so it was a little daunting being impaired and traveling by myself for the first time, but the in-flight crew was very accommodating and helpful the wheelchair assistance that the airline provided was fantastic and prompt, and I truly appreciate the efforts that you guys are going for customer service

Yelp
When I travel to the Bay Area to Houston, I normally fly non-stop from OAK to Hobby on Southwest, or SFO - IAH on United. This time around, it was Alaska from SFO to PDX on Sunday to see my Son, then onward on Monday to Seattle and then Houston (Terminal A). On the way back (and to maintain fare with a single carrier), it was a return to Seattle and then home to SFO. It also doesn't hurt that I'm at MVP Level on Alaska, which meant 2 first class upgrade out of the 5 flights. The big payoff (besides the miles) was our flyby of Mt. Rainier on our way to Houston.

Yelp
Very good value to Seattle. Their flights were on time each time I have booked with them. Excellent customer service! I will be using them again!

Yelp
Pretty much the most rude and worthless people I've met.... The Alaska air people in Seattle are very nice and professional..... the ones here are horrible, not helpful and rude.... My ticket wouldn't show "infant in child seat" and they told me I had to call the 1-800 number.... Finally another employee came over and Printed it in 5 seconds.

Yelp
Can't give no stars. Flight 699 from Houston to Seattle. Supposed to leave 2 hours ago. Have been told. Plane coming in was delayed Then was told Seattle airport was too busy as I watched 2 Delta flights leave for Seattle. Missing connection in Seattle to Anchorage. Was told to call reservations, 3 hour wait. Was told oh well nothing we can do. Guy is supposed to fix computer but he couldn't. Then everyone disappeared. Captain crew been on plane last 2 hours. Check in Seattle but you might have to wait a few hours in Seattle because all employees will be gone when we arrive So disappointed. No information from Ak Air. They just don't care. Time to get rid of their credit card and fly delta

Yelp
Alaska is the best airline! Okay, maybe it tires with Southwest as my favorite... No, Alaska is my favorite! Being from Alaska probably makes me a little biased, although when I lived in Alaska, tended to fly other airlines more, due to my frequently Midwestern destinations, but I digress... First off, their customer service is great. People are friendly and cheerful, but not fake. I'm sure that much like Southwest, it's because they treat their employees well. That makes me happy too. I'm all about supporting businesses that test their workers well. I recently had to travel with my arm in a sling, so had to check my bag instead of carry it on like I normally would. When I went to the counter to check my bag and pay, they didn't charge me, since it was carry-on size and weight, and I only had one other carry-on. How kind is that?? As for the facilities, all of the Alaska planes I've been on in the recent past are quite comfortable. There is extra leg space in coach, compared to other brands. The headrests on the seats are adjustable. There are power charging ports at every seat (WHAT?!?!)... The food options are fairly tasty too, even if you have to pay a premium price for them (try the fruit & cheese tray!). What else can I say? They're great, just like the state they're named after!

Yelp
My very first time but absolutely loved it.. went to seattle, Anchorage, Juneau and Glaciers island..and back.. superb service!!!! No wonder Alaska Airlines is #1...

Yelp
Terrible airline company. My institution just restricted all international travel because of coronavirus. I am a trainee and bought a nonrefundable ticket a while ago from Alaska airlines because it was cheaper and That's what I could afford. My institution makes me pay for tickets first and then reimburses me after the trip. Not only would Alaska airlines NOT refund my ticket, they charged me an additional $125 to cancel. The very rude employee kept saying "We are operating as usual" and "all airlines are doing the same thing". Ok so you pillage people when they are in a situation out of their control and when a health crisis is unfolding you gouge them for more money!??? Why would I EVER book this airline again? It's terrible for customer service!!! It's no excuse to say "all airlines are treating people badly so we can do the same". The least they could do is waive the cancellation fee in light of a HEALTH CRISIS and the fact that my institution is making me do this and it is out of my individual control. DO NOT BOOK THIS AIRLINE because they do not value their customers or treat them humanely.

Katelyn P.

Yelp
Great airline. Had food that you could order like cheese plates and cheeseburgers. Tablets you could rent for the flight to watch movies.
