7 Adventurous Things to Do in Anchorage, Alaska | Condé Nast Traveler

"My highlight was a glacier day with Alaska Helicopter Tours: it was my first helicopter ride, I walked on a glacier and drank from a glacial pool, then finished with reindeer sausage and a beer at their lodge; glacier landings start at $439 for adults, longer trips or extra stops cost more, and AHT even offers a shuttle from Anchorage for $69 per person—Sage Dudick, their communications director, described the perspective from the chopper as completely unique." - Jason Nark

Google
Alaska Helicopter Tours delivered an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our pilot, Matias, was exceptional! He was skilled, friendly and genuinely excited to share Alaska’s beauty with us. Seeing the Knik Glacier from the air was absolutely breathtaking, and the landing sites were just as stunning. On our glacier stops, we spotted someone cruising by on a fat‑tire bike, resting moose and people four wheelin which made the moments feel surreal and uniquely Alaskan. We visited in the winter and the icy landscape was mesmerizing but it left us eager to return in the summer to experience the vibrant colors and crystal‑clear waters. Communication with the staff was seamless and the convenience of being picked up right from our hotel made everything effortless. Before we knew it, we were in the air enjoying a smooth, well‑coordinated ride that felt both safe and exhilarating. This tour exceeded every expectation. We would definitely recommend Alaska Helicopter Tours and especially Matias. To anyone looking to experience Alaska from a whole new perspective

Google
The most breathtaking scenery of my entire life! The helicopter ride was incredibly amazing with an unobstructed, panoramic view! Our pilot was so handsome and took tons of stunning photos for us. We were incredibly lucky with the perfect weather and caught the gorgeous sunrise! We had plenty of time to take photos after each landing. Staring out, the entire snow-capped mountains and glaciers stretched before us—it was just the four of us, surrounded by nothing but beauty. Personally, I didn’t feel cold at all! A huge thank you to our pilot Isaac and driver Gevin!

Google
First time on a helicopter tour ever! Glad it was in Alaska with Alaska Helicopter Tours! The crew at the front desk were kind, welcoming, and very helpful during the check in process and orientation video pre-flight. Our pilot Sam was an excellent guide for the tour, really kind, and professional. Very knowledgeable about Alaska and areas we had covered overhead. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend the tour. A must see, to experience the side of Alaska you can’t find in the inner cities!

Angela B.

Google
An unforgettable experience! I went on a helicopter ride to the glaciers last year, and it was absolutely fantastic! I got to sit up front, which made the views even more breathtaking. The scenery was stunning the entire way, and our pilot, Shad, made the trip even better by explaining what we were seeing as we flew. He was real nice and thoughtful—when we landed on the glacier, he even made a little path in the snow for me so I wouldn’t get my shoes all snowy (as you can see in the picture!). It was such a special touch to an already amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Google
Our experience with Alaska Helicopter Tours was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. The views were absolutely breathtaking—so beautiful they almost didn’t feel real. From start to finish, the entire tour felt magical. Our guide was incredibly informative about Alaska, the glaciers, and the surrounding wildlife, all while being friendly and easy to talk to. We even spotted mountain goats along the way, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We will definitely be recommending Alaska Helicopter Tours to others, and we can’t wait to book another tour the next time we’re back in AK!

Diman D.

Google
Amazing experience! These guys run truly awesome tours. The pilots are highly professional, very friendly, and share lots of interesting facts about the glacier and Alaska in general during the flight. The views of the glacier are absolutely stunning — truly top-tier. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alaska!

KAJ J.

Google
Crystal is hands down the best receptionist and briefer at this company. We got extra lucky with Mathias being our pilot, he was super nice and very patient. He showed us a herd of moose bulls as well as flying around them to get us photos. He was very informative and super kind. Crystal helped us carry our twins and was super caring. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE regardless of price, i promise!!!

Google
We took the Grand Knik 2-hour, 3-stop tour with Alaska Helicopter Tours. Our pilot, Sam Rausch, gave a warm and engaging commentary throughout the trip, pointing out what to look forward to and highlighting key sights at each stop. During the flight, we spotted wildlife on the mountains, and Sam enthusiastically pointed them out to us, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see huge chunks of ice breaking off from the glacier and plunging into the river below. The landing on top of the glacier was absolutely unforgettable—Alaska’s unique landscape makes this place incredibly captivating and memorable. If you’re spending more than three days in Anchorage, I highly recommend setting aside time for this experience. Keep in mind that tours are highly weather-dependent, so it’s a good idea to leave a few flexible days as backup. We also used the round-trip shuttle service to and from Anchorage. Our driver, Trudy Lorenzen, was incredibly kind and thoughtful—she pointed out beautiful scenic spots along the way and shared interesting facts about the mountains we passed. Her calm and confident driving made us feel completely at ease.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! Our pilot Brian was awesome with my elderly mother. Helping her in and out of the helicopter. He was our personal guide and was patient to hover over animals so we could take pictures. They pride themselves on safety! I really appreciate everything and the training we were provided to keep us safe. I highly recommend this company and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Who doesn't want to try mushing at an Iditarod camp?! So fun. Trudy was on time and so friendly, sharing stories and her charger for the drive to the lodge. Greeted by a couple moose and checked in, fitted with boots and off the meet Conner our fab helicopter pilot. The team of dogs and our Mush captain, Seth the pirate (it was "Halloween") at the camp were fun, knowledgeable and ready to mush. Perfect! We all got to try it out for those that wanted to. Capped it off with the hike on Knik glacier to create a very memorable experience.

Yelp
Want a helicopter tour of glaciers in Alaska? This IS the place. Located outside Palmer (which has a cute but small downtown) this place has cabins and offers some very cool possibly once-in-a-lifetime experiences like heli-hiking and heli-skiing complete with overnight accommodations and a private chef! We did the mild-mannered glacier helicopter ride stopping in Knik glacier. Seeing a glacier from above is WAY different from just seeing it from a ship or on a lower level field of ice. Military and day of discounts. Awesome!
google avatar

Corey B.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! From Lauren the Helicopter pilot to all the dog sled staff. It was amazing being able to drive the dog sled. 10 out of 10 rating ! From landing on the glacier and drinking the water to all the great views. Highly recommend .
google avatar

Jan W.

Yelp
Will is an awesome pilot, and Daniel was so much fun to ride with! We had an amazing time flying over the Glacier area and then sledding with the dogs! Playing with the dogs and puppies afterwards was such an awesome extra! I love how they were ALL so friendly and wanted pets and hugs, and gave us so many kisses!

Ernest L.

Yelp
This helicopter tour was amazing. Our pilot Cody is the best. Very professional knowledgeable and gave us the best experience ever. He explained the entire tour prior to take off. Was very thorough on his safety inspection and his customer service skills were impeccable.

Ant F.

Yelp
I've had a lot of experiences in my 55 years, and this was probably one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Wyatt was an excellent pilot. We saw so much beauty and learned a lot. Alaska Helicopters also accommodated our 26yr old overweight, special needs son seamlessly, give him an experience of a lifetime. Just awesome. Thanks so much!
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
Amazing company! What a great way to experience the Alaskan scenery! The helicopter ride was so fun I wanted it to go on forever. If landing on the Knik Glacier, remember to bring a water bottle to get the glacier water! Definitely recommend the Grand Knik Tour!
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
This helicopter ride to Godwin glacier for dog sledding adventure was one of the highlights of our trip! Alaska Helicopter Tours were sure to make everything safe and fun! The pilots, Trevor and Brian, were incredible! The dog camp team on the glacier were super personable and fun, answered all of our questions, let each person have a turn driving the self, and gave us plenty of time to play with the pups! Worth every penny and would highly recommend!
google avatar

Avery R.

Yelp
Did a tour in mid-August at about 6:30pm. This was a fantastic tour and i could not recommend it more! the view was absolutely incredible and the pilot/tour guide was amazing as well. This is definitely worth the price if you have the money. I can't wait to go back and do another tour in the early winter or early spring months to get a different weather and view experience. highly recommend!
google avatar

Sandi S.

Yelp
One of best excursions I've taken! The sled dogs were amazing and I loved hanging with the dogs afterwards. That plus flying over the mountains and walking around a glacier provided two of the best examples of what makes Alaska a real treasure. The crew was great and the experience was perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
Sam is an incredible pilot that made me and my boyfriend feel very safe landing and taking off in remote locations. He was conversational, friendly and was mindful of what we wanted to see when taking us to the next location. (We did the two hour three location option) Knick glacier, a mountaintop, and another glacier with a landing nearby due to mounting snow. If you want an experience you'll never forget definitely book this!

Dami V.

Yelp
Booked this flight online. Got picked up by sprinter style van at the Hilton in Downtown Anchorage and brought out to the resort. The van driver was great guy, excellent personality. we had a very enjoyable ride to and from the resort. Our helicopter pilot was fantastic. Took us out along each side of the glacier and then landed us in the middle by some of the big crystal blue pools. We'll worth the time and price.

G D.

Yelp
Amazing experience - Cameron did a stellar job piloting and was super informative and engaging. He went out of his way to point out animals (which we loved) and we had a great time at all three landing spots. I would not listen to any of the (few) negative reviews on here - it sounds like they were hoping for a theme park not a glacier tour. This company is extremely easy to work with and the price is very fair for the incredible experience you are given. Do it.

Yelp
Our pilot Turner did such a good job. The other pilot Conner was good too. We landed together and it was super, they explained everything and pointed out the Bears and Moose and Swans along the way. I highly recommend Alaska Helicopter Tours and please ask for Turner He's the best and Conner too.

Mary N.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience! Connor and Turner were very knowledgeable about the glaciers and where to spot wildlife. We were able to identify a black bear, moose and 2 swans. My friends rode with Turner and I was in another helicopter with a different couple with Connor. They didn't rush us at all. Very accommodating and took some photos for us too!

Tracy L.

Yelp
The Alaska helicopter tour is an absolute must do our pilot Laura was amazing! We absolutely loved our trip and the absolute breathtaking views and experience!

Katherine M.

Yelp
We absolutely Enjoyed our helicopter tour with Connor . The Glacier was fabulous and definitely an unforgettable beautiful memory.

Wenwei J.

Yelp
Took the one hour helicopter flight to Knik Glacier. It was a wonderful experience. The landscape starts to get yellow leaves at the lower level, and full of green forest when we get higher; we would cross valleys to see mountain goats and wet land with moose; finally we would reach the endless glacier field, where you would only able to access with heli. The pilot was super skilled and she was able to getting super close to the ice field as well as passing narrow valleys. With the full window panel, the sightviewing is truly a feast. Initially we were considering two hours or four hours trips, but due to the limit time schedule we ended up with one hour. It turned out to be perfect! Tasting the flight on glacier and making one stop to explore around is just right amount of adventure for us. It would totally be worth your money for the trip! If you ever would like to do a Heli tour, do it in Alaska glaciers.

Eva S.

Yelp
I'm extremely disappointed with the service and the guide, especially during the tour. We drove for many hours to get there, but what we experienced was unacceptable! My husband, our friends, and I were not happy at all, from the beginning to the end. I didn't feel welcomed, and there was no warm greeting from the guide. The guide lacked initiative and wasn't talkative enough to provide us with sufficient information about the tour. They didn't offer any help concerning our safety during the glacier landing until we asked. Only then did the guide give a brief explanation. My husband had to ask for spike shoes, and only after that did the guide provide them, but not for everyone. The guide didn't check if the rest of us needed them. Throughout the tour, both guides were busy chatting with each other and showed no concern for us whenever we landed. When we asked for help to take a photo, one of the guides was arrogant, showing an unwilling attitude and saying, "I can just take one photo." Ironically, they took a group photo of us without our permission! We spent a lot of money expecting a great experience, but it was terrible! The landing spots didn't even have good views. I have no reason to recommend this tour at all--very bad service and poor guiding."

Yelp
This was our second helicopter tour in Alaska, and compared to the first tour with a different company, this one was by far the worst experience--from beginning to end. First, they told us we needed to pay a $150 surcharge because one of our five friends weighed 268 lbs, which is over the 250 lb limit. When I booked online through Viator and confirmed over the phone, I was told the surcharge would be around $20, not $150. What upset me even more was the reason for the charge. They claimed it was because they couldn't sell another ticket due to the total weight limit of 600 lbs per helicopter. However, here's the issue: the booking rules state that you can't book the tour as a single person--you need at least two people. We were a group of five and booked two helicopters for the same time slot, so they wouldn't have been able to sell any additional tickets anyway. They also mentioned that the total weight for each helicopter couldn't exceed 600 lbs for three passengers. However, our group's weights were 101, 110, 117, 149, and 268 lbs. Even with two helicopters, none of the combinations would have exceeded the 600 lb limit. It seemed like they were just trying to take advantage of us for extra money. Charging $150 just because one of us was 16 lbs over the limit is not a fair resolution. After this experience, I checked with the previous helicopter tour company we used and another company we booked for the next day. Both have a 290 lb per person limit, and as long as the total weight for three passengers doesn't exceed 600 lbs, there's no surcharge. That's the fair rule they should be following. And this was just the beginning. After the flight, the guide hardly interacted with us or provided any explanations--it felt more like a taxi ride than a tour. The landing site, which was the most important part for us, was also a huge disappointment. It was nothing like what we had experienced on other helicopter tours, hikes, or boat tours, where the guides were engaging and informative. We were also supposed to have better helicopters, but they told us they didn't have pilots to fly them, even though we paid for the top-tier experience. One extra tip: always ask the guide how long each landing will last so you get the maximum time you've paid for. On our 2-hour tour, everything felt rushed, and they didn't even explain the itinerary properly. Please do your research before booking this tour. There are much better options in Alaska with more reasonable prices and a better overall experience. I will definitely never book with this company again, nor will I recommend them. For $3,600 plus a $150 surcharge, this was the worst experience we had in Alaska. We drive 4 hours round trip hoping for the best experience and turn out the worst experience. The only positive point of this tour was the smooth piloting of the helicopter itself..

Diane W.

Yelp
Awesome ride to dog sledding experience. Highly recommend going up on the glacier to dog sled.

Tom G.

Yelp
Everything was PHENOMENAL, from the people to the helicopters and especially the scenery. First class operation

Ashley H.

Yelp
That was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! My husband and I took the Grand Knik tour for our honeymoon. We essentially got a private two-hour adventure with Hayden. He took us all over! We flew over the mountainsides looking for bears (which we found!), landed on a glacier and drank out of the pools of clean water and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly throughout. Couldn't recommend more strongly. We also enjoyed staying at the cabins right where the tour leaves from. Beautiful location.

Kc C.

Yelp
Our pilot Dylan found an amazing glacier to land on. It was so beautiful and peaceful up there. Would highly recommend this company
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Great people run this tour. Professional, responsive and communicative. Once in a lifetime experience. We did the helicopter glacier landing and dogsledding. Amazing - check out their pilot safety ratings and the handlers/mushers are incredibly passionate about their dog camp. We had Ben squared for the day. Pilot Ben and Musher Ben. Both extremely skilled and made us feel at ease.

Kim M.

Yelp
This was a great adventure. The pilot was skilled, personable, not in a hurry and knowledgeable about the glaciers. my husband and I loved the time spent in the helicopter and walking around the glacier. Im so happy we booked this tour!

Thuy S.

Yelp
Hayden was very knowledgeable and took us to some incredible places including finding a glacier tunnel. Thank you a memorable experience!

Paula G.

Yelp
Awesome tour! We did the dog sledding and it was amazing! From the flight with Mathias and the crew with the dogs everything was perfect. One of the most amazing tours my husband and I have done.

gina s.

Yelp
i don't have the words to describe the helicopter glacier dog sled excursion we took today, but i will try. it was other-worldly and the most moving experience i have ever paid for on a trip. worth every penny. the helicopter ride was surreal, and i cried tears of joy as we approached the doggies on the snow from the air. i was THAT overcome with emotion. i have always dreamt of sledding with a dog team as a child, ever since i first read about the iditerod in books. and now i got to experience part of that world, PLUS meet and cuddle and kiss and hug the doggies afterwards. i even got to hold puppies-- possible future world champions one day. this day was unforgettable. i am grateful to the company, its team members, and my lucky life for this opportunity.

Gerald H.

Yelp
Excellent and knowledgeable pilot, friendly staff! Highly recommend Alaska Helicopter Tours.

Kristina W.

Yelp
I am a born and raised Alaskan, have seen most parts of Alaska, but this was the most epic experience. Everything from the safe and beautiful helicopter ride, to hiking with Kate for four hours, was the most spectacular experience. I can't recommended enough as a local or a visitor. Customer service was also spectacular. From booking to unbuckling the helicopter harness, everyone was super professional, helpful and friendly. Our hiking guide Kate took about 300 pictures of my daughter and me as we hiked all around the mountains beyond Knik glacier. Above and beyond in every way!
google avatar

Stefan S.

Yelp
Outstanding company! Booked a week before my scheduled Glacier visit and dog sledding tour after another one was canceled due to rain and fog. This company is totally professional and very responsive via email when trying to get questions answered while on a cruise ship. They responded quickly and I called the next day while in port to book it. After booking, I received a series of emails confirming and asking me to fill out paperwork and a waiver, which I did immediately. Got a series of reminder emails a few days before and also the day before. Upon arrival and check in everyone was so helpful and genuine. The process was run well and like clockwork. The tour before ours ran late and caused us to leave late but that didn't have any bearing on our getting the full time promised when we booked our individual tours. It was smooth and couldn't have been better. The tour itself was also amazing. The helicopter pilot was super friendly and extremely helpful when leading us to the glacier on the helicopter. He pointed things out and took epic pictures of us on our dog sledding tour. The dog sledding tour itself was better than I could have imagined and one of the highlights of my overall trip. Again this company totally knows what they are doing, they are people friendly and super customer focused. I highly recommend this company and the tour overall.. Yes, it is pricey to go dog sledding but if you've ever dreamed of doing so, this is the time and place to do so. Not to mention the drive out to the Knik River Lodge is beautiful and breathtaking. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Had an absolutely incredible experience with Alaska Helicopter Tours. Wyatt was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide who took us to three beautiful locations and helped us find moose and bear along the way back! Could not recommend this more. Will be telling my friends. Thank you Wyatt!

Yelp
The wife saw that we could go on a glacier but we both didn't really know what to expect when we signed up for this helicopter tour. You go to the takeoff area which is located by what looks like a camping area full of cabins and you get your safety brief and sign waivers. You will be asked if you want photo/video package if you did not already sign up for this. Then they walk you down stairs and you get into the helicopter. You take-off and fly over some forest and field then BOOM you suddenly see a glacier and you fly over it for a bit before you circle back a little to find a "good piece of ice" to land on. You LITERALLY land on the glacier. The flight out is about 15 minutes. You then wait until the helicopter shuts down and the blades stop spinning and the pilot to get out. They will then put spikes on your boots (or whatever you are wearing on your feet) to help you stab into the ice. The spikes on in the middle and heel of your foot. You then walk around the glacier for about 15 minutes to see and take pictures. Ensure to follow all directions as you are walking on ice and not all of it is frozen solid and you may have some areas that you can fall through. Then you get back in and fly back. They will email you a link to view the photos and videos if you purchased that package. The pilot will make weather call so if its bad weather like it was for us they will tell you and reschedule the tour so it is safe and you can have a good experience. Overall the experience is well worth it!
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
At first they said we couldn't be on the same helicopter, which was upsetting for such an expensive endeavor. They made it work so we could be together and for that I am grateful. Shane, our pilot, was fantastic!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Such an amazing experience and one I will never forget! Alaska the beautiful! Who knew driving a dog sled was on my bucket list!

Carroll H.

Yelp
The trip to the helicopters waas great. a little more narration would have been nice to know what we were driving through. The helicopter and dog sledding were amazing. We had a great crew and weather. The only disappointing thing was finding out they offer military discounts while we were there and not when we booked and they would not issue a refund.
google avatar

Andrew E.

Yelp
Simply amazing! Zach was a fantastic pilot, and Josiah did an awesome job mushing while explaining the dogs and the glacier. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
Amazing once in a lifetime experience!! Would highly recommend to anyone that loves dogs and a great way to experience a glacier up close.

Steven F.

Yelp
The helicopter trip itself was okay, but the pilot/guide didnt give much explanation about the tour and stuff.. and our friends who went there yesterday got a really cool spot for the glacier landing but when we came there today it feels like totally different spot so im not sure what really happen..
google avatar

Maxine Marie Z.

Yelp
Alaska helicopter tour was white glove from beginning to end. Richard, or driver, was amazing and very personable. I drive seemed so very short because we were kept engaged. Shad was amazing and made our flight relaxing. I was very nervous about getting on the helicopter but Shad made be forget all that with how smooth things went. Thank you for a wonderful bucket list adventure dog sledding up on cataract glacier. IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. You guys are a well oiled machine.

Sharisse O.

Yelp
Fabulous sights to see! Great crew and staff. Our pilot was amazing in sharing his knowledge of the area and getting us safely to the destination! We will be doing this again when we come back! Thank you AHT! Sharisse

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about the Anchorage Helicopter Tour and our amazing guide, Adam! I'd never ridden in a helicopter before, so I didn't know what to expect. But the ride was smoother than I anticipated and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Definitely opt for the dogsled tour as well, because it's truly a once in a lifetime experience. We got to snuggle with baby sled dogs and hang out with the working dogs for a bit. Then we were whisked away in our own sled to see even more of the surrounding glacier area. It was so much fun! Finally, we landed atop the glacier and got to drink water fresh from the ground. It was the most incredible feeling. Throughout it all, Adam gave us a detailed history of the area and pointed out specific wildlife and nature formations. He was outgoing, friendly, and you could tell really loves his job! It's expensive, but you pack a lot in to just a few hours. Worth every penny.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
It is an amazing experience and we had the best tour guide. Bailey was so informative, knowledgeable and friendly. I couldn't recommend anyone better to take us on this once in a lifetime journey.. I felt very safe and very comfortable with the knowledge he bestowed upon us about the helicopter and the terrain.. Kayla gave us a great demonstration on safety and truly knew the inns and outs of the helicopter..

Yelp
This an unethical shady business operation. They refused a refund, the owner Angela, due to medical reasons. On the night before the tour, I was attacked in downtown Anchorage bar district; police report on file. I woke up with a concussion later than the pick up time, on that Sunday the 10th and called right away to explain why I could not make it. Then tried to book the Monday 11th to honor my booking , with concussion and all, but they had no availability. They refused a refund. Their advertising clearly says cancellation due to medical reasons is acceptable. They told TripAdvisor I was a "no show" and did not tell Trip Advisor the facts. TripAdvisor Aviator naturally, sided with their business partners, and now me the consumer got $586.07 stolen by this tour company. That is fine, if I didn't live so far away, we would be in small claims court today. However, when I return to Alaska I will get my money back, and more in courts, Thank you so much TripAdvisor Aviator for looking out for the paying loyal customer, and do screen your business partners, if you even care. Your telephone rep also disconnected the call when I explained this today following up. Advice to all of you who read this . Book directly with a reputable tour company , not here. Check the Better Business Bureaus locally. Ask questions and get written confirmation of their policies from them before using your credit card. I've been around the world, and only in my home country, can be treated like this. Book with Alaska Helicopter, if you would like to potentially experience the same.

Yelp
They made everything very easy and memorable. From a timely pickup in the morning, our driver was very sweet and welcomed us to the great state. When we arrived in Knik River, our pilot gave us an extensive briefing of fhe safety features and our itinerary. He took the scenic route round trip while giving us a run through of what we were seeing in front of us - it added colors and history to an otherwise neverending frozen tundra.
google avatar

Grizzly B.

Yelp
Ben was a great pilot/tour guide. He new a lot about glaciers and was eager to answer questions. Consequently, my wife and I had a wonderful experience on the Knik Glacier. We will definitely use Alaska Helicopter Tours to explore different parts of the Knik Valley when we visit Alaska again.

Yelp
Though I grew up in Alaska, I wanted to come in with a fresh pair of eyes, as I was visiting with my wife who had never been to the state as a tourist. As it turned out, Alaska Helicopter Tours was a definitive experience. We were graced by the presence of our pilot, Brandon the Flyin' Hawaiian, who had only been with the company for a month at that point. He was a ton of fun, with being extremely gregarious, inquisitive and not afraid of engaging in some friendly jabs back and forth. We were blown away by the experience and wish to give two big thumbs up!
